Hey i hope somebody can help my beat/get past the dark knight at 5:00. After dying probably ten times in a row fighting him i hope somebody can give me a tip that can help (like maybe i could parry his attacks, i haven't been able to get it to work :/) i don't have any magic, have the drake sword, and about 300 of the super cheap arrows as my only was to attack which only do 3 damage each. Any help would be greatlly apperciated

@over9000Gokus best bet is to have a sheild and drake sword "shield with 100 stable" what i do is backstabs on them dont try to hit them straight up cause they will just deflect it and then hit bak and if you dont have the stamina to block when they hit you back ul take a hit so just keep ur sheild up until they do that specific like stab move usually they pause after then lower ur sheild run behind him then back stab then repeat

i did the same thing when at the undead asylum.... i have learned that nothin is cheap in this game just a smarter way to fight

@Hyperspacewizard he is trying to get to 30 vitality then he will upgrade stamina and strength

after the blast has cleared. It may take 5-10 mins but the Titanite slab is totally worth it. Also don't lock on to him because sometimes you get stuck when he does the body slam attack. :)

Easiest way to beat this boss at this level. Unequip your shield...it's useless at this level Two-Hand the drake sword. Roll in from the other side of the room that you did and keep rolling as soon as you hit the floor. Get between all the pillars, use an estus flask then run behind him. Now he'll usually only use two moves. The body-slam type attack you can run away, wait till he lads then run behind for free damage. The other is a slow axe slam. You run a few steps behind him then move back in

Telling yourself that it's strategic when you're using a game breaking exploit doesn't make it any less cheap, I'd give it a strong 7, maybe 8 if ya did it longer.

there is way too much talk about being cheap and easy. it's call playing smart. and everyone think it's cheap because they've been playing some button smasher or no brainer. in a game this hard, i'd take the easy way if possible. yes i use the drake sword at first oportunity arised

Every Walkthrough person, no matter how skilled they are, acts like he bought the game yesterday when it comes to the sewers! 25,000 is no chump change! The least you can do is find a way to use them!

@MrPlaysta1 Well, many of them cannot even get back to the bonfire to level up. They try to collect more items or explore some more right after the battle when the bonfire is right down the ladder. Then, they get slaughtered by basilisks or slimes. :P

Have you every thought that maybe some of the guys you fight are so tough bc you dump all your upgrades into health. This is a pretty though game but it does help if you do not just focus on one stat even if you are early in the game.

@chinojid But you sacrifice having a shield, being able to 1 hand a sword is a good strategy. You can always 2 hand it if you want the extra damage.

@Aetheraena They made parts 15-18 Private about 4 hours after release and made them unwatchable for about a day. They have since made them public again.
