I looked all over the internet and all I could find was some BS youtube version of Eric Clapton... Or some my space or I Tunes of the song Before you accuse me. I heard this song tonight and thought of some females and had to post it on face book. Even though it's not Eric Clapton they rocked it out harder than any video or song I have heard yet so gonrats gentelmen! I posted your video on my facebook well deserved men!
Very Elmore James/ Little Walter influenced version - but very good for all that. I prefer your version to Clapton's, who wouldn't?. Yeah, I know Bo Diddley wrote this - I've had his record for 41 years!
i hope you know more than me my friend and i would like to know what key hugh is playing in. i cant get the sound on my c harp. peace to you my brother.
this guys are really great! they have taste, they have feelin of blues and they are standing on the roots of greatest music. harmonica player is very cool.i like the way he plays-good style.so this is an example how we, the new generation bluesmen must play a blues.blues deserves special treat so not evreone of us has a ability to play it. blues is an feeling, and if ya don'i have no feeli'n ya can't play it!!!
Thanks Lizzy. Ben's using thumbstyle(Piedmont blues) and the fact that the soundman, a recording engineer, was using state-of-the-art(as of 1995) equipment explains some of the fullness of the sound. He loved mixing the Riders 'cause we always listened closely to each other and were sensitive to the need to vary balances of different songs and different section of songs, ourselves; the "old fashioned" way, not reliant on monitors.
I know that Clapton wrote it. I was just saying people throw famouse names in there just so their music pops up when people search. I know Clapton wrote it though. I hate when people do that but this is such a great song and band playing it I'm happy I found it.

Look closley at his middle finger, he is using one. Very well I might add!
bunkman64 4 years ago
Using it as a slidin' effect ???
LizzyDouglas 4 years ago
The slide is made of glass(gets the bottleneck sound). Because it's transparent, it's not easy to detect.

JohnnyF123123 5 years ago
Clapton didn't write it. He only helped popularize it. Bo Diddley (aka Ellas McDaniels) originally wrote and performed the song.
flyingfish555 5 years ago
This is funny because Eric Clapton says that Bo Diddley (AKA Ellas Bates, AKA Ella McDaniel) wrote the song. Check eric-clapton dot co dot uk
