  • Absolutly best in Norwegian!

  • This is really cool, but I have to ask: how on earth does this (apparently) still rhyme? That just blows my mind!

  • @PookaDude42 They had to tweak the lyrics' translations to use words that rhyme better, but keep roughly the same meaning as the English version.

  • I like hearing Disney songs in the languages that characters in them would have spoken, such as Arabic for Aladdin, Chinese for Mulan, French for The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Greek for Hercules, etc., etc.. They just feel more natural that way.

  • facepalm 0:04

  • מפחיד..

  • gh I had high hopes for arabic aladdin, and definitely expected this song to have extra OOMPH but this genie sounds damn lazy!

  • @tropicanahana to be fair it is really hard to beat robin williams as a voice actor

  • @tropicanahana fuck youuuu!!!!

  • Legit.

  • بؤلك إيه الريش دا بيهول oh genie~ XDD

  • <3333333333

  • Holy high quality. @__@

    But really omg

    Aladdin in Arabic?

    Yes, please.

  • aladdin is the only arabic version of a disney film i enjoy more than the english

  • did he say

Amir Ali ""Manush abi"" Ali Ababuwa?!

    "the pussy of my father?"

    OMG

  • @jaguar4u2012 lol

    no.

  • @jaguar4u2012 i heard it as "malehshu matheal " as in "there isn't any like him" !!

  • @MyWhiteWings

well Arabic is not my Strong side ><

  • Arabic is such a beautiful language...

  • Gah, I love this movie...In any language

  • النسخة العربية أفضل مما كنت أتوقع, روعة

  • egyptian accent

  • can anyone explain whats the big deal about the egyptian accent ? I mean isn't it more mainstream than any other arabic ? I don't speak it but I understand that it may be hard to understand everything in another accent but c'mon there are more than 5 different dialects of arabic spoken !

  • @onduvor Egyptian is the most well-known and it's not too hard to understand, but I think a lot of people would've preferred it in Modern Standard Arabic. As it is, it's a bit of a mix. I mean, for newscasts, announcements, shows, etc, you're supposed to use MSA, which is a 'purer' version.

And you can group Arabic into -->roughly<-- 5 dialects: Iraqi, Arabian (Qatar, Bahrain, etc), Egyptian (includes Sudan), North African & Levantine (Lebanon, Jordan, etc). Man I'm getting flamed aren't I? -_-

  • @Autumncomet The issue is that the audience these movies are intended for (younger kids) may not have been in school long enough to have a sufficient command of MSA.

  • Long Live The Iraq !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and the original story wasnt explicitly set anywhere...in the story it says that aladdin is from china but at that time china simply meant it was "far to the east" but all the characters had arabic names..like aladdin meaining glory of religion...randomgameplayer1 is on the right track too because the china of the story is an islamic country...

  • There seems to be some debate on here as to the difference between Arabs and Persians and whether or not Aladin the movie would have taken place in Persia.

Can someone clear up the misunderstanding?!?!?

What's the difference between ARABS and PERSIANS?????

And why do you think Aladin is Persian???

If anyone can help that would be great

  • @ChampionElCid The story of "Aladdin" was not placed in Persia, it was placed in Baghdad, Iraq. This story was one of the 1001 Arabian tales told. In terms of culture now, the only difference between them would be the language. However, the Persians weren't influenced by the Arabic culture (mainly the Islamic culture) until around 650 A.D and in 1979, Islamic Revol. Before then, they were mainly ruled by their own empires and dynasties as far as 2800 B.C. by the Parthians and the Sassanids.

  • @RandomGamePlayer1

But wait, weren't Iraq and Iran once the Persian empire?

  • @BigDogJang0 The era of expansion of the Islamic started around 620 and ended around the middle ages or a little later. I think that most of Iraq was taken over by 680 or around the start of the 700's. Also yes, the area that the Persian empires covered were also in the areas of Iraq, I'm sorry I forgot to mention that, but that was more that 2000 years before Christ was born. In this movie, they're already mentioning some Islamic references, which would mean that Iraq was already under Islam.

  • @ChampionElCid What The Fuck Alladin Is Arabic Iraq You Idiot And No Arabs And persians Dont Are Brothers You idiot Iran Is Fucking Kafir Schitten !!!!!!!!!

  • 1;32 is the best part xD

  • Why ?! Why ?! Why Disney have to use Egyptian accent to his Arabic version :'( "3andou khamssa ou khamssin Gamal dahab". WHY GAMAL ?! IT'S JAMAL !! SHIT !

  • @MrMrStaff okay then if you wan't one in your dialect then go ask you're country for one and don't watch the movie in this dub okay it's not our problem that you're country don't want to dub disney movies ^^

  • @XxshamangirlxX My country's arabic are worst :) I'm only saying that they should have make the disney movie in classical arabic :)

  • @MrMrStaff they have egyptian accents because the dub was done by all egyptian actors... : )

  • So, it seems that all the disney movies are in egytian dialect for what i watched...

  • i love the king :D he's so cute!!!!! didnt watch it since really long time ago!!! im almost forgetting the story!!!

  • I think this is egyptian dialect.

  • @rolfen

    Aladin (the arabic dub)

was dubbed in egyptain XD i like it cuz fos-ha is too formal for this movie (Foss then Ha distinguish between the s sound and the h, its not like "sh"

  • how do they call hem here

    i know malic is king

and vazir is a political figure (cant explain)

but i cant understand how is he called here?

  • @1ziber1 Emir means prince.

  • Emir Ali

  • THIS IS SO COOL

  • So, it seems that Ali Ababwa is more correctly 'Alī Abābwah (عليﺍﺑﺎﺑﻮﻩ). Now, what about Agrabah? Should that be Ajrabah, Aghrabah, or Aqrabah?

  • @DrCorvinus Aghrabah ( اغربه ) :D

  • This feel very natural in a lot of ways. I've taken an odd intrest to Disney movies set to their actual languages and they all work very well, no exception here

  • @MJTRadio

you should hear the hebrew version...

  • @MJTRadio To be "acurate" this should be in the Persian language, should it not?

  • this version is with egyptian accent not with classical arabic accent

  • the english version is more beautiful than the arabic in this song

    i'm arabic by the way

  • Usually, I don't like the Arabic version of any Disney song, but this fits extremely well. Maybe, dare I say, it even sounds better than the English version.

  • i like the way he sings at 2:19

  • this makes me wonder if any other countries make movies which take place in america and have them do things/make references that only the natives wud know

  • arabic sounds kinda french

  • Can't you guys just settle for Agrabah residing in an indeterminate location in the Arab World? FUCK!

  • This version is awesome! :D

  • auf arabisch ist es soooooo geil

  • @PrinzessSnowWhite its in arabic better

  • that is awesome...better than german and even better than the original version!!!! :D

  • its in Egyptian arabic accent btw, so u'd all just know

  • if u got here form 4 chan say I

  • itsb arabic you guys

  • Irgendwie müsste ja arabisch die "authentischste" Sprache für diese Serie sein... aber ich finde, dass auch Sprachen wie HINDI sehr gut passent :D

  • Poor guy at 2:25

  • Disney movies, for some reason, sound better in the language of the country that they're set in. lol

  • @icypoetry

Yeah:) I know this was originally in English, but for some reason listening to it in Arabic feels like I'm listening to it in the way it's meant to be:).

  • @icypoetry i know right! mulan sounds better in mandarin!

  • @icypoetry i thought the same :)

  • @icypoetry ...........this is in pershia they dont speak arabic there...

  • @GreedAndDoom

Really? How do you know? Aladdin takes place in a fictional town called Agrabah. I always thought it took place in old Saudi Arabia.

  • @icypoetry i think its in pershia, but who knows.

  • @GreedAndDoom Actually, they do speak Arabic in Persia (Iran). They also speak Farsi. But Aladdin is supposed to be in Disney-style 'Arabia'--I mean, one of the songs is 'Arabian Nights,' after all.

  • @icypoetry have you heard hunchback of notre dame in french?

  • Comment removed

  • @icypoetry The Thanksgiving Parade commentary sounds even funnier in Arabic too...imagine a Thanksgiving Parade in the Middle East!

  • @icypoetry Yes Ist Arabic Iraq !!!!!!!!!

  • @icypoetry probably cause its easier for voice actors to adapt, since it's their native toungue

  • I love the arabic language although I don't understand any word =D

  • OMG!!!!! i love this :D does anyone know where i can find the full movie PLEASE!!!!!!!

  • Well, Jake Gyllenndal DO look like the Prince of Prince of Persia. He just doesn't have the correct eye color...

  • Where can I find this movie in Arabic?

  • Johnny -> Wow someone who wants to see Prince of Persia. (Had a hard time finding someone who would like to come with me to see it... )

I hope you do know that Persian doesn't speak arabic by the way...

  • Arabic suits the movie more than Hindi

  • Things like this are why I will refuse to watch anything but the arabic dub of the upcoming 'Prince of Persia' movie.

You can't cast British actors with strong British accents in a movie set in freaking Persia.

  • @JohnnyV83 LOL, funny thing that some of the "Persian" people in Prince of Persia have blue eyes and dark blonde hair. xD

  • @Niobesnuppa man, they are all caucasians. you can find more blue eyed blond people amongs tuareg tribes than in sweden lol .. and everyone know jewish and semit people have blue eyes.

  • @zecle Oh, indeed.

  • @JohnnyV83 i totallly agree!......but will hollywood ever get it??? i seriously doubt it.....they could have at least made an effort by casting and indian bollywood actor or an arab...or maybe even an iranian for correct reference (persian or tajik)...but they cast someone of scandanavian decent (jake gyllenndal)???!....what the hell?! what's next, they going to cast brad pitt to be ghengis khan??.....sometimes i wonder if hollywood needs better casting directors.....

  • @y2takerredmachine as it turns out, the villain in the movie is a famous Indian actor (famous for playing Gandhi in fact), that and Jake Gyllenndal is half-Jewish; which makes him one of the few cast members with any claim to heritage in the old Persian Empire.

    Strange isn't it?

The British accents still bug me.

  • @JohnnyV83 dumb amerikan

  • @JohnnyV83

Jake gyllenhal is half ashkenazi jewish not sephardic jewish. Hence he still has no relationship to the middle east. Ashkenazi jews are from europe.

  • @rencrow They still are descended from Jews that lived in the Middle East. They just lived in Europe for 2000 years. They migrated during the time of the Roman Empire. There was some genetic mixing, but Ashkenazis remained pretty endogamous through most of their history.

  • @JohnnyV83 no a lame yanky accent would bug people

  • @JohnnyV83 Ist Arabic Iraq Aladin !!!!!!!!

  • @JohnnyV83 you do realize that the people of iran(persia) dont speak arabic, they speak persian... lol dumbass

  • @theptownboyz We actually speak Farsi, but I guess you can call it Persian too. Although some parts of Iran speak classic Arabic.

  • @JohnnyV83 We speak Farsi (Persian) in Persia, not Arabic.

  • @stylishy Dumb slut, this is supposed to be in Iraq, not Persia.

  • @aerosolXlove ..I didn't mean that this movie took place in Iran, it is obviously Iraq. I was replying to someone who said that people spoke mainly Arabic in Iran, when the main language is Farsi. Sorry if I caused confusion.

  • @stylishy Nah, clearly I over reacted. My apologies :)

  • @aerosolXlove It's not Iraq either, you retarded fuck face.

  • @ovar9k It's actually been said in many interviews that Aghraba (not a real place) is modeled after Baghdad (which is not only a real place but also in IRAQ) :)

  • @aerosolXlove Exactly. It was only modeled after Baghdad. It was not set it Baghdad. Being modeled after a place in Iraq does not mean its setting is in Iraq.

  • @ovar9k WOAH, WOAH, WOAH, THERE! its just a movie dude, no need to cuss ppl out over wat country this takes place in, france, right? LOL! JK, JK!!

  • @JohnnyV83 yeah? why not watch in persian? I hope you no persians are in no way related to arabs

  • it is egyptian language

  • Can anyone link me to the arabic lyrics? (in latin writting) I want to learn to sing it = ) heh heh

  • That song is even better in arabic woww! I love it. I wish I knew some Arabic. And the video quality is very good. I'm happy someone put it online ^^ Thanks.
