I don't know why you'd not believe a pro orchestra would play the simpsons theme. The original recording is done on orchestra. And the first bass line sounds off, like the bottom note's a semitone too high, it should be diminished surely? I may be talking ass.

Many orchestras try to personalize the songs so it doesn't sound like a complete copy and a little more original. They just keep the Simpson's Theme, in this case, as the base for their song.
