  • Speed run? Are you fucking kidding me? Why didn't you kill yourself on the boss at 2:05 by running into him, then while you're immortal for a few seconds upon spawn, you use your special power ball to saw him to death within a few seconds. How long did you complete the game in? I've completed this in about 24 minutes I think.

  • i hate snes and sega... amiga forever!

  • I loved this, i played it till my ZIP stick made my hands bleed!

  • is it just me, or does the music sound incredibly similar to "a searing struggle" from ys 3/oath in felghana?

  • I prefer better SNES than SEGA

  • was this for the snes?

  • @LordWickedPaladin The game here is on sega, but I prefer snes. ;)

  • awsome game great music

  • great run awsome game ahhhh memories:)

  • Umm.. could that have been the easiest boss ever? Ridiculous!

  • Yeah! I remember this game! :)

I always wonder who designs a house like that? He must have a lot of enemies. Would be practical if your mother in law would come visit, I guess..

  • Whoa! So many colors for an OCS/ECS game! So many layers in use too!!! Alot of unorthodox graphical and coding techniques used, this is one of the best looking Amiga games i've seen in along time. All those special techniques in use in this game and yet NO slowdown! Amiga forever!!! :D

  • TAKE A LOOK THE ATARI ST VERSION :)xd

  • Everyone give this a YouTube search: "Ys Oath In Felghana Searing Struggle". And click the first result at the top. The music used for Stage 1 in this game was also used in Ys III: The Oath in Felghana. (-: It's not the exact same song, but the melody was used. Go give it a listen, and hear for the comparisons, then reply back to me with your feedback.

    CBDash

  • Jumping in this game always amazed/scares me xD That was pretty hard.

  • Love this game one of the best on amiga XD, Never play the snes version it's total trash compaired to it

  • This use to peiss me off. His name is Jim powers and he dies from anything. Even a guy runing into him or water droping. I never beat this game lol.

  • prefiero la version SNES

  • Maybe the best Amiga game on a technical level, great music from C. Huelsbeck, but the game play was quite boring.

  • if u say that this game is boring what about Pugsy ? :D

  • does anyone know where i can download the dos version of this

  • One of my alltime favs! The first level was easy... but the rest of the game... hrmpf. Kick-Ass Music :)

  • its kinda strange that retarded romans are running around like a maniac in the future

  • The best game and music around the world!

I´m spanish and into my country the people said me Ed Power!

    Saludos a Todos!

  • Wow, I had no idea this game was on computers too, and the main character tripped me out in this version. On Snes he's a blonde human. In this version he actually appears to be one of the aliens you're fighting. Adds so much more depth to the game's world. I wonder exactly what made them change the character, would love to hear some bits from that marketing meeting.

  • I'm pretty sure Jim is still a human here, but for some reason he has one of those winter hats with flaps on the side and big sunglasses.

  • Didn't hang about on that level, nice one. Top game.

  • cool :)

  • I rememeber I thought it was too difficult, I didn't get very far.

  • While not exact the most fantastic game ever, this game, on the technic point of view, was truly amazing. Its graphics are fantastic, and its one of the best Huelsbeck's soundtracks IMO (I would rank it 3th best one, behind Turrican and Apidya).

And already from the level 1 the game kicks your ass :D

  • I remember the music track too ^^

Good run of the level !

  • exellent run!

  • I've died at that jump plenty of times.

  • A good game with cool music...i remember :)

  • btw awesome game play, that took some skills!

  • Truly amazing music, so where can I download the music from this game and other cool amiga games from???

    ty

  • whats up with this version?

  • What's the matter?

  • Ive got Jim Power and the Lost Dimension in 3-D on the SNES and it looks completely different

  • Well, could have to do with the fact that this is the Amiga-Version, which is the original version by the way.

    All other versions are ports

  • okey dokey

  • Its amazing when people ask "what version is it" when it says right on the Video Title "AMIGA". I guess that for some people, if they don't see the word Nintendo that its not possible for any other version to exist and that it must be another version for the Nintendo!..lol.

  • a masterpiece of the art form, all my youth, amiga 4ever!

  • Great game wonderful music, amazing, amazing amazing, ful of fun.

  • Man I want the music to this game soo bad, I can't find out where to DL it

  • You can download it at amigamusic com :)

  • @gtrinityjr

Why not just get the Ys: Oath in Felghana OST instead, considering the theme song you here in this stage is stolen from Ys 3's "A searing Struggle."

  • @KyazuTheInsane

so the game made in 1992 stole a song from a game made in 2005? that's impressive stealing!

  • @Rheinheld

The game that was made in 2005, Oath in Felghana, was a remake of Ys 3, a game made in 1989. To be fair, Huelsbeck admitted to being "inspired" by YS's soundtrack >_>

  • @KyazuTheInsane ok sorry, i didn't know that. hülsbeck a thief? now you shattered a few childhoood memories :(

  • @Rheinheld

It's only, to my knowledge, this one song, though. Hulsbeck did a lot of good songs, so I'm willing to look past this one. Actually, I believe the Oath in Felghana remix of Searing Struggle actually incorporates an element or two from this theme.

  • @gtrinityjr try this: "Mixalis Rakintzis - Dikos Sou Gia Panta"

  • unforgottable hulsie's music

  • I remember playing this game a lot on Snes. It was soooo hard back in the days for me. I should probably give it another try. I love the song in this game though :)

  • this game was such a risky woods rip off

    RISKY WOODS 4 EVA !!!YO

  • Quite unlikely as both games were roughly released around the same time, Risky Woods was acutally released a little bit after Jim Power.

  • just seems weird how they both have them stone monks and the character has the same kind of face, probably the same company , i dunno, lush graphics though they need this on xbla

  • This game is impossible to beat. How many achevement points would it take for the game's completion? It's an achevement in itself to even beat the first level nevermind the entire game.

  • You should try Apidya then... Btw it also has Hulsbeck's music.

  • You would laugh about how stupid the enemies are in this game. This game is not impossible to beat, it's me you're watching playing in this video.

I have gone up to the level 5 with more than 12 lives !!!!! 100% easy, since the enemies always move to the same pattern ! Cheers, Dlfrsilver

  • I played it a LOT on the SNES. The third stage is BRUTAL. It is a LOT harder than it looks.

Trust me. If you ever played the SNES version, you would go through a lot of controllers.

  • And I realize that you said that it was you who played the TAS in the video.

Still, the game is brutal if you don't go through hours of memorization.

  • The amiga and SNES versions are different. Also, i never used TAS. I master the amiga version since 1992. And hell yes, the enemies are stupid, no brain no nothing every actions are scripted, so there is no surprise. Piece of cake as english people say.

  • Ayti einai i melodia tu Dikos sou gia panta apo Rakintzi!!!This is the melody from Mixalis Rakintzis Dikos sou gia panta!!!

  • Cool ^^ Jim Power is one of my favorite Amiga games...

  • Wow. I can not imagine the hours you put in to actually getting good at this godawful impossible game. Kudos to you, my friend.

  • No kudos my friend thank you. Jim power is the easiest game out there. i have played the 1st time with it in november 1992, what amazed me is how the sprites are DUMB, they always do the same move at the same place !

You can't be EVEN hit by then ! That's why this game never sold well in despite of it's great features.

  • very nice! you play well, I have this game in my snes (no emulator) and it's so hard to me... anyway, in snes looks better, have better sounds and is faster...

    I love the song!! hehe

  • Hello i'm DLFRSILVER, the guy playing all these 5 levels ;) what do you think of the way i play this game ?

  • man i hate this game. the 3d version was worst

    for the snes.

  • WinUAE is an amiga emulator, if you dont know much about Amiga you will have a hard time setting it up & getting it running - in that case its probably easier to stick with Deliplayer - as explaining all this would be impossible here - sorry.

  • Okay I got the delitracker that I'm supposed to somehow connect with the WinUAE program, and I'm having a real hard time doing that. How exactly do I configure it in that way?

  • Any idea of where I can get the game? O_O

By the way my favourite song on the original soundtrack is bugged, like this instrument sounds crappy, do you know if any other site uploaded the soundtrack in same format?

  • Play Asia has it - but it isnt cheap, as its rare.

I dont think the file is bugged - its more like DeliPlayer has a prob. Try Delitracker via WinUAE.

  • I have deliplayer, I can play some certain music files with it, but I can't play the ones I got from that site UnExotica. I think it's called an ingame file, how do I open these?

  • Did you unpack the LHA file? If no, just open the playlist and drag the LHA file into it, then the tracks should show up automatically.

  • WOOOH!! I got it running! I've been searching and wanting this for like years, ever since I was a kid I just wanted to be able to listen to this soundtrack, and now I got the originals thanks to you. I am forever greatefull :)

    THANKS!

  • And just as a little extra information - if you like the music so much - Chris Hülsbeck remade the Amiga Soundtrack with CD Audio tracks for the PC-Engine version of the game. It can be played in any CD player. The game is worth to get just for this.

  • Try www amigamusic com - they have the Jim Power music converted to MP3s.

  • WOW I love this music! This game has such great music, could you like record some and put up? It sounds awesome, also you're a better player than I ever was on Jim Power ^^

  • YOu can download the music at the UnExotica webpage - but your player must be able to play amiga formats :)

  • What player do I need? And do you know where I can get it?

  • Deliplayer on PC

    Delitracker on Amiga

  • check this out..one of the best greek rock of 90's

    the video's code is: Z0wFOB5pX3c

it has the same music and some people say that jim power stole music from this artist, michalis rakintzis.

  • hahahahah, me and my mate always thought of that! thanks for pointing that out!

  • It's false, chris huelsbeck never copied anyone for his musics, and your michalis rakintzis music has nothing in common with jim power. Where the hell these people said this kind of bullshit ?

  • who knows perhaps he heard this during a summer in greece :P I am joking! Have you heard rakitzis song?

  • Yes, and it doesn't have anything in common with

    CH musics on jim power.

  • all the debate is about this break on 00:31
