It's those eerie backing vocals,that give this track it's unique atmosphere. I liked it right away in '67,and duly bought it. Still don't know ,what the title means though. Might have been a take on 'Night Of The Long Knives",which refers generally, to acts of vengeance.

too bad this song didn't make the US charts. Our listeners didn't know what they were missing but if radio won't play it, then we're often screwed.
