  • HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

  • Ok, I lol'd XD

  • I like TOS model better too.

  • AAAAHHHH!!!!!!!! The way it should have been.

  • lol well done

  • thank you for saying what we all were thinking.

  • I almost hurt myself laughing when the Planet Killer went by. 83

  • Thats the dumbest thing i've ever seen!!!!

  • Thats the dumbest thing i've ever seen!!!!

  • as much as i like the new star trek movie, the new enterprise does look a bit shit, especially compared to the old one

  • Was that the probe from the 4th star trek movie and the shuttle craft from the Abrams film?

  • HA! That's the Art Asylum Enterprise, init?

I have the same thing XD

  • @jocax188723

    Hell no!

That's the 1400 dollar, 3 foot long, Master Replicas Enterprise. :)

  • @SpockBoy

    WHOA! Okay! Brilliant!

  • Very funny !!!! Love the "ping" of traffic lights in space. After all there is no sound in space.... Hey, wait ! There are no traffic lights there either !!!!! BWA-HA-HA-HA !!!!

  • I didnt expect the doomsday machine lol

  • the doomsday machine made me lol

  • That... was logical...

  • "Douche Trek"

  • LOL!

grow up, though, guys. there's nothing we can do about the JJprise unless Paramount starts going "gag me with a spoon" themselves. besides, there's enough JJPrises to blow up in games to take out the distatste at cuves on.

  • Too funny. LMAO!

  • Dude, it's a joke.

    Hence the traffic lights.

  • @SpockBoy read Son of Monolith by any chance?

  • More like nerd rage. Trek XI was an awesome movie....a much needed reboot to a tired franchise. The "correct" timeline was wreck after so many rotten series (Voyager, Enterprise) and so many rotten movies (anything after Star Trek VI). Starfleet had become too dark and cynical and the writing had lost all creativity. This new timeline gives a chance to write some decent stories again, return to the fun and optimism of the original Trek.

  • @KenoshiAkai

    IT'S A JOKE!

    Again, hence the traffic lights!

    No rage here. ;)

  • @KenoshiAkai Return to the fun? Are you nuts? That spastic guy imitationg DeForest Kelley with "I'm a doctor, not a ...." is so dumb! And look at Kirk or all the others! It has nothing to do with the original idea! ST XI is all about "BANG BOOM BOFF CRASH BLA BLA".. this movie is wreckage! I bet Gene is turning around in his grave!

  • that was surprisingly funny lol

  • Yeahaaaaaa!!!!!

  • While I enjoyed the re-make, this did cause me to crack a smile. :D

  • roflmao! loved the video!! Very Funny!!!!

  • The Enterprise drive by was amusing, the Planet Killer made me seriously LOL.

  • @fang207984 They are not Greats Birds of the Galaxy" they are pigeons at most. The modern trek person who has come closet to being the next, "Great Bird" was Ronald D. Moore till he dummed down BSG in series 3 and 4.

  • 0:18

Driving instructor: Mr Decker you really have a death wish don't you.

  • Very original and very funny. Great job.

  • My wife can't tell the difference between the old Enterprise or the new one but then again she did try recharging my Nanopod with a mobile phone charger plugged into the earphone socket.........

  • Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor--not a traffic cop!

  • Really funny! The doomsday machine was the punch line!

  • PLANET KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just once I wanted to see the Original on the Big Screen. How come TNG Enterprise got a chance? Then again, was it necessary to destroy ENT-D?

  • JJ Abrams..."If you guys don't like my out-of-portion, discontinuity, skewed version of the Enterprise. I'll take my money and go home"

  • @SolarisBreeze57 Trek fandom, "Please do, go and work on your other numerous projects".

  • pointlessand an insult to star trek rodenberry would be outraged not just at this video but every other star trek video that bashes the franchise

  • @luigi19987 I think he amd Matt Jefferies would love this video especailly after watching the action, sexed up, character less limp of a Trek film that is Trek XI. It makes Nememsis look like a Blockbuster character piece.

  • @Traininghopper there is a perfectly good excuse as to why this enterprise looks diffrent it is a alternate universe which means there are bound to be diffrences

  • Doomsday was a nice touch! :D

  • The doomday machine was the funniest part ever!

  • The original Star Trek is better in every way...and I am a almost 19 year old GIRL!

  • This is So Funny!!!!

  • HAHAHA... I enjoyed that just for the Doomsday Machine going by. XD

  • lol

  • Good stuff ! Good message also !

  • Poor shuttlecraft running into the Doomsday Machine :( lol

  • Now THAT one was funny.

  • @lonstar70 agreed

  • Nothing will ever beat the Enterprise refit version first seen in the Motion Picture. The Nacelles on the 2009 version are just far too small.

  • YEAH!!! Blast that crappy version of the enterprise. Original is the best!

  • lol

  • lol

  • The designer for the original config Enterprise died whilst serving aboard the Kelvin.

  • Even though I enjoyed the new Trek film.... I can't really grasp the reasoning for them redesigning the most important character in the whole Star Trek series... The original Enterprise.

To me, this new movie and any sequels to it are nothing more than part of a spinoff from the Star Trek we all know and love.... I realize that the whole selling point for the movie is the return to the original series era.... But I think it's a mistake to mess with the core ingredients.

  • @bdw118 i really am surprised as trek fans we cant seem to understand why the ship is diffrent yet there is a good excuse which is valid it is not the same universe it is an alternate reality the chracters are there starfleet is there earth is there but it looks diffrent and events are not the same this is what makes it intresting because now they can make a seperate timeline but borrow some old ideas and make new ones as well also it would be odd having two ships that look the same

  • Constipation Class USS Edselprise

  • This makes me think of the Rat Fink video - Tales From The Rat Fink.

  • LOL (on the vid) esp the Klingon ship with horn and then the Doomsday Machine that was FUNNY...

  • Cute! Monty Python meets Star Trek.

  • I wonder who was piloting the shuttle craft. Kinda hard to miss a planet killer bearing down on you. :D

  • Comment removed

  • @alexfanx Uh...that's a plastic model Brainiac. ; )

  • Well, it just looks too smooth, maybe it needs some old fashioned film?

  • @alexfanx A-ha! Now you have an excellent point.

We're so used to seeing the Enteprise on grainy film that seeing it sharp, clear and smooth looks kinda funny. Good point. : )

  • Enterprise drive by,

  • why does noone understand the alternate reality has to be diffrent why should it be the same

  • I know what you're saying, but what does George Kirk's death have to do with starship design? LOL

  • it's acutally likely that designs and technology would change. What would you do if a MASSIVE powerful romulan vessel just obliterated one of your ships like a hot knife through butter? besides who is to say that the would be designer of the TOS enterprise wasn't aboard the Kelvin? for all we know, he might have been. Keep your mind open and save your judgements for the next movie, if Abrams makes it a stinker then rag on him, but he nailed this one ont he head. he made star trek fun again!

  • @KillerSwiller

C'mon man stay on topic. We're talking about an aesthetic here. It's like talking about the design of a sports car. It has lines. If anything the new Enterprise looks like a stylized statue that could snap in two the way the nacelles are put on to that non existent secondary hull. I thought JJ did a fabulous job on the film. Loved it! He DID bring back Star Trek, but we are talking about an aesthetic design of a FICTIONAL starship from a TV show. Stay focused. : )

  • nothing what i am saying is that it is a diffrent timeline this is why the ship looks diffrent it does not need to look the same as the prime universe

  • Actually the ship looks different because JJ Abrams hired Ryan Church as the designer and said to him; "Make it look like a hot rod"

This design is what Ryan Church thinks the Enterprise should look like. It has absolutely nothing to do with the story. Church has worked with JJ before, which is why he was hired in the first place. : )

  • The most beautiful ship of all times and they screwed it.

  • Well Personally, It kinda looks alot like the old enterprise but with a few more differences. At least they stayed with the orignal Saucers and 2 naccelles behind it. You know what I mean?

  • lol @ the Planet Killer.

  • To be honist i like the old one better, it just seems more commanding some now.

  • i love your view of things

  • ROFL! Although I like the new Enterprise just fine, this video is hilarious. My dad HAS to see it!

  • Damn Straight......The original Blows away that crappy new version of the enterprise.

  • @Panzerjock --- Yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .

  • RONTLMFFAO!!!!!!!

  • Cool. I disliked the new Abrams Trek on many levels.

  • The canon is what makes Star Trek, STAR TREK. How would you like it if you lived in the USA but never knew about the Revolution? It's HISTORY, and you can't pass it up.

  • OMG, this video is friggin' hilarious! I HATE that new Enterprise. It looks like it was designed by a third-grade art class.

It's my sincere hope that this movie is the only one set in that lame alternate timeline, and that the next movie is set in the "correct" timeline. With any luck Star Trek XII will feature Captain Sulu and the USS Excelsior. Either that or Captain Chakotay and the USS Voyager (since Admiral Janeway apparently landed a desk job after getting home)....

  • Agreed. Abrams whole movies needs correction.

  • They shouldn't have made a movie where we would have seen the old one at all, they should have continued moving forward (maybe on to the Enterprise-F?), as was the case with REAL Star Trek.

  • Actually with the Kelvin destroyed the Timeline was changed. With both Gene and Majel Roddenberry dead. JJ needed to redo the whole timeline change due to the fact it is in the hands of CBS/Paramount.

There has always been an alternate reality with Star Trek.

And, ILM took extra care in redesigning an Enterprise which kept with the modern era. The old Enterprise had transistors not microchips in it. They used a 1960's design for a 23rd Century spaceship.

  • ROFL! This is classic! You should have added a Gorn as a traffic cop getting run over!

  • I'll shall rise the LOLWUT flag immediately, sir.

So many elements in such a short span of time. Wow. I can't stop laughing.

  • hah jolly good show

  • lol

  • I'm rather fond of the new "Old" Enterprise, though this is simply hilarious. XD

  • Short and sweet, it is a riot!

  • LOOOL xDDDD

  • Even though I like the new Enterprise i find this hilarious.

    5 Stars

  • love it keep on going

  • You do know that the Enterprise in JJ Star Trek is about 4-5 times larger than the one for the show :s

  • Thank you!

    My feeling exactly!

  • azz you are correct"

  • Spock Boy, I laughed so hard I had to change my underwear, I blame you.

  • I believe the correct colloquialism to use to rebut Mr barcode's derogatory comments about those of use who prefer a logical progression in timelines from A to B to C in our science fiction would be PBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBSSSSSPPPPTTTTT! (One has to imagine the spittle flying from the raspberry/Bronx cheer)

  • Great vid, but I think you got the scale wrong of the Alternate Reality Enterprise, isn't she supposed to be much bigger than the TOS version?

    LOL!!

  • Neat video! Love the sound you used for the big blue doobie. Doomsday machine thing.

  • You hardcore Trekkies are the saddest, sorriest, whiniest bunch of assholes I could ever hope to meet. J.J Abrams delivered a excellent film that was fresh and exciting, while staying true to its roots, but no, that's not good enough for you lot. I suppose you want them to haul the old cardboard-and-plywood sets out of storage and cram Shatner's colossal gut into a yellow command shirt for the next movie. Somehow I don't think that will work.

  • LOL!

    Well said!

  • Star Trek XI was a cool space movie, but not Star Trek. Period.

Oh, and it would have been a wonderful idea to use the old sets of the Enterprise, as it was supposed to be the same ship.

  • @Azzameen99AZ those sets were demolished the stuff was autioned off including the seats and costumes

  • It's all so black and white with you people isn't it? Just because I don't fully appreciate the (average) job they did with the new movie, does not mean that I'm suck in the past or want to see Shatner (at 78!!) being Kirk.

Get a clue will you?? It was a decent movie. I'm sorry that the people you've encountered have been so close minded on the issue but there's no need to generalise like that. It makes you look ridiculous.

  • I don't understand why I should have to lower myself to that level in the first place ... !

  • I'm sorry if I upset you, my comment wasn't really directed at you, it was directed at a small group of fans who seem dead-set on hating this new movie for silly reasons.

  • barcode1000101: Speak for yourself! JJ Abrams' film was far from excellent and there was nothing fresh or exciting about it. Nor was it true to it's roots. ST09 was a lens flare, plothole filled shitfest.

It was Abrams' version of Star Wars using Gene Roddenberry's characters.

Yes, The film sucked as bad as the redesign of the Enterprise. Or as we call it, the "Constipation" Class Starship!

It was a bad sci-fi film which contained elements of Star Trek. That's where the similarities end.

  • If you truly feel that way about a sci-fi movie, I feel very sorry for you.

  • The timing is very good...almost Terry Gilliam good.

  • Haha, the Klingons.

  • The new Enterprise definitely looks much better in motion.

  • Even though the new Enterprise looks like the old one was swallowed by Chiclets, I still like the new design, although it could use a little work.

    That said, this was hilarious.

  • I acually really liked the new ship it managed to look new and fresh while still retaining that 1960's charm. That's brillant design to be able to blend those two features into its look.

In fact that just somes up the whole film it was brave enough to take its own direction and make its own canon while still remaining faithful to the elements that made the original so enjoyable.

  • You know what, its an alternate universe, a lot has been changed, I am just so glad that the triumvirate is back: Kirk, Spock and McCoy. Give me KSM in any damn form, I don't care!

  • Poeple say there will be more ST Movie. Probably (not sure), the ,,new series" can end like everything going to back normal... And also the new movie is a alternate time line. So there also can be a nother time line, the TOS time line to. Just in a different dimension or something. Like the mirror universe. So don't be sad because the change. Untill i don't hear about different i belive there are also the TOS timeline, just it is hidden now. :-)

  • I agree, since Enterprise, the whole ' Trek ' idea has gone down the crapper

even if you miss out the whole ' Star Trek ' canon idea, lets be realistic, its 50 years since TOS was made, but it should of stayed as it was, with the remastering at best, Paramount should of gone forward in time, not remaking whats already done ( enterprise and this film )

For any real trekker, yes, this film and enterprise is bull, for joe blogs who just likes sci-fi, be my guest

  • What do you mean "for any real trekker?" Do you even know what you're talking about? Even Roddenberry had spoken of making a film going back to the old crew's academy days. Does that make him not a true "trekker?" If he had his way, half of your so-called "canon" wouldn't exist because he didn't like where Trek was going in the films and even with the later seasons of TNG. Why don't you just let Trek be whatever it becomes and just appreciate the fact that it's even still around to enjoy.

  • All this bickering among the so called "fans" is ridiculous. I like the old Star Treks and I like the new one. Who cares about continuety so much? Its a film about people in spaceships!

I think all this faffing about facts is what killed Star Trek 4 years ago. Enterprise was obssessed with trying to explain 'canon' etc, pandering to the die hard nerds and forgot that it was supposed to be entertainment. Entertainment is NOT about recounting detailed facts from a fictional encyclopedia!

  • Lol, you never saw Enterprise did you?

Enterprise's motto was "screw canon", which is why it was unpopular.

As for the vid, Abrams' shitty ship is LARGER than the Galactica! It's twice the size of the original NCC-1701.

    It's freaking ridiculous.

  • I think why enterprise didn't do so well because they took a to "adult drama shoot-im-up" fell to it insted of the "fun space advenchure" the other seires had. if somthing is to adult then kids can't watch it and kids are a renuable resorce when it comes to keeping somthing populer.

  • I know that's why it's awesome. It's big and has lots of firepower and can go real fast. :)

  • Quit your Whining its just a movie and it was just a tv show.

  • the new enterprise is a beauty

  • THANK YOU! They were told they couldn't alter the exterior of the ship. It's bad enough with the interior looking like an Apple store.

  • I think the motion picture refit enterprise is the hot sexy momma.

  • Lol excellent !

  • Oh that's too funny!

I can remember back in 87 when my beloved midnight reruns were replaced by some poncy French guy commanding a ship that looked so top heavy and ugly. I was appalled! By the third season I loved it. Next Gen may well be the best written TV show in history. I even bought a few toys of that ugly Galaxy class ship too.

I'll be buying this one too I suspect.

  • my main concern is that since this creates an alternate TOS, there will be TWO seperate 'canonical' timelines that will have to be maintained at the same time while purporting to be part of the same franchise. it's not like Galactica's reboot that effectively swept the slate clean and started from scratch keeping only the names, basic themes and most iconic designs to create a different show altogether. the old timeline still 'happens' as Older Spock and Nero come from it and is still 'going'.

  • Good point, I would actually be interested in seeing the original timeline after Romulus gets destroyed in the supernova. Make another next generation film-PLEASE!

  • Hee! That made me laugh....!

  • The Old E is a goldie

  • I never understood what so many people are obsessed with Star Trek so much that they get in stupid fights over the internet and stuff like getting mad because something in a movie made post-1960 might look a little different than it's 45 or so year-old counterpart (which was made when technology clearly wasn't as advanced as it is now). It's an updated movie, get used to it...

  • Fans are upset because this movie, like the TV series "Star Trek: Enterprise," rewrites the franchise's on-screen history.

Gene Roddenberry, who created the franchise, made sure that all the TV shows followed the histoy laid out in previous episodes/series before he died.

  • the fact is, jj is "changing" the past, changing the ORIGINAL Enterprise, and that is unforgivable. I wont go to cinema to see it, i will wait to download here, on the net

  • I agree, taxtor!

  • Really fun video, nice work!

The new Enterprise is cool, I like how it looks something like the refit Enterprise and 1701-A from the movies. If I had designed it I would have pushed the neck forward but oh well, I like what I've seen of it so far.

  • DAMN NERDS!!!

I'm a Trek fan loves all Trek and likes the new Enterprise so far much as he loves the old one. For your information William Shatner likes the new Enterprise. I hate whiney hardcore Trekkies. This film is for a new generation. If you don't like it then don't watch it. You all are just full of cry babies that just never like changes at all. You all are killing Trek which is another reason why we are getting this new film. *rolleyes*

  • Some ways I do agree that Rick Berman lost his magic after Voyager even I loved Enterprise too.

  • I agree with you. Some fans are not happy with the Idea of Star Trek being redesigned and Rebooted. But This has been done before. Anyone Remember a little show Called Star Trek: The Next Generation?

Roddenberry Changed everything--includeing the Ship! And I believe there were fans back then who complained about it then as they are now. That Show was accepted, But Time will tell if the new movie will be.

  • No. TNG was not a reboot; it was a sequel. Please peddle your TNG/ENT propaganda elsewhere. Have you considered TrekWeb?

  • I'm not peddleing anything. I'm just stateing my opinion. Isn't that what everyone else is doing? Includeing you If I'm not mistaken.

  • You state "...This has been done before. ...redesigned and Rebooted:TNG?" that is untrue: TNG existed within the same universe as TOS. The theme to Next Gen? "it's continuing mission... i.e. continuing where the NCC-1701 left off. There is also the inconvenient truth (for comfortable TNG/ENT fans) that McCoy, Scotty, and Spock all had appearances on TNG. TNG is a spinoff like "Laverne & Shirley" was from "Happy Days". You don't need to give TNG/ENT fans hell, you just need to tell the truth.

  • You Misunderstood my intentions. I'm not here to give fans of TNG/ENT hell. I'm a fan myself.

Perhapes I should have been more specific. According to the Book "Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Continuing Mission" by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens TNG is described as a Reboot. Meaning, New Crew, New Ship, New adventures.

And at the time fan reaction was simulare to what is going on with the new Trek movie. TNG didn't get accepted by fans until its second or third season.

  • how very, very sad. Get a life the pair of you!

  • You are right about fans are afraid of sth. new, but your comparison is totally wrong. By the fact that TNG really was sth. new, it went along with the philosophy "to boldly go were no one has gone before" All the other series except Enterprise did this too. That is the main reason for failure of this series. The new Star Trek movie also doesn't fit in the Star Trek philosophy. Nevertheless I hope it will be a good science fiction movie.

  • I was trying to explain the fan reaction. Which, from what I read, was simulare.

I think I saw an interview with Roddenberry where he said that some fans stated "If it doesn't Have Kirk and Spock then it's not Star Trek" As for the new film not fitting with Trek philosophy, its hard for me to tell from a two minute trailer. I guess fans will find out when they see the film.

  • LMAO! This is great! ;) That overdesigned fancy Hollywood piece of shit will NEVER be a match for Matt Jefferies's Connie.

  • HAHAHAH! That is the stuff! Go to hell with the crappy refitments, all this shit with redesign of original things and so. Let the Conny to be what it is, also the Conny refit, and phaser this crappy thing like the Conny did here! Nothing more to say.

  • Damn! You rock! Thanks for the laugh!

  • Bravo very very nice. Long Live the Enterprise as it was as it should be.

  • Captain's log, supplemental:

Gene Roddnebery - creator of Star Trek

Matt Jefferies - creator of THE Enterprise design

  • Comment removed

  • that was...actually funny.

  • I'm a star trek fan and that was hilarious.

  • lol ur forgetting the actor that plays kirk in this new movie is actualy the same as the one in star trek new voyages

  • Actually James Cawley plays Kirk in New Voyages.

Chris Pine plays Kirk in the new movie ; )

  • But Cawley will appear in "JJ Trek".

Perhabs this movie will be cool but it's going to disrespect Gene Roddenberry's vision and won't be a Star Trek movie even if it has the name Star Trek.

  • Totaly agree. This "redesign" of Star Trek is the biggest mistake ever. Even worse than the death of James T Kirk in Star Trek VI.

  • A nice one :-D :-D :-D

I dislike th new design of the legend. Especialy its interiers. BLEH!!!

  • i love the interiors! The whole point was to make it look more advanced then what you would see now. Do you really want tacky looking sets like in the previous movies?
