Yes, the game allows you to take the mission from liftoff to lunar landing and back to splashdown.

This is called Orbiter Space Flight Simulator, created by Dr. Martin Schwieger, Phd. It is a freeware program available from the Orbiter web site.

AMSO and NASSP are two different programs. AMSO allows the player to fly the missions with a limited number of control options and full autopilot for many of the more complex maneuvers. NASSP boasts a full control panel for the CSM and LM and requires a working knowledge of both.

The control tower and animations were written my Alain's friend, Luis. The tower is composed of transparent texture panels in place of a mesh which allows enhanced graphic detail.

you had all of the amso downloads, the 1.12, and the 1.15, thats the only way to get the ice and the starndard atlantis thrust texture right?

I was using the 1.11 which had no vapor or ice, so I used another addon to create the effect.

As a side note, Alain Capt has delayed release of his new version due to the untimley death of one of his co-programmers, LazyD, who wrote the autopilot routines.

In AMSO, the pre-launch control keys are "J" to retract the Tower arms and "K" to start the countdown and launch sequence.

This is not NASSP. It's Alain Capt's AMSO. This was made before the recent update, and the vapor was added separately, but is now included in the upgrade. The Tower animations are from the actual program.

Thanks, Deltawing777. The AMSO 2.0 will have a virtual cockpit for the CM and LM, but no actual working controls. AMSO and NASSP are cooperating on the new IMFD5.0 and IPC.

Thank you! I'm waiting until Alain Capt releases his AMSO version 2.00, probably due at the end of this year, which will contain enhanced graphics and other improvements. There is an Apollo 13 scenario included with the package.

Those moon hoax guys could pretty easily learn the math involved in getting to the moon if they wanted too. I wouldn't try to make them believe in the landing though, they are typically too stuborn and ignorant.

well, its definately been proved that apollo was launched many times, as witnessed by millions of people. the technology behind the launch is far more complex than simply pointing it in the right direction and letting physics do the rest...

The shuttle is not designed to travel farther that Earth's orbit, and rocket technology goes back to the ancient Chinese. you show only your ignorance, they stoped going to the moon because of budget cuts and funding if you look at recent pictures taken from the european satalight it shows the lunar landing sites. The shuttle was designed for research and I have to say they have a good track record they have lost 2 consider what that machine does. and unless you have a degree in astrophisics and can personal design and fly a space craft you should give more credit to those who do
