  • Love my Rhonda!

  • 5 * Thank you for sharing . I have been watching Almost Human on the BBC i player sadly you can not view outside the UK .There is a ghost of a young lady living in the house with ,a few other fictional characters. I will try and rip it and do you a short vid . I am not familiar with Robert Green , however lots of other writers certainly have their opinion on ghosts and continue to voice this through the media & tv . So I will have to look him up 2 when I get the time.L x

  • Heck... ghosts don't sound any worse than some of the people we have in the world. 8-O

  • I love your reading, Rhonda! ((((((Rhonda))))))a big hug to you

  • StopEvangelismNow, Oh big ((((hug))) back my sweet friend!!

  • Great Reading Rhonda ..I'm gonna get another beer and listen again : )

    Rocket

  • Thanks Rocket. I miss that Canadian beer.

  • I worked in a place that depended on belief in ghosts, or at least acceptance of the possibility, for it's fortunes. The Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, CA, where I was a tour guide for two years, was built by Sarah Winchester, in direct response to the ghosts she believed were persecuting her. Her husband had been president of the Winchester Firearms Company, and their weapons had created many ghosts, Sarah believed. Many think that her ghost still inhabits the house.

    What was that?!!!

  • Largo64, Very interesting. I remember you talked about this and I forgot to ask you if you had ever seen or heard anything there on the job?

  • I can believe in ghosts, because it renforces my view of humans not having a spiritual soul. It shows that we harbor a life-force, that bears our identity, that tend to remember the life we lived, or events that caused our deaths. That would stand against the ridiculous idea that we have a "soul", that will be judged by some omnipotent "god".

Ghosts are but a lingering energy, that has not yet been exhausted.

    Maybe... ;)

*hugs* to you & Dave, my sweetie!

  • ShortbusMooner, I can see what you're saying...sort of like an echo. Big hugs back to you too my friend!

  • I like the emphasis you put on the reading. It gave it the feeling it was meant to have. :)

  • Thanks Clicb4! :)

  • TheGiggler1, It has always been one of my favorite quotes from Ingersoll. It was a quote he mentioned farther on in that work.

  • My single neighbor thinks he has a she-ghost in his house that wakes him up while looking for her long dead husband; she presses down on his bed at night, or so he says.

Rather than agree with him, I am just as inclined to believe that he has 150 pound bed bugs.

  • InReasonWeTrust, Sounds like your neighbor might need to go shopping for a firm mattress! hahaha

  • Thanks Rhonda:)))

  • sistermoonshine, Thank you! :)

  • Hello, friend. You have inspired me to check out Ingersoll. I have some Barnes and Noble gift cards left over from Christmas to spend. Any recommendations?

  • CadicusTheDamned, You could go to infidels (dot) org and read his writings for free. I printed them all out years ago and have a thick pile in a folder. Some Mistakes of Moses is a great one to start with! I know you'll like that one. ;)

  • Religion is a understandable thing to cling too in the absence of reason.

To each I suggest, as a bartender might: Choose your poison. I choose reality.

  • bowlingballout, That was well said!

I used to be a bartender and never thought of saying that..darn!

  • Hi Moomay! Thanks! :)

  • Very enlightening! This sounds more Real and believable than what the bible and every other holy book has to offer. Good reading Rhonda!

  • cain825, I agree! Thank you! :)

  • Hi Rhonda, another nice reading.I hope many will view it and begin to think for themselves! How nice that would be. ;)

    Larry

  • Hi Larry! You're certainly right about that. How nice it would be! ;)

  • sparklingcolors, Bunk is right and that's a very good point!

  • Electricblue707, They do suck! Making everyone do all those things just to get a favor, when the ghosts should have been nice to them in the first place. Thank you!

  • I was going to mention Grieg, too, but Javier beat me to it. Nice selection and nice reading Rhonda! Ingersoll is ever interesting. I'm sorry I didn't get to episode eleven of The Gods today, but I'll try to do it tomorrow. I did something else this morning, which I'm not satisfied with and will do again. (Shakespeare - but don't tell anyone!) Best to you and David!

  • Hi Larry, I'm looking forward to 11 and always the best to you my friend! :)

  • Ghosts-Ingersoll/Peer Gynt-Grieg: great combination!

  • Hi Javier! Thank you. :)

  • Good choice of reading... love the trippy background music too... :p --5*

  • Thanks David :)
