I was a kid when George showed up on the Ed Sulivan Show in the 60's with his wacky stand-up routine that had everyone rolling on the floor with laughter. I was lucky enough to attend some of his live shows over the years, and his ability to get the whole crowd roaring with laughter may well be unequaled by other stand-ups. In his later years he got political, economic, & socially truthful in a comedic way, he was so spot on it's shocking. George was the Greatest longest lasting of modern times.
This tribute to George Carlin, sung by Sarah McLachlan, made me cry. Any song played by Sarah McLachlan makes me cry. I wonder if anyone else got emotional when watching this video.
even though Sarah Mclachlan herself is a nonbeliever, I still find it ironic that you chose her most religious song in a tribute to one of the most vocal atheist entertainers in American History. Still, it is a nice song. Carlin probably would have slapped you though.
where did you get the picture at 1:05, I'd love to know so I can print it. It looks so rad, to me George is just sayin' I got my eye on you. Which of course was his philosophy when it came to the country and religion.

Loved the man--he could strut and make funny faces without being a clown.
Gotta admit I like the music, even if it sounds ironic.

The only star who's death actually mattered to the world, and all of those who wished to understand it.

I was very upset on the day he died, he's my biggest idol of all, and so is Ringo Starr.

I love you George Carlin. Your my man. I use to watch him on Shining Time Station, and Thomas the Tank Engine when I was really little. RIP my man.
