  • 感動!!

  • Did you destroy a Leica I just to put a Lumix inside of it? FOOL!! Frankenstein is a beautiful guy near this camera.

  • WOW ! CoooooL idea, rEally nicely done ! and am gentle ! Respect.

  • Tidy Job.

At least it wasn't DigRev painting it pink and doing very badly at that.

The sensor from a X1 could be squeezed in there and a better lens.

But still it looks pretty fine like you have it now.

    10/10

  • The craftmanship is really top-notch, indeed! But why "destroying" a collectors item for it? I had choosen a FED or Zorky-copy instead of an original Leica-body.

  • YES PLEASE I'll have 2!!!!

  • Very good job! I would like to make myself one too.

  • You have saved yourself 6000euros.,my deeply compliments.

  • @helthuismartin nothing against you but how dare you compare that to a leica m9

  • nice work, very very nice

  • He could of just bought a CONTAX G2. Although I admire the exercise.

  • you have to admire the manual skill of this guy, even if yoi don't like what he's done.

  • Im thinking of doing something like this.

    However.

Sometimes I come here for a good jam.

    Solid sound.

  • A classic, destroyed only so that you can jam a point and shoot in there? It doesn't look good at all with the collapsible P&S lens.

  • Way to go, gutting a priceless antique body, only to put a useless, low-quality, piece-of-shit point&shoot in it. And to everyone who liked this, wow, you guys don't have a damned clue about cameras, do you? You're the kind of people who hang out online favoriting any old shit you see, as long as it's got a hot chick or some HDR. Fucking idiots, the lot of you.

  • @tinkernator I have started shooting 15 years ago when I was a teenager using a Pentax MX that was as old as I was. I did it the manual everything (except exposure) and film way, and now I shoot digital, thank god. I'm very critical of people's photos, don't like HDR, hate seeing stupid cliches and copied ideas make their way into Explore on flickr. And I still like what I see. Way to go being the all knowing photography god and dismissing everyone else as idiots.

  • 2 dislike, you mad bro?

  • cool ;] Ive started tha same process but failed, will probobly finish it someday

  • Why would you put a smaller sensor in that camera, when it was a 35mm full frame? (same as Leica M9 £5000).

  • @nichotom You are really, REALLY dumb.

  • @SuperHolybasil Go and measure a piece of film (both X,Y dimensions) then measure the CMOS sensor (again both X,Y dimensions), multiply both axis to get he resolution, then tell me your findings. Obviously you are really, REALLY intelligent, so this won't be a problem. Look forward to your reply.

  • @nichotom You haven't taken into account the additional electronics shoved in it, bringing the sensor more forward than the 35mm film would. If he had put a full frame sensor in it it would vignette like crazy.

  • @SuperHolybasil 35mm film = 35mm digital sensor. It already had 35mm film, thereofre 35mm digital sensor. He has effectively removed a 35mm sensor and replaced it with a tiny one. Who's really, REALLY, dumb?

  • @nichotom A 35mm sensor takes more space up than an APS-C or smaller. Like I said, if he used a full frame sensor he would get vignetting due to the short distance between the sensor and the rear element.

  • @SuperHolybasil You are not getting it. The original camera takes 35mm FILM which is EQUIVALENT to a 35mm DIGITAL sensor. He has REMOVED the ability to use 35mm FILM in favor of using a tiny DIGITAL sensor.

  • Increible!!

  • great job

  • 神様の手

  • Excellent

  • Thanks for sharing. Excellent work.

  • You are a most gifted gentleman.
