  • I concur with davidscalling. Happy and sad lithium generation X precursors born in the era of the emerging hippy generation peace and love movement. Mike Scott is on the same level if not on a superior spiritual creative journey through his work as any of the main stream popularized rock stars of our era. His melodic sounds are a blessing and his lyrics seem straight out of what seems to be a very close relationship with God.

  • One of the best things to come out of the 80's!! Mike Scott is a poet.

  • I have sold countless amounts of stereo systems, over a 7 year period thanks to this song. Still dont understand it but customers see to dig it.

  • Thank you. Nice touch from miles away.

  • Another reason to believe Mike Scott is the God of Music...

  • i saw brigadoon

  • I lost my daughter through mariage breakdown - we would always finish our converations that we loved each other from the moon to the ground, I can't hear this song without completely breaking down.

  • @daisyduke581 I´m sure she will allways loves you, no matter what.

     Big hug to tyou.

  • @daisyduke581 ... Your comment is so moving. Don't lose hope. Life is long and the possibility of reconciliation is always there.

  • @daisyduke581 A friend of mind introduced me to this song and it brings me to tears every time and I have no idea why. It's an amazing song.

  • god I love this song, its been a long time.....

Hello smutty boy, remember driving to Queensland in the back of the laser.....

  • Quando à música é boa, ela nunca envelhece, fica sempre em evidência, e é o caso desta canção, ela é eterna, ela é muito linda!

    Abraços à todos!

  • lovely song

  • can't better this 4 a great all timer

  • damn! took a wrong turn - paused at 0:26

  • You really need to hear this song at volume on a really good quality sound system. Only then do you catch its full exuberance. A great eulogy.

  • How old are you sonny?......You've never been in love have you??..one day..if you do...and you hear this song again....it'll all be too clear........

  • I think it's hard to relate to a song if you don't understand it's background, what sounds like jibberish to you might have significance to someone else. 80's music was perplexing because it was both happy and sad at the same time, both light and dark, shallow & deep, where as music today is more or less strait forward lyics that ryme and are mainly about simple sex or getting booty. So it's easy for older stuff like this to go over peoples heads today.

  • Well said, although I disagree that the lyrics are gibberish. Also, if you want a REAL love song, listen to Rhianna Boss "Touch me on my Pecker"...you will weep for hours!!!

  • its not not about being in love its about a freind he had who died of an drug overdose

  • Tune blew me away in a Warehouse in london 88-89!!song puts ya in ecstasy :)

  • Excellent post!

  • Nice posting. Well done.
