  • It may still be under the 3 year 36,000 warranty. If I remember right, the dealer looked at the antenna in the rear bumper because I had to be almost right next to the car for the key fob to work. Also they replaced the wireless ignition module behind the glove box so I was told. Either way, after the third visit to the dealer, this took care of the problem. Good luck. I will never buy Nissan again as it's been to the dealership at least a dozen times for repairs, all under warranty though.

  • well i have a 2009 versa sl and it is doing the same problem i have change the battery and it is still doing the same thing. then at time the ignition works but the won,t work on the doors. only had it for 2 years you think it is still under warrent

    thank you

  • Does this work on M35 2007?

  • I just had the same problem with my 2007 Altima. I changed the batteries and still had issues. I brought it to the dealer and it was a micro switch problem behind the pedal. The cost of it was $56 bucks plus labour which came out to $92 bucks.

  • @GorillaMan501 I don't see why you had to pay since it should be under warranty.

  • I had the same problem in my Armada. But got solved after replacing the battery.

  • Is it a new vehicle? Mine is doing this right now, but I'm fairly certain that it is because the battery is dying in the key. I just took it out of the casing and put the key in the ignition to get it to work. I never had this problem until recently (owned my car almost 3 years) and I haven't changed the battery since I've owned it, so it makes sense that, that is the problem.
