It seems like this tornado season has been one of the worst I have seen in my whole life. I live in Oklahoma so I'm used to tornado storms, but this year has been horrible! i may live somewhere in the tropics and am very far from the US, but when i watched this video, my heart broke because our country was hit by 2 supertsunamis in a week a couple years ago at 2009, and even though my family didn't lose a lot of things, i can still relate to what these people feel. my prayers go to the people in tuscaloosa and i hope they can move on from this calamity.

i live in tuscaloosa too! and it's definitely something that pictures can't do justice. it's heartbreaking walking down 15th and seeing buildings that i've visited since i was 5 and can't find and recognize anymore. i'm glad you guys are okay though! which area of town were you guys in?

@andplanesx3 stef was at our parents house south of town and i was on campus. it uprooted trees at the building where i was. when i left work i couldn't believe what i was seeing. :(

@eleventhgorgeous i was on campus in gorgas. my car was parked at the stadium so i ran across campus to get it and the tornado was there and i luckily made it out okay and fled to my parents. i'm really glad you guys are okay! if you guys need anything i volunteer at the DKE house everyday and can help in any way.

the Tuscaloosa tornado spread into north Carolina as well, but nowhere near as bad. that was our 2nd tornado in two weeks and both were devastating. god bless

I live in Mississippi and this same exact tornado began to form right over my town but thankfully moved quicj=kly out of the area before touching the ground, It moved to a town about 20 minutes away from mine and that is where it first touched the ground. It moved across the border into Alabama and Tuscaloosa and Hamilton were hit. The destruction of the tornado is unreal. It practically wiped the city near me completely off the map! Everyone please pray for all the cities that were hit.

I know excatly what yall are going through. I live in lower Alabama and on march 1,2007 we had a tornado.But yall have it way worse. My prayers go out to yall and everyone else effected by this storm.. It took us about 3 years to just about fully recover and i know it will take yall longer but things will carry on. Many pepole will ask "why did this happen to us?" God has a plan for everything. He can bring you through anything. Its going to be very hard, but it will make u stronger. <3
