the reason that the argentines complain to much or plays dirty is that if they play fair they wouldn't have won 78 and 86 world cup in fact they wouldn't be abl to get out of the group stage. Germany however they play fair that's why the Germans are elite.
Lehmann cheated in this shootout. He and the goalie coach made a note of the argentine penalty takers and put down which way they normally kick on a penalty shot. He kept it in his socks during the game and thats why he guessed the right direction of the penalty shot every time. u can clearly see him put the note back in his sock at 5:05 because he forgot which way cambiasso went on penalties (however, cambiasso in fact wasn't on the note but still guessed it right)
@pompyromage ok, there isnt anything like that in the rules so ill take back saying cheating, but its very disrespectful and controversial on the worlds biggest stage of the game. its like bringing in a cheat note into a big test. he could have studied it before the game, but it was ruthless to bring it out in a shootout between two teams with an intense rivalry. lehmann left the field right after the game so he wouldnt be called out by any of the argentinian players during the fight after.
German goalkeeper Jens Lehmann wore a sky blue shirt during the penalty shoot-outs. An advertisement placed directly behind the goal had white characters on sky blue background, and three people standing behind it were also dressed in sky blue and white shirts. Argentine fans claim that this was intentionally made to distract Argentine players at the penalty kicks
As a 19 year old guy...... and only been alive through 5 World Cups. By far, Germany 2006 was the best World Cup. South Africa 2010 was good, but not as amazing as 2006. Hopefully Brazil 2014 turns out great. But nothing can beat Germany 2006 :)
@JasonLA92 Agree! Germany always play great when they play in World Cup or Euro's. I got a good feeling they will win it all next year and in Brazil 2014.

@InterMi1an1908 that's not cheating, that's good match preparation. There is nothing against that in any rules of football.
