    astore(dot)amazon(dot)com/kindlediscount0d-20

  • Lol yea the amazon swindle XD

  • @Cprimex i dont think this is a swindle. i am really happy with the kindle, although it is the 3rd generation. so i think yu need to verify before commenting. thank you.

  • @sam062498

I dont know if u know it but amazon reserves rights to remove remotely any book you buy from amazon.. they already did it a couple of times with books that were controversial.

In addition, the government has acces to all the amazon buyers database so basically they know each frickin book you buy... its just another step to monitor the people

  • @Cprimex that is okay, its not like many people buy books they shouldnt. I'm not worried about the goverment monitering the books i buy, because i would tell anyone the books i buy. its not something to be ashamed of. i got my kindle, and it is great, so much better than huge books. i dont think you should say swindle until you get more facts. unless you are doing something that your ashamed of and will hurt you later in life on the kindle, what is there to be afraid of if the goverment then.?

  • @sam062498 Yea i agree i dont really bother that they know which books i buy, the thing is that its just another way to monitor and control what the population does, i personnally think censorship is a really bad thing as we live in america and we all believe in freedom of speech and act.

The device itself is great, but the fact that they keep some control on it is a shame. its like if you buy a car and they don't let you use it like you want to in your own backyard ( a huge backyard you'll say)

  • wow the lasts words of the review"these women are suffering" lol priceless!

  • those people talking on the text to speech recognition sound like the people off NPR radio haha

  • does it alphabatize you lirbrary?

  • someday u will b able 2 go 2 the library and check these out. they will soon get cheaper and more advanced and replace books

  • that text2speech feature would annoy the hell out of me after about 10 pages.

  • The text to speech is not so good.

  • Compared to other text-to-speech services, it really is. It has more natural voice inflections.

Also, I greatly prefer the male voice to the female one; for some reason the female one sounds a lot more modulated and, frankly, annoying.

  • I want this soooo badly!

  • Is there any way to turn the wireless off in this device?

  • Yes, most people actually use the Kindle 2 with wireless off to conserve battery. There is an option to turn off the wireless in the Menu.

  • The price is really up there, but sooner or later, the prices might come down a bit....

  • a useful device, if they ever make it affordable to common people, I might get one

  • What is the point of this thing? Also, the voice seemed like it wasn't pronouncing certain words right; like "Tanzania."

  • The idea is to replace books.

She hardly showed any of the useful features. Its basically a book thats connected to the web, so you can download books cheaper than buying them, then read them on this. It also supports mp3.

  • Wow..that thing is HUGE...

I thought it was at most a little bigger than an iphone or something like that..

  • NIce...

  • The reader 700 and 505 also both come with a free cover, plus they look and feel more like real books, because they have covers like actual books. for some reason you didn't show this in the video. Both of the readers are also weigh less and have a longer battery life, plus the 700 has a built in backlight.

  • I hear you. We mentioned all that in our detailed review on mobiletechreview web site.

  • You should probably mention that the kindle 2 costs $100 more than the reader 700, and $150 more than the reader 505.

  • but dont you read comics or something exciting or with pictures?

  • lol.

  • I have a Kindle 2 and I love it!

  • I want one now... is the use of the sprint radio free?

  • Yes, it's free.

  • @MobileTechReview

    Well, mostly.

Blogs cost $2 a month, which is because of delivery costs.

  • yea it comes with the initial purchase of 350

  • First comment yay! Thanks for the review!
