The City of Waco "Cable Channel" has a excellent 2 dvd set documentary that has footage from the '53 tornado and also many first hand accounts of this day.
My mothers family was in the flint/beecher tornado. It took several days to reunite the family, after having to view several bodies. One of my aunts had a chimney crush her head. Allthough she survived, she was thought to be dead and was left in the rubble for 2 days. A babysitter who was watching them, didnt make it. They only found his decapitated body.
My great grandmother took her mother to a Dr's appt. the day of the waco tornado, instead of going shopping. Later she found out the store she would've been in (with the rest of Austin Ave.) was completely demolished. Crazy.
lol my granparents always talked about how that tornado hit Beecher(a small community in flint for those of you who dont now.) I never thaoght of it as being that bad tho.
lol and wuts up with the way this guy is talking and the BGM. its funny but serious at the same time.
Uh, exsqueeze me, is this suddenly some type of social outlet or something?
LOL, kidding. Talk all you want. Actually, jackiths, I was thinking the same thing. Of course, they were always overly-dramatic back in THOSE days. I couldn't imagine anyone in this day & age being able to say "freakish winds" and 'bull's-eye'd bomb target" with a straight face.
well i moved to arizona! BLAH! i hate it lol.. but i didn't live in flint.. i lived in swartz creek.. sorta the same lol.. but then i moved to owosso! maybe you dont know where that is.. check a corn field lol.. but i miss it! but i'm going home in 6 days WOO HOO.. like you care tho haha
haha well thats good! lol... but yea it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOTT TODAY! ew! it was like 95 degrees. .i'm just guessing.. it felt like 500 million! i hate it.. everyone's like "well arizona is a DRY heat" i dont care! its damn hott! lol.. its like swimming in lava constantly haha
LOLOLOL SWIMMING IN LAVA..omg thats hott...i wouldnt be able to survive it..im carmel tone now..id leave there a dark hursey chocolate tone..lol it was pretty hott here in Flint also.

Hi Anticyclonic - you may want to amend the byline to add the 3rd tornado of this mini-video: Worcester Mass - 94 killed
Thanks

love the melodramatic music they had in news reports in the 50's-it added the drama into news reporting. Those were the days.
