@pancakewafflebacon i had a car with the olds 307 , and the oil pressure would dip just enough to bring the low oil pressure light on at hot engine/low idle ie stop light etc...it was brighter when i had more accessories on...my mechanic at the time said "i can either take the bulb out, put a piece of tape on it, or charge and arm and a leg to fix the problem. i'd leave it, its fine" so i did and for the next 60 000kms that i had the car, me and the oil light became good friends.

Just by the sound and the consistency of the flames, I would say the way this one achieves flamethrowers is by having a momentary kill-switch for the ignition, with an igniter in the exhaust tips. I would have to see to be sure, but the way the system works is this:

1. Driver revs engine to get enough fuel going through the carb for flames.

2. Driver pushes button, shutting off the ignition coil (dumps raw fuel through the engine)

3. Raw fuel is ignited by a spark plug in the exhaust.

I think you can get this "flaming exhaust" effect from having modified cams with higher lob lift that will basically increase the gasoline and oxygen mix and give you this effect. Can't say how good that is on your exhaust and valves though but I don't exactly specialize in engines. : )

Yes, well to a certain degree. You can do this same trick with any cabourated vehicle. Why is that? because in the exhaust of old vehicles before fuel injection and oxygen sensors there was unburned gas in the exhaust. Basically all you need to do this is some spark plugs mounted in your pipes. an ignition source and switch to turn them on and whamo. Don't tell your parents I told you.

I like it when people actually do it the true way that is gas thats unburned exiting the cylinders and igniting instead of just shooting in gas from a tank and lighting it you can tell the difference real easily. Those flames shot out like a blowtorch thats real and he had to gas it that way. its fake when the flames just come out slowly like a puddle of gas burning.
