The argument that the Draft produces a lower quality, less effective soldier than that of a volunteer, stands to reason then why they will reinstate it. At this time of de-industrialisation of the West, no jobs ,no economy, no prospects of recovery, it 's just what they want and need (in their view)...... A whole lot more Dead poor people ......cannon-fodder...
Here are my strategies to avoid drafts, break legs, fake poor vision, fake being quaker, pacifist, w/e; and last resort: kill everyone on my draft base if they persist
Hell this is true. I tried to joined the ARMY when I turned 27 but was disqualified due to bad color vision. I didn't know anything about the selective service until I turned 29, got my GED and filled out the FAFSA were I found I did not qualified because I had failed to register. So now I dont qualify yet I work every day and pay taxes out of my check to support a group of people who force men into war against their own will should their be a need. That makes me sick.
Its bad enough that I dont qualify for goverment benefits but its even worse, that they are quick to take my money (yeah for that I qualify right?) but not quick to help us make our lives better. Some people can't even get their driver's license if they don't register.....fucking "A" being denied your DL for some registration you missed is a lot too loose....in some states you can't EVEN get a job if you dont register, I think they are going too far and this will just lead to a revolt.
When they were fighting againts the British, they were fighting againts a TYRANT!!. So it was LIBERTY that inspired them. It was LIBERTY THAT THEY ARE DEFENDING.
So if there is consription, there is no liberty to even begin with, to be even worth fighting for, for consription is a form of COERCION, and as desevering as TYRANNY for a seat in the halls of infamy!!!!
This Beautiful Country is build on FREEDOM AND LIBERTY. And thats was what inspired the Militia joining George Washington in the war against the British.
Consription is againts American value is what the founding fathers and the Continental Militia had worked so hard for. Even when they didnt have enough soldiers to fight the British, the made do of whatever patriotic FREE PEOPLE who joined the miltia and were paid by the Continental government.
people need to stop bieng bitches and just do what they need to do. they sacrefice a lot for some the more there is to back those men and women up the better whether u wanna be there or not. u do what u have to do.
At one point I was very willing to commit myself to the armed forces, thinking I had control over the decision. Since my brother was selectively chosen, though, to be part of a potential draft, thinking of this whole army business leaves a nauseating taste in my mouth.
Honestly, where I was once supportive now you find me an adamant opponent for the lack of choice.
For one, the economic aspect, its only logical to pay more for the more experienced soldiers. Better to pay a high wage for one that at cheap labor price for two inexperienced.
