Thanks for posting...love all the expert comments, but not a one of them actually has video of themselves doing anything...looked like good movement for a form he just learned.
Definitely not an authentic dragon style. But nice artwork on the walls. Except the cobra. It looks like the one John Kreese wears on his sleeveless gi top. Only worse.
Is there a specific order when it comes to learning animal forms, or some kind of prerequisite? I've always been interested in many different forms of the arts, and have started to take a liking to the Chinese...I really like the dragon and tiger open handed forms so I can combo in some throws. So far im a Judoka that has done some tkd and mma and would like to expand.
@DrVoltage1 Some styles include the 5 animals (tiger, crane, leopard, snake, dragon), the only one that comes immediately to mind in that group is Hung Gar (or Hung Ga), but a large number of Southern Chinese styles include the 5 animals. But, you can find styles that specialize in each of the different animals.
Thats Sifu Shannon Perrigo, he is actually a Hung Gar teacher, and this is just a demo of a form he learned years ago and was super rusty at. I did the filming, and he is actually fantastic at Hung Gar, wish I had some footage of his Gung Gi.......
Looks Good, by the swinging arm motion, Possibly Choy Lay Fut Derived? I've studied a bit of Lung Ying (Southern Dragon), this seems northern, with the Tornado Kick in it. From What I understand, there are Northern 5 Animal forms, but they're pretty hard to come by. The Leopard form from this same school is good too. Would love to know more backround on this form.
Took about a month, that is if you wanna get all the movements right. Sucks being out of formal training right now you know, so thank god for videos (even though it makes me feel stupid learning from them)
Yes what style is this? and is t traditional? By traditional, I mean has it bean handed down from centuries ago, or was it made up within the last 50 years?
superb perfect corgrafy

Very nice form, don't pay any attention to the insults... May I ask what sash or belt he is?
...I trained in Ba-gua-zhang for a few years. So I can appreciate the time and effort it takes to make a form such as this, look great. :)

Is this northern dragon? because it seems the attacks have somewhat of a longer reach than most of the other dragon kung fu videos posted here.

Another made up form. Hehe, doing so called northern dragon (looking at the hands and footwork), with Hung Ar braces. Who created this form?
tomwushu 2 years ago
funny dragon style, must not be from the Lam lineage.

Hi. Just one comment: you need to move from your Tan Tien or lower, from your centre of gravity, to practice with a true martial form.
Igaluit 3 years ago
What is this? Surely not Lung Ying???? I mean are you like a practicionar of Hung Gar(the bracers)
