so i got a monroe about a week ago and it got this wired hard bump around it is that just swelling? or is it scare tissue? im trying to figure out if this is normal

some one said it was a wired scar tissue and said i would have to get it surgicaly cut off im freeking out is his true please help :(

you can use tap water and dont use salt with Iodine use sea salt 1/4 table spoon sea salt and 8oz water

@KatiePhillips101 H2Ocean isn't a substitute for cleaning. It's used to help the wound heal faster. My piercer said to use an ANTISEPTIC mouth wash and unscented soap to clean the piercing. Also avoid alcohol or Peroxide :3

I got mine done today :}

i use sea salt cube things, and put it in a medicine cup and stir it. then you take it and put it over the piercing and put ur head backwords. and hold it there fer 5 minutes. its a LONG 5 minutes LOL, it gets rid of crustyness, dead skin cells and all that icky stuff. I love mine, its worth it <3

i pierced my lip on feb.12 and i disinfected my pin to pierce my lip with water and fruity mint hand sanitizer .

yeah mine never got infected .

and the crust stuff , just pull your stud forward and use your finger nail to scrape it off jeez lol.

i just think thats a waste of time

and i use mouth wash to keep my mouth freshh so fiid and stuff dont stay around that circle part in my mouth.

i dont get this at all like how peoples thing gets infected to easily.

mouthwash is suppose to clean the inside of your mouth so it will help the piercing!! just get alcohol free one!! duhhh

i got mine about 2 wks ago and its not completely healed but wen i take it out n press on the area lightly it kinda feels like a pimple ball..u can feel it swollen but mine doesnt LOOK swollen at all

i had got mine twice and yes u can change it the second week if u want to. the 2nd time, i got mine done, the labret was so small, the dude had to take it out and change it. and that was the 2nd day. it depends on you and how much you care for the piercing and make sure to clean the labret u wanna change to. but i so love my labret pericing.

@lollindsayy you can get a labret retainer or u can get a straw broom stick w/ the straw. u would take a piece off and put alcohol on it and then burn the ends and stick it in your piercing to keep it open. thats what i do for my job.

Mine does hurt, I am not going to lie, but some of my friends like monkeyforever89 girl right here, said it doesn't hurt. But, you'll only truly know until you get one, I guess :)

its Probably From the Swelling.....You can either go back and get a Bigger Piece.i had the same problem..be sure to put ice near it and take ibprofen to prevent swelling

@monkeyforever89 when i used listerine the first time it didnt really burn but I switched to scope and i just got saline solution and i was it 3 to 4 times a day am I over cleaning it plus I use salt water
