Jane's voice reminds me of Winona Ryder's voice in Girl, Interrupted when she was singing "Downtown." I wonder if she looked to Jane for inspiration...Jane was incredible. I love her to death. she's so cute and talented and too many people look over her to Belinda. Not fair. but what can you do? at least WE know who's the better of the two. :)
I love this song. I haven,t heard it in years. Jane has such a sweet voice. It is so unique. She has so much talent. She should have shared the vocal work with Belinda!!! Both their voices are awe inspiring. Best voices in the 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This girl wrote most of the songs for the Go Go's AND played lead guitar and still Belinda Carlisle is more famous. The world does'nt appreciate its artists. So unfair.
@Timmybear Some rhythm guitars are more than just rhythm. Pete townshend for instance. Okay, maybe JW was not THAT good, but she really was about half of the go-gos.
I would say Belinda has the better voice. Jane sounds like Cyndi Lauper when she sings in her little girl voice. I love Jane, but she doesn't have the versatility Cyndi Lauper has with her voice.
WOW! I forgot about this one!! I loved Rush Hour, it was the epitome of a catchy, simple, perfectly arranged melodic pop song. Brilliant! Thanks for posting!
I have loved Jane Wiedlin since I first saw her in 1981 and still do! She was the genius behind the go-go's! When she left that band first to go solo, I was happy. I loved her debut solo album!!! Blue Kiss was such a sweet moving song that came to me at a changing time in my life. Although her many albums and solo career has not been as successful as it could be, her work is still wonderful. I met her in 1996 with her then punk band Frosted and she is so cute and still has one of the best voices
If it helps, I would listen to a radio station called Super Q in 1986; anyone else in San Antonio, Texas remember this station? I'm working on a graphic novel where one of the characters is wrapped up in the 80's
When i was cruisin the visayan sea, I've seen the most beautiful sunset of my life, seeing dolphins diving, and with my walkman playing the beautiful rhythm of BLUE KISS, makes me this my most favorite music of the 80's. I still really love this music today.
whoaw...bring back memories!..me n my girlfriends sneaking inside boys locker room and watching them shower!..lol..jk..ok..i'm not..heyy, they let us!

she looks like Elizabeth Taylor. it's such a cute song growing up we'd listen to her on the radio. remembering childhood days.

She didn't write most of the songs or play lead. Charlotte Caffney did. Jane is very talented but get your facts straight.
