First of all...I think he has an amazing voice.

Secondly, he didn't choose to sing Mariah and how well could most people do if they had to take an amazing song and piece together a 1:20 version of it.

I think he did a tremendous job. His vocal range is stellar, his control of his runs is fantastic. The kid is simply blessed with amazing talent. He brings positivity to a world full of hate and negative communication. GO DAVID...May God continue to bless you and your family.

Goodness gracious! Are you serious?!!! He did not overdo it at all!!! Have you heard the original version? If you notice, there are two people singing plus background vocals. If you paid attention to the original version, you will notice that Mariah and Whitney (two people) did their parts but went back and did add-ons over the song which you can do in studio. Now here is Archie alone and he had to do all that alone. Does he sing the melody or does he do the add-libs? He did a phenomenal job!

He has a good voice but all the hype aside, he is just a kid with a good voice. He brought nothing new to the song. He lacks the style, personality, creativity and originality of David Cook. When was the last time he tried those high notes? That was new and something he hadn't done before. David has tried to change the way he's done things but the judges said he should stay true to himself. He went back to doing what he's best at and the judges have had great reviews since. He has his specific style just like David Cook's style is an alternative/rock/blues style. They need to stay true to their abilities while improving at the same time and David A's doing just that.

That's a good point. It is good to stay true to yourself because when you jump all over the place trying to please EVERYONE, you can really mess yourself up. Just like Simon told Archie to cheer it up a bit and then he did 'Your the Voice' and Simon hated it and said he sounded like someone at theme park singing with characters. So it's good to maybe try to take some risks but be true to your own vibe.

He didn't listen to Mariah first off. ALSO, he showed no emotion. Don't get me wrong, he has great vocals, but it is dead from there. He also didn't sing a "Mariah" song this week. That's the Whitney part from their duet. So, it is obviously a lower key because Whitney has a stronger lower register.

AND he is pretty boring. So are a few others. But, he takes no risks when performing.

Compare David A's louder notes to David C's louder notes. David A's got his vibrato still there and it sounds great but David C's louder notes are just that... loud notes. Not still pleasing to my ears. David C is the best performer but I still stand that David A's got the best vocals. So, it may come down to David vs David and I'd be happy with either one. But I get more wowed by vocals than performance. It's just my preference.

You obviously don't know talent. David A sang "When You Believe" really well, but David C changed the genre of the song and vocalized "Always Be My Baby" perfectly. He didn't sing it like Mariah which the judges like.

Actually David Cook is talented as well and he's a good guy. Archie is definitely my favorite and I was devastated for a week when he didn't win but Cook is a cool guy and he's talented. At least he shows Archie a lot of respect. We can be happy about that. He cares about Archie.

Yeah.. they really like eachother and it really shows when they're around eachother. But I was SOO impressed with how well Archie handled the loss. Truly a class act. And David Cook doesn't seem to be letting it get to his head either. They're both idols in their own way but one of them had to walk away with the "title".
