Just had a thought. AniMat should totally do something with KH like he did with Epic Mickey! That would b awesome! Kingdom Hearts (and Pokemon) is what got me in 2 video games in the first place bcuz, of course, I heard that Disney was featured in it. If u couldn't already tell by my username, I'm practically a hardcore Disney fan!
I have a personal fondness for 101 dalmations, it has no overused cliches, that I know of, the story is perfectly paced, and isn't afraid to go dark in certain points.
Its worst crime is being a tad bland, but that tells me their is no bullshit in the movie.
That hyena is my grandpa! He's also the chihuahua and the head dog at the pound as well as the professor that Tramp leads to argue with a police officer. But wait that hyena laugh was used in It's a Small World too? BOY! Grandpa what didn't you do?
With dog films, I have an idea. A movie that has a theme of over coming prejudice. The main characters would be three of the most dangerous dogs. The doberman, the rottweiler, and the pitbull.
With disney making these movies about dogs, like "Lady and the Tramp", "101 dalmatians", "Old Yeller", and "Beverly Hills Chihuahua", I think that they should make a movie about Rin Tin Tin, or Lassie.
Hey! When you were talking about 101 Dalmatians, you mentioned the live action remake and the sequel, but why didn't you make any mention of the TV series? You mentioned all the other Disney TV spin-offs, so why not that one too? Was it just not popular enough to be mentioned? Com on, I LOVE THAT SERIES!!!
I have to admit that Sword in the Stone is a weak film. But I enjoy it. It's quite possibly one of the funniest Disney films I've ever seen. There were more than a few scenes that had me laughing my butt off. :)
Is anyone pissed that Tick Tock got replaced with an octopus in Return to Neverland? 'Cause I was, a little. I mean come on? What would Disney or J. M. Barrie say?
And I think it's funny that the title's were in the background in Pinocchio, didn't see that. And whoow, so many years to make the sleeping beauty O_O 5 years of drawing, gosh!
As embarassing as it is to say it, but even I like 2 find that out. Everywhere I look it only sais it had a darker ending and that's it! No other details. But I also heard that the entire film itself was suppose to be more darker. I'm sorry that I didn't say what is that ending, but if anyone actually knows what is the darker ending of Peter Pan, please let me know and I'll add it as an annotation.
@ElectricDragon505 Many fans of the story complained because it didn't have the part of the ending where Peter Pan asks the audience if they believed in fairies, instead it just had Peter saying how much he loved Tinker Bell (after it was assumed he was dead by Capt. Hook, Smee, Wendy, her bros., and the Lost Boys).
@ElectricDragon505 Well, as you say in the annotiation Tink get poisoned. She gets poisoned in the actuall story (if I'm not wrong). But she comes to life like you said, but that's not really dark, I think. Maybe there was an even darker ending, who knows...?
What I like most about Lady and the Tramp are the characters and how well the voices matched them. Like Barbara Luddy was a wonderful Lady and Alan Reed was an irresistable Boris.
I'm watching all the videos to this great documentary. Mat, speaking as a HUGE Disney fan, you did an amazing job with this! :) Uncle Walt would be proud. :) And since we're on the part about Peter Pan, I've met Margaret Kerry, TWICE! :) She's really nice and said she is so thrilled with the attention Tink has received over the years. :)
Bill Peet (Walt's best storyman, bar none) did the story for both "101 Dalmatians" and "Sword and the Stone" ALL BY HIMSELF! An average Disney movie at the time had about 8 storymen.
The darker ending was that Captain Hook was eaten by Tick Tock but not before becoming a giant spider.

What was the darker ending? Peter sets on fire or the captain or just how did it happen to be planned

Peter Pan. I never knew that was Micheal Jackson favorite movie.
Lady and the Tramp. Wasn't that laugh in Elf as well, you know when he was testing the Jack in the boxes.
Sleeping Beauty. I think out of the first 3 princess films, this one's my favorite.
101 Dalmatians. I wonder who the guy was who counted all those spots.
Sword in the stone. That's one of my older bother's favorite Disney films.
