  • she swallowed a flamthrower?

  • I just watched this movie last night. Pretty good but rather cheesey, though!

  • 1:49 Would of been awesome if it set her butt on fire!

  • I was gonna note the Brady Bunch set, but you already beat me to it.

  • Wow that was dumb (with creepy music);

no wonder I'd forgotten all about it!

  • if they only eat raw meat why do they cook it before they eat?

  • this kind of movies are creepy and bloody like damnation alley when the roacheswere eating the black man was like gross XD

  • thank u so much. I understand now....u are just passionate about couponing....lol .. I am almost there....lol

  • she was by the sink why she jus didn't run the water over her head.

  • Hold the F*ck on she don't feel that?!

  • She was concentrating way too hard on that recipe.

  • that music that went with the BUGS made me go crazy mad, if I saw this movie if I lived in the 70's I would have walked out the theater because shit noises like that make my head spin (and not in a good way)

  • those types of bugs fuckin' scare me, I live near conservation and they sometimes come into my room, they fly now, scare the shit out of me.

  • I was little when I saw this movie... I remember not sleeping for a couple of nights

  • STOP DROP AND ROLL BITCH!

  • I guess dinner got cancelled........

  • I`m surprised nobody`s mentioned that she`s thinking of preparing somethiing called `chicken mousse`. UGH. The `70s were a nadir era for music, dance, fashion...and cuisine.

    3:29 - BOOM! Awesome.

  • Here's the story, of a lovely lady, whose hair was set on fire by a bug.

  • @robbeck67 -Then one day she met her husband's pests who crawled up through the rug.

  • She belongs in the kitchen

  • your on fire beeeoitch!!!!!

  • THE BRADY BUNCH HOUSE! She lives in the brady bunch house!!!!!!!that monster!!!!!

  • dont you just love cockroaches i know i do :-)

  • They used so much hair spray in the 70's..... plus all the booze and coke.... thermite roaches were the least of the worries.

  • hmmm my head is on fire. should i dunk it in one of the TWO kitchen sinks next to me or roll around on the flammable polyester couch cushions?

  • I was so hoping it would of set her butt on fire ) = ^ ]

  • Mom always said, don't soak the living room in kerosene and then roll around the house with flaming hair.

  • They were Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches on Fear Factor.

  • Did anyone else notice that she was in the kitchen IN FRONT OF A SINK! You know, that thing with a metal tube sticking out of it filled with water accessed by turning a knob. She could've just dunked herself under some running water. And what is that behind her? ANOTHER SINK!

I tell you, if that person was not acting, I'd say they deserved to die for sheer stupidity.

  • LOL. I remember when this movie first came out. It was wild. So many killer animal movies in the 70's: Jaws, Orca, Frogs, Tentacles, Food of the Gods, Ben, Willard, Empire of the Ants, Day of the Animals, Piranha, The Swarm. Killer animal mayhem!!! LMAO.

  • You named 2 of my all-time favorite movies: "Frogs" with Sam Elliot, and "Empire of the Ants" with Joan Collins.

Other top favorite movies of mine from this genre are "Squirm!" (killer worms), "Rattlers" (killer rattlesnakes) and "Prophecy" (killer man-bear creature).

  • @FormerTVAddict Thanks for mentioning Rattlers. That's been one of my favorites for 20 years! Joel & the Cinematic Titanic cast are currently 'riffing' that on their live tour. Hopefully; their version will eventually see a DVD release. I also saw the MST3K gang do Squirm! in one of their later seasons.

  • @luvindogadis411 I agree! In my opinion, "mother nature REALLY went amok or mad" during the '70s, didn't she? Who could forget Kingdom of The Spiders, Squirm, and Grizzly?

  • @AngelofAnguish The 70's was animal attack insanity!!! LOL!!! I also like the "giant animal" attack films from the 50's like "Them", "The Deadly Mantis", "The Giant Claw", "It Came From Beneath The Sea" and "The Giant Gila Monster". Those were something too.

  • Here's the story, of a lovely lady, who was only trying to make a lovely dinner,

When in her kitchen, a nasty critter,

Got in her hair and burned it up,

The buggy bunch, the buggy bunch,

Now she will not have any lunch... :)

Just kidding around, cool scene. She is lucky though, when I pick things up at my house, it isn't fire starting beetles, it tends to be brown recluse spiders. eeekkk!

  • Wow, I never knew a bug could set someone on fire. lol.

  • If you look closely, the stunt person is actually a man. lol

  • Micheal Jackson!

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't that the Brady Bunch kitchen??

  • BUG was produced at Paramount Studios, same as Brady Bunch. Bingo!

  • MILF wuz Smokin'!

  • The bugs are real. If i'm not mistaken, I think they are called Mexican Hissing Beatles. They used them a few times on the show Fear Factor.

  • Oh yeah, the Mexican Hissing Beatles - they rock.

  • The bugs are real.....if I'm not mistaken, I think that they are called Mexican Hissing Beatles. They used these bugs a few times on the show Fear Factor.

  • are the bugs used in this movie real?

  • that lady is such a "hothead"

  • That was the fastest spreading fire in the history of all mankind.

  • Has anyone ever read the book that inspired this movie? it's called The Hephaestus Plague

  • that was so disturbing

  • only to be surpassed by the amityville Horror 3D, where that woman burns to death in her car. I hate fire.

  • Notice this is the old Brady Bunch set that has been changed to disguise it?

  • ive never watched this show, why is the staircase infamous?

  • yup--that is ONE of the movies I was trying to remember from my childhood that freaked me out. I remembered some woman had a bug crawl up the back of her neck and catch her on fire. Thanks or posting!

  • The USA Network used to use this scene as a bumper for it's "Saturday Nightmares" show.

I remember the narrator saying "Don't let the commercials "BUG" you. We'll be right back" LOL!

Nice post! I love these cheesy classics!

  • oh yeah thats some realy horrific scene of this movie
