  • nice :D

  • is hang gliding faster or paragliding faster for travelling from one place to another place; both non mechanically powered? thank you.

  • Modern hang gliders can go over 100mph. Paragliders are the slowest aircraft in the world. 25mph is average. Search for "paraglider collapse" to see the real issue with paragliders

  • that is a really beautiful place! awesome vid man!

  • that other guy is look close

  • that is cool than bungee jumping

  • woow! i dream this flight!

  • Awesome air to air footage! Great vid. 5 stars.

  • holy monkey shit

  • heey man did you take a couple fat tokes b4 you took foo man lol

  • god that looks like a blast

  • Very entertaining video ! 5/5

  • i dont understand how u would stay up ! pm me back if u hav an answer plz!

  • Khroono-

I learned at 16, so I would say 17 is old enough. I had a hangglider before a car :-)

  • In the right conditions can you fly around for however long you want? Because this is the only one I seen like this, all others go straight down. Or if they stay up something is pulling them to give them thrust.

  • Pretty much. Ive had 6+ hour flights. You can fly windy ridges for hours, or use thermals in the mountains to go up like a hawk does, circling in the rising air

  • i flew for 10+hrs in maui....

check out my just did vid here...

  • i believe the record is like 11 hours for longest duration. heights of 15000 ft can be acheived

  • Record is over 20,000 feet, and during almost 40 hours.

  • Excellent!!!! Love the angle, the positioning and the music. What a rush of pure freedom.

  • super cool!!!

  • That other guy is flying WAY too close to you IMO, considering any crash at that height would be fatal, its not very smart.

  • very cool

  • We All know that!

  • I enjoyed watching that, thanks

  • thats some rad stuff . . . I thought sailing was hard core!! Thx for the sweet vid.

I'll see u from the waves below!

  • sry for the question but im interested in thiss.. is this hard to learn? can i learn to fly if im 17??

plz if u can answer thanks..

  • That shure looks like fun! When it comes to "flying like a bird", hang gliding looks like the ultamate. I took an intro lesson in a Cessna 152, but the experince wasnt very bird like. You have your hands full with working the engine, the radio, what taxiway and runway etc.

  • Que peligro volar tan juntos pegados a la ladera

  • Not if you are a good pilot :)

  • Boogey on your six!

  • hahahaha that was good

  • where is this? i thought at first it was makapuu, but it really doesn't look like it after a while.

  • Its La Jolla, California

  • I liked it very much, ThanX man

  • u know how ur feet r in that bag behind u how do u get ur ffet out of it 2 land 2 they just slip out?

  • You just lift your feet up, and the flap goes loose and you leave it between your legs for landing. Search for "Furious Angels Hang Gliding" on youtube to find the video which shows me landing.

  • i would luv 2 do this wut would be a good age 2 start?

  • Any age, as long as you weigh about 90 pounds or more. Young teenagers start this fine

  • nice vid , cheesy song.

  • Nice vid, thanks. :-)

Never too old to fly, well unless maybe a hundred or something. Check out skydog d0t ca, a long time friend Bob Grant runs the site (and he's pushing 70 and flies all the time...)

Also ladies, check out 3w's d0t karicastle d0t com - home of the three-time world record holder! :-)

  • only wish I was young again and had the bottle to do that.

  • I know guys who are over 60 years old who still hangglide. Its never too late. I cant imagine dying without ever having experienced this!

  • How long can you go for in optimal conditions without landing??

  • I had flights over 6 hours

  • That was great videomaking. i loved how you had edited it wher it really appeared to be a chasing. Good man . I loved the flight I'll see you up in the air in a few years:)

  • this is great :) thanks ,,,,,,,, I wonder what is that like to be so high ,,???scared of heights , but I think I WOULD TRY IT ,,, it looks so awesome ,,,,:)

  • That is a ridge soaring site. Thats not high at all. When flying in the mountains, we get up to 18,000 feet! Ask about hang gliding at the hanggliding dot org forums

  • wow! can a newbie do that?.. i really want to try that! Ill be returning to the states soon and would love to do that for my vacation!

  • No, a newbie cant do that solo. But you can take a tandem flight with an instructor. These are all advanced rated pilots flying at this site.

  • Wow...I wish there were sites in Manitoba like that....where you can ridge soar all day. I've got about a total of 25 hours flight time in...can't wait to do that someday!!! Very Nice!

  • We have good ridge soaring here in Invermere BC. The launch site is almost 3000' above the valley floor.

  • Very cool ! Is that Torrey Pines ? I've never been there.

  • Yes, that is Torrey Pines. La Jolla, CA.
