I love my George Foreman Grill! Clean up is a snap if it's done when hot, just like the guy in the vid says. Sometimes I run a thin layer of virgin olive oil over the top of my meat and season it...then pop it on the grill. I love how the excess fat just drips away. I've never had a problem with knocking the drip pan as it is under the lip of the grill but my grill is slightly different than the one shown in the video. Thanks for the vid..it's very helpful for those who are new.

foreman grills are great but if you don't do exactly what he says about cleaning it while it's still hot it's a pain in the ass unless you have a model with removeable plates.
Great cookware to begin with when thay are New but over time thay get all gunky and look shity no longevity in them ill stick too my old fashioned cast iron skillets and griddles cant be beaten man lol...like you say careful never to scratch it all else its will damage the surface cast iron can be re-seasoned bac to new again......
I've never had a need to use any oil or cooking spray on it at all. it's non-stick surface does an excellent job (as long as you're careful never to scratch it!). *IF* you have a problem with something sticking, I'd suggest a shot of non-stick cooking spray.
I think this is the same model that I have. They had it at Wal-Mart for 24 dollars, which was really odd considering a similar model was twice as much.
That's odd I'll admit. Maybe WallyWorld was doing their clearance thing or something. Back when my wife was wishing we had one of these the Grand Champ model was selling for around $60 or so.
I watched the rest of the video and we never thought to use a wet sponge while the surface was hot for clean up. We always allowed it to cool and then had to scrape all the nastiness off of it.
Is this the only model you have? I was thinking about getting the one with the removable plates so I can just put them in the dish washer when I'm done.
We've had a couple of george foreman grills in the past and cleanup was always the biggest problem.
Thank you for the clean up tip. Was having hell with my last grill.

The sponge method would be far easier.

I guarantee it. The thought of trying to clean that thing cold... in a word, "ugh".. no thanks. Hot grill and a wet sponge works miracles
