Can you give your opinion on the level of noise evident in the images as you go above iso 400? And, do you use any in camera noise reduction (if so, what settings)? Thanks
@sbrener the noise starts to get kind of high over 400. I try to never take a photos over 800 iso. I have tried the noise reduction settings but in my experience they don't do much.
One more question, with the older lenses, your demonstration, which appeared to be in Manual suggested that after pressing the green button and stopping down the aperture that the speed would automatically be set. Is that true? Or, does it tell you which speed to set and then you have to set it manually? Thanks
@mrjon2069 Can the speed then be adjusted manually? I've heard that the K20D has a tendency to underexpose in matrix metering (not sure what it is called in Pentax)....although I am not sure if all metering modes are available when using manual lenses, such as M42s.
Really excellent video! Great job in clearly explaining the details step by step. I am getting a K20D (have never used a Pentax) to use with M42 lenses. Explanation was helpful. I heard that there are some non-Pentax M42 lenses that require a shorting of electronic contacts to work. Was wondering if you knew anything about that (and how to tell if that is required).
