The narrative is non-linear, involving several flashbacks, and two primary narrators: Mr. Amstell and Oliver "Miquita" Dean. WTF's wrong with Charlie?! He just doesn't care about Busted at all!! James and Matt was and is always like Busted was amazing and we're really good friends and stuff. Well, it might wasn't what he wanted to do, and i respect that, but he should be glad he was in Busted, 'cause not many people ever gets an opertunity to do the things they did. Like playing in some of the UK's biggest arenas and do a television show on MTV..
True...and all that stuff is a massive deal but im guessing it doesnt mean much to him cos theyre probably not what he considers as his achievements. busted got to do all those things cos they were steered in the right direction through clever marketing and help writing songs so they produced a certain sound...at least even if fightstar play small venues and clubs and have a relatively small fanbase he can say they got all that cos of music he made (not music he was manufactured to make)
Maybe they got some help with marketing, but all the songwriting was by them, tom fletcher and some few other guys once in a while. They didn't just get fans because of their music, but also because of their great voices and performances.
And i still think he wouldn't be where he is today if it wasn't for busted. Many fightstar fans is originally busted fans.
@3450supersild However I also think Chaz was a bit overly defensive towards the beginnings of Fightstar in an attempt to shed himself of what would be a stigma in the rock scene. Hence the slight coldness towards the Busted era and an EP title like "They Liked You Better When You Were Dead". Now that Fightstar is recognized as a really brilliant rock piece he's comfortable enough to release slightly poppier tracks like Mercury Summer, Never Change and Give Me the Sky :) lol sorry for the essay

In fact he's mentioned elsewhere he's rather proud of what he did with Busted from a pop perspective. He's grateful for the time he had with them but realized when it was time for him to move on. they DEFINITELY got help with marketing....and i know they wrote all their songs but they were asked by their label to write a certain type of album - who knows what they wrote that got rejected ?

as much as i agree about amstells interviewing, it is his job and what people want to hear is about what happened with busted, as much as i would love to think the general population cared about fightstar, they dont, they got what they wanted to hear

Busted guy is treated rudely, and coldly by Amstell, but must stay overnight at Popworld after being attacked by a savage dog of the Heights and entrapped by the weather. The housekeeper cautiously takes him to a chamber but warns him to not speak to Amstell about where he is sleeping, for he would get in deep trouble.

WTF's wrong with Charlie?! He just doesn't care about Busted at all!! James and Matt was and is always like Busted was amazing and we're really good friends and stuff. Charlie's just acting like Busted was some kind of rubbish children band! That's the main reason i hate him. Not that he left Busted, but that he isn't grateful he had the opportunity of being in such an amazing band!!

Well, it might wasn't what he wanted to do, and i respect that, but he should be glad he was in Busted, 'cause not many people ever gets an opertunity to do the things they did. Like playing in some of the UK's biggest arenas and do a television show on MTV..

True...and all that stuff is a massive deal but im guessing it doesnt mean much to him cos theyre probably not what he considers as his achievements. busted got to do all those things cos they were steered in the right direction through clever marketing and help writing songs so they produced a certain sound...at least even if fightstar play small venues and clubs and have a relatively small fanbase he can say they got all that cos of music he made (not music he was manufactured to make)

Maybe they got some help with marketing, but all the songwriting was by them, tom fletcher and some few other guys once in a while. They didn't just get fans because of their music, but also because of their great voices and performances.
And i still think he wouldn't be where he is today if it wasn't for busted. Many fightstar fans is originally busted fans.

@3450supersild However I also think Chaz was a bit overly defensive towards the beginnings of Fightstar in an attempt to shed himself of what would be a stigma in the rock scene. Hence the slight coldness towards the Busted era and an EP title like "They Liked You Better When You Were Dead". Now that Fightstar is recognized as a really brilliant rock piece he's comfortable enough to release slightly poppier tracks like Mercury Summer, Never Change and Give Me the Sky :) lol sorry for the essay

@3450supersild Charlie doesn't think Busted were "rubbish", if he did he NEVER would have been a part of that. In fact he's mentioned elsewhere he's rather proud of what he did with Busted from a pop perspective. He's grateful for the time he had with them but realized when it was time for him to move on. It would have been unhealthy for him, James and Matt to stay with Busted and be miserable, when they could all move on and be happy with solo careers.

they DEFINITELY got help with marketing....and i know they wrote all their songs but they were asked by their label to write a certain type of album - who knows what they wrote that got rejected ?
busted were a boyband. im sure people who liked them liked their music, but good looks played a big part of the appeal as well.
their used to be many fightstar fans who were busted fans but i think youll find if you go to gigs now that its not really the case anymore (90% are guys lol)

HAHAHA, the situation would've been the same! he met the rest of fightstar through his girlfriend - so the band would have formed anyway.
and seeing as from the beginning of fightstar they deliberately tried to stay out of the spotlight, he wanted to have success as fightstar, not 'that guy who was in busted's new band'.

I prefer Busted over Fightstar, but still like Fightstar and good on him for doing what he wants to..But should have done it in the first place. But he still legend.

okay... well he joined busted after seeing an ad in NME magazine, so he obviously didn't think he would be making such shit. and the whole busted thing was obviously a joke for him, as he was late for wembly as he was recording fightstar songs. so after he realised he REALLY hated it, he left.
anyway, get over it :)

Charlie seems really ashamed of being in Busted. But he was obviously just using busted to get famous. If he had just changed taste in music then fine, but you can tell Charlie never liked being in Busted in the first place, yet he was two faced and pretended to like them for money and fame until a better offer came along.

Fightstar is a good band. Busted was also really good. And I think that if Charlie wasn't happy in Busted it wasn't fair for him to stay in it and he should of joined Fightstar. But I hate the way Charlie acts as if he is ashamed of his Busted heritage and that he is superior to that kind of music or whatever. He needs to grow up.

Ok, seriously? I like(d) Busted, I like Fightstar. There's nothing wrong with that. But to come onto a Fightstar video whinging about what an asshole Charlie is for breaking up your precious popband is ridiculous. James and Matt are happy with their new projects too. Would you rather Charlie have stuck around being miserable, playing shows without his heart in it? Its ok to be sad and miss Busted, but dont be dicks and focus senseless hate on Charlie. Fightstar is actually one of the best bands out there. I don't really no how i found out about him seeing how the band is not very known in North America but they're freaking good. There album Be Human is one of the best albums i listened to.

im a really big fan of busted! but i love fightstar! and i think it was a good thing busted ended because they wrote great songs but i dont think they could have got that much more out! so now charlie started a new band that he likes WHATS WRONG W/ THAT and there FUCKING GREAT!!!!!!! i do miss busted but there time was over and we got 2 more great bands out of it son of dork FIGHTSTAR!
