you open with garrote. have a look at some resources like elitest jerks for confirmation is all, rather than make assumptions. Its great that everyone has an opinion but there is only one fact. the only theroy crafting that would even suggest non-garrote is pre pot openers. not too many fights allow for that + garrote. even so garrote is still optimal.

you make more damage if you open with ambush. hunger for blood only requiers an bleeding effect which can be done by several other classes. i play pve rogue myself & i know that for sure.

Now you should open with garrote.

There's a nifty talent which makes gives your garrote and rupture tics a chance to poison the target for like 1500 and give yourself 10 energy. I did some dummy dps testing, and was doing 7.4k when i kept rupture up, and 5k when just spamming envenom.

@djl0st12 lol yeah... i got my lvl 60 tiwnk rogue ( with bloodfang set ^^ and heirlooms daggers.... i just do wahtever i think convinient... like if i found that i can finish with eviscerate i will, if i think i need more time i use kidney shot, if i didnt crit and need another combo point, i use gouge... if i freaking want i can vanish and chesp shot and start again.. depends on the moment and oponent, you dont havr to have a strickly rotation... that makes the game boring... just play for fun

Even with low gear, you should be able to pull 4k envenom crits regularly. dunno whats going on with this.

Also note rupture has been removed from basically all rotations (except in deep subtelty spec, bu thats arguable), in raids there are going to be bleeds active anyway. If not, vanish for overkill, re-garrote.

lol fail - keeping rupture up is a waste. envenom does way more dmg and the effect after using it does more as well. only use rupture to reapply HFB if there isnt a warrior or feral druid already bleeding

Then rotate between envenom and rupture as needed using Mutilate to get more cp.

i learned its not if it procs, its every 45 seconds wen it procs lol. pretty much with its 35% proc chance, and 45sec internal CD its on a lot. i got the intellect one for my pally =] im not gona think about it for my rogue till he gets to lvl 80 (lvl65)

Don't get fooled by the iLevel of the item, it's amazing.

90 agility = Good

300 agility = Insane

Gives you a total of 780 AP when it strikes(given you get 2 AP per agility)

OK, big ass problem here i need help real bad. names zethiie on EU server - draenor please armory me, 2nd of all im combat with pretty good gear, BUT.. my dps is shocking i do 3.2k unbuffed once AR and KS has been popped it will then drop over time to roughly 2.7k which sucks real bad.. i need to know a spec, poison use, weapons and rotation to keep me in the 4k area P.s im using the ony 25 sword with the black knights rondel < Wrong? or is that ok? appreciate the help :)

First of all, don't use AR and KS at the same time. AR and Blade flurry on the other hand is cool, or Blade flurry and KS. Second, look up specs at Elitist jerks for the most common combat spec. Most common is 15/51/5, wound main, deadly off. Never let SnD fall off and always do 5pt ruptures or Evis if SnD is not going to drop off. Always use abilities on CD.

wound poison is good when you are combat spec but in mutilate spec there is a talent called "Improved Poisons" which increases the frequency of applying Instant poison. Thus nullifying the dps boost of using wound poison on your MH weapon.

Just a tip, not sure if this will help but it beefed up my dps by about 500 is putting Wound poison on the MH because it procs more than instant and overall hits higher :) just a tip good vid tho

A rogues dps doubles when buffed correctly. I do, (in combat spec) 2.7k dps unbuffed. If buffed correctly with no flasks or elixers. Just normal buffs and feasts, i go up to 5k dps trash pulls 6k+ on boss fights.

********TRASHPULLS**********

1. Garrote

2. Use the point(s) you got from garrote to SND

3. FoK and regular hit a target till it gets 3 stacks of deadly poison.

4. Switch to a different target and spam FoK

Note: Make sure to have TOTT up when you garrote.

5. envenom and refresh SnD

lmao axelscrib no rogue in their right mind would swap out to tp's in favour of sns,5/5 in hit gives benefit and since the hit cap for mut rogues is minimal ,you would rather get 5/5 in precision and not waste 16 hit sockets.+getting 4-5 tps for envenom would only take about 6 seconds in your opening rotation so you dont need extended snd durations.

what i do is very similar to what you do, but rather than pooling energy to SnD i pool to rupture, my rotation is mRmN

basically ruptures are GOING to overlap and you need to have maximum uptime on rupture expecially in t8, i find this to work very well .

SnD, if your rotation down, shouldn't have to be refreshed.. if you Evisc, or Envenom.. It gets refreshed automatically. So keeping up your Rupture, while having SnD up and maintaining decent dps should hopefully be easy enough. Could be wrong though, haven't played my rogue in a while. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Half the people commenting talking shit, are bad. 3.4k DPS as a rogue on heroic dummy before your 4pc t8 is extremely good. You should expect to average 2.5k more DPS fully buffed than you would on the dummy.

PS: These bads commenting probably can't pull 4k DPS....

I think you do everything right i almost play my rogue the same way just the start of the rotation is like rewanded wrote, garrote hfb snd muti critliuck env or another muti will make your dps instant go to about 2-2.5k dps and then goes up in my guild there are 2 other rogues both combat and way better equipped im just new there but making more dmg with muti other guys talking about there enormus dps should make a vid

Starting rotation should not have that much effect on sustained dps. You guys are too fixated on a single sample on an unreliable source of dps (aka. dummy). You should know this by how many times you practice on the dummy.

If however, you see a problem with the main rotation, I know there are a few different versions floating out there, then we can talk.

when you garrote then snd,your snd only last for 10 seconds,after you mutilate and pop rupture,it doesnt last long and does jack shit damage,using 1 mutilate only gets you 2-3 cps.after doing another mutilate and evenoming ,you will only have 3 cps at the expense of envanom and by that time ,your 10 seconds snd would of expired so .l2:spell and lmao ,you wont even pull 2k dps with that rotation

3.2k is VERY low even un buffed for your gear level lol. Not bad for beginning but if you really want to improve your dps, go combat. I pull off 4k dps on those dummys, around 6k in Ulduar, and im still lumbered with the crappy fist greed.

Combat is clearly the best dps spec for raiding at the moment, but how ever your decide to play is fine as that what its all about at the end of the day.

It's not an addon, you just have to manually arrange bars, recount, etc yourself.

Yeah around 3.2k sounds right.

Some people are still fixated on focus attack, they fail to realize few key points:

1. Slower MH = higher mutilate damage

2. PPM = Slower dagger means higher chance to proc instant poison when you mutilate/envenom.

3. Blizzard specifically changed poison mechanics just for this purpose. So take advantage of it.

4. Compare stats of webbed death and SR. With all the changes SR MH comes on top even if you lose some energy regen from focus attack.
