hey guys.. if you want to play online, use ArmA 1.14 and Tunngle (zero-configuration virtual private network). It's easier to use and more stable than hamachi. It has virtual rooms so it is easy to find others who play it. Cheers >:D

@XxTheChala2010xX The only thing that ArmA series won't probably ever reach is the budget for the development and the "cinematic" experience. But cinematics can only tie you down only for a few hours. For some strange reason, OFP/ArmA/ArmA 2 are permanent placeholders on my PC, while CoDs are up for three-four days then goes away for months if not years or until the next LAN party with the friends.

@LordAlwinTHC Yes & Yes, it's one of the most realistic games i've ever played, and i love it realistic, you can make your original missions easily, you can play whatever kind of soldier you want to, many missions that come with the game, and barely scripted campaign, so you choose how you complete your missions, also there are side missions (auxiliary missions) that alter the main missions, the more side missions you complete, the easier the main missions get. I recommend it, it's AWESOME.

I haven't played this game before but i do know on games the AI changes sometimes on different difficulties. so if you play easy the ai will be pathetic and as difficulty goes up the better the AI are and enemies communicate with each other. but as praelium said the AI seems much better in arma 2 because it is newer and the AI isnt scripted and set to certain pathways the npcs are free to roam and communicate with each other and flank you.

I've just got this game and I must say the light effects in-game are just awful! When you look up into the sky, it gets darker and when you suddenly look down to the ground it gets brighter, but that takes about 1,5 second :/ Other than that the game seems great, it lags a little bit (strange cuz my computer has quad core 2,4gb processor and 2 gb ram, geforce 8600 256mb etc). Anyone who knows how to fix these problems? should i patch the game or what??

Armed Assualt is only optimised with single core processors, so if you have a brand new quad core or dual core processor, it won't make a difference, in fact, it will make you game run worse than a 3.00 GHz Single core.
