I enjoy the spirit of this video. I just got told by my boss here in Korea that if I take a vacation out of the country, I have to quarantine myself for 2 weeks when I get back. Utter bullshit.

It sucks for the Aussie players but itwould not have been much different had a team from South Korea visited Australia. If one of their team members had swine flu the whole team would have been put in quarantine - perhaps not for as long. Suck it up!!!

Expecting to be treated like royalty wherever they go. But if a tourist was to so much as sneeze, whilst arriving into an Aust airport, I am sure he/she will be quarantined.

The new Australian protocols for swine flu are less extreme than what we had to go through in Korea and they are for people WITH swine flu, which we did not have... and were refused to be tested for.
Just because we do things one way, does NOT mean it is the right way or should we expect every country to do it 'our' way.
Maybe if you people travel a little bit, you will find that we are not the ones in this world, and when we visit a country we HAVE to abide by their rules.

The US team that played in the Down Under Cup was put together by USA Athletes International. It was NOT Team USA. My son played on the team and had a hell of a good time. A BIG thanks to their Aussie hosts for their hospitality. Sometimes, playing LAX is just for fun.

The protocol that would be applied in Australia would have had them out on the streets several days ago. Is Swine flu also that different to the any 'bad flu of the year' in terms of its effects? I rele don't think it would harm the world that much if we were let out for 2 hours each day to play. Even if a couple of people get a cold. We could play with our masks on which would prevent it spreading... thats if we actually HAD swine flu... which we don't and if we did have it we have been taking the medication and so we would be non-contagious already...

Suddenly half a dozen people die from the flu in Mexico City, one of the most polluted cities in the world with a population of over 20 million and everyone freeks out!?
