You mention "was", did you get rid of it? I used to have a 2.5 back in 83 which I wrecked and have always wanted to get another. I just purchased an 86 which is being shipped from Colorado and am planning to get crazy making it fast. Did you do anything other than the exhaust to your car?
@mycamp247 The car in this video is long gone. No need to get crazy, the Alfa is fast out of the box. Yes, other modifications were made to the car other than exhaust - but not to the engine. Which car did you buy in Colorado?
Did the exhaust give you more power? Is that all you did to it. I read the notes and someone mentioned that you had some problems with your car, what kind of issues have you had with your GTG6?
@mycamp247 What notes? What problems? My car was fine, and in fact was a particularly strong runner - so I have no idea what you are talking about.
No noticeable power increase from exhaust modifications. You're not going to find any power worth bragging about from exhaust modifications on a stock car.
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so Also keeps carbs/injection and tank clean and rustfree!
The exhaust consisted of not too much - stock manifolds, euro down (front) pipes, and a single little resonator with a pipe exiting at the side of the car under the door.
more savage sounding than any Dino i ever heard.

Amazing sound, can't wait to get my 86. Is that a 2.5 or a 3.0?
mycamp247 7 months ago
@mycamp247 It is a 2.5. Don't expect yours to sound like it, though.

I hope you got all the issues sorted from the previous owner. I read about it. I also hope to see/hear your 164 in action.

Is this exhaust one that has just a small resonator and headers from the heads?
i mean this thing sounds rerally swee,
I was gonna get a GT-4 ferrari but forget it,
this is much more fun and less costly for parts too,

this exhaust in this 6 sounds almost like a 4 litre 12 in a Miura,
raspy, aggreesive,
And totally Italian,
Much more livable than any Ferrari or Maser,
Id have God willing a GTV-6, and a 70 Miura S,
maybe throw a Espada in for good measure

the sound of this exhaust makes a Dino 246 look sick,
more car more fun to drive and more practical than really any ferrari,
