  • While the Oakville site is an exceedingly poor choice (to say the least) the bigger issue is whether a plant is needed at all. We don't need 'put downs" about flat screen TVs and electric cars, we need an independent assessment of the OPG s demand analysis. IF (a big IF) the need is there, why not Nanticoke for a site? The power distribution system is in place, and will not be needed when the coal fired plant there closes.
