  • My wife and I wandered into Crotty's looking for a bite to eat in May and loved it, just a great atmosphere, beautiful old wood paneling, good food. The stories that these old pubs could tell, the yarns spun over the decades - I can just imagine.

  • man I wish I was there....

  • better than I knew it wne de auld wan duiber lived there...

No one could have taught me to love the concertina more, not even Noel Hill!

    Go on ya good thing!!!!!!!

  • Searched for Crotty's, can't believe it found a video! Love that pub, was down for my second holiday in Clare and nearly live in there lol. Guitar + concertina, lovely stuff.

  • Was there a power failure or did they put the lights out in Crotty's Pub. Know it well. Great music anyhow!

  • It was on afternoon. There's enough light, but the camera was not very good.

  • It doesn't matter. The music is great. I think it's Tim Collins on the Concertina (a great Concertina Player.)

  • I could listen to that till end of time , unbelievable.

  • Wahey crottys!

  • Had lunch at Crotty's pub good food no music but did see newspaper clippings about Mrs. Crotty the queen of the concertina. Interesting.

  • Beautiful concertina playing, ornamentation is gorgeous

  • A Treasure!

  • Make sure you buy an anglo style (not english). The anglo makes different sounds in the opening & closing bellows; the english make the same sound. The anglo usually has a strip across the back of the hand, the english uses a leather ring for holding with your thumbs.

  • Why buy an Anglo-one instead of an English?

  • It helps with the rhythm for playing traditional Irish music.

  • hello, meanwhile i bought an English System concertina. It is my purpose to try and play the Irish repertoire on this little Wheatstone. So far everything goes well. I have plans to install some handstraps though to give more action.

    Dirk De Bleser

  • It's one or tuther of these:-

    38 key Bflat/F Jeffries (1927)

38 Key C/G Suttner with Ebony ends.

    My guess is the Sutner....

  • How many buttons are on that concertina? I'm thinking of getting one, message me?

  • Some man !

  • Tim Collins

  • Who is this guy ?

  • Really excellent playing - enjoyed listening a lot!

Shame about they don't have any lighting in Irish pubs though :)
