  • bullshit.

  • Black Magic. Kill it with fire!!

  • If only the poorly dubbed sound effects matched the gun.

  • i say entertaining but false video, that diehard battery DIED HARD!!!

  • i have this battery in my car :) , thanks dad hahaha

  • Epic music after the battery gets shot.

  • and to think that battery was only made with %10 chuck norris

  • @qbiinz Chuck Norris is a robot... these are one of the 10 batteries he runs on.

  • i put a hole in my die hard with my .416 barret after watchin this video guess what battery would not start my car after diehard you are abunch of lyers

  • @thuglife4204 I shot a hole through my diehard with a 30-60

    It worked

    for about 2 mins

  • @thuglife4204 WTF why would you do that?!

  • i put a hole in my die hard with my .416 barret after watchin this video guess what battery would not start my car after

  • Who cares for the battery? i bought mine at walmart equal store here in cold Norway and had it for 10 years.

  • Look where it hit, there's still good portions of the battery intact under each terminal, this isn't so hard to believe.

Btw, did anyone else notice how the bullet went in rifling and came out tumbling over itself? I thought that was kind cool 8-)

  • Well.. It doesn't die easy..

  • Metal connectors are still in tact in the top of the battery. Each cell might be isolated from the others. It's possible it's real, I still highly doubt it.

lol @ standard gun sound effect

  • I call bs

  • What is all the junk coming out? Where are the juices?

  • ok um , why would you shoot ur car battery in the first place?

  • No Fuckin WAy. For Real?

  • U GOTA B SHITTIN ME SON!!!!!!

  • mais uma babquics de algum americano imbecil... e a comtaminaçao no solo seus animais??

  • WTFFFF

  • Once I was driving to Wendy's with a battery that wasn't diehard. When a guy shot my battery with a sniper rifle I was so screwed.

  • This batery is great!

  • wow it's good for 007's car

  • 性能の良さは驚きましたが人の心には悪影響するので、物であれ動物で有れ人で有れ、命です。むやみやたらに壊さずに寿命が尽きるまで大切に使うべきです。

  • myth bustees

  • not true if a battry splits the acid inside leaks out there for no charge do not beleave it you all give the yanks a bad name

  • @madsuzukigt actually, battery is the term given to a series of cells. Therefore if certain cells were left intact with enough remain acid to form an action potential there is a chance it would still run.

  • @madsuzukigt That is an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery. It won't leak.

  • so if ur gonna do a bank job this might be the battery to have...

  • Its good to know next time im getting shot at my battery wont die.......

  • i hate when my battery gets shot.

  • @MrBladeCrash Yup....Its sad, because they think they know alot about guns after playing call of duty. People who actually know about guns would say the name (m95, m90, tac-50, M2 browning, NSV etc)...Would love to see "Cod" players in a real war haha.

  • LIES AND BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Diehard battery is an AGM battery. There is no freeflowing acid. It is all absorbed in a fiberglass mat that covers every lead cell so as long as some of the cells are still somewhat in tact it will still work. Oh and btw( In reply to Soph0nax )if a diehard is under the same owner and is within the free replacement period of 4 years then the warranty will be honored at Sears. If after 4 years but before 100 mos it is prorated as the warranty info on the receipt states.

  • Comment removed

  • FAAAAAKE

  • Music?

  • NO F**king WAY!!! I Want ONE! I Guess they arnt the standard lead batteries then Huh?

  • DieHard - your batteries may be good, but too bad Sears is out there ripping customers off and not honoring their warranties. I was ripped off to the tune of $75 last week (coming from a broke college student, that money was my gas money to go see my parents for the first time in a year) - because Sears can't honor a warranty.

I will NEVER use DieHard and Sears again! The product may be good, but the service and integrity is TERRIBLE!

  • Did anyone hear the car runnning out of battery at the end,

  • @Ozzgod09 lol it can get shot and still start a truck, but it cant power a camera...

  • How are batteries rated? Cold Cranking Amps. The truck starts more easily in the heat therefore less amperage is required therefore it's not that impressive. Do that in Winnipeg in January, now THAT would be impressive.

  • Did diehard just dump a bunch of toxic chemicals in the desert?

  • @lochdhu im afraid the cyber police are going to cover that up after the arrest you cause you dun goofed. So get out of town...

  • @lochdhu he should get a job with BP

  • @lochdhu we did drop nuclear weapons in that desert haven't we? lol

  • @lochdhu These are also called "starved electrolyte." Just like the Gel batteries, the AGM Battery will not leak acid if broken. Plus they had a mat under it that is visible.

  • This has to be fake. Look at the damn battery as it's being shot! It's practically in two pieces and the acid leaked out!

  • @nitrowrench79 its not fake my dad was part of the crew that filmed this.. it can still start a car

  • If you know how car batteries work; then you know this is no big deal.

  • i bet it couldnt handle my piss

  • that is bullshit!

  • thats kind of pussy. make it a .50 cal. from e very direction and it'll be good

  • I could survive a 20 val bullet

  • @hockeyskater26 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i think you meant to say, "20 caliber bullet". LOL. the funny thing is they dont have a 20 caliber. FUNNY ASS LITTLE KID

  • @FullBloodedHmoob think he meant 20mm round not caliber

  • @hockeyskater26 well yeah until you realize its not a .20 cal bullet...

  • i wanna see diehard vs a springfield 30 06

  • Safe useful feature, I alway shoot car batteries in my spare time ! But hey... they don't fit anymore once you shoot them up, so what's the point ?

  • wow i started the the video and began reading the description and when i got to "cue the lonely whistle", the whistle started O_o

  • no way.

  • Pssh, you could do that to one of the old sears brand car batteries. Those things are indestructible.

You could drop a "Die hard" battery off a skyscraper and it'd not work a seccond time. A sears battery though, sheeit...

  • It's basically saying that the battery can start the car even if the battery is severely damaged

  • that total bull. they just atached it to a working batery hidden in the truck

  • @Motorhead289

There's a reason the Military uses these batteries in their vehicles overseas.. The Diehard Platinum-series batteries are re-badged Odyssey batteries. I have a PM-1 (rebadged 2150) in my LC, 1150CCA, can push 2200A hot for 5 seconds.. My poor starter has never spun so fast in it's 14 years..

  • NOW TRY A BASUKA!

  • And this proves... What?

  • @swamper777 That dumping chemicals in the desert is A-OKAY!

  • ANY AGM (Absorption Glass Mat) battery will do the same.

In any case, if your battery gets shot, chances are its not the only thing being shot as well so this ad is useless.

  • Next step could be DieHard Battery vs. Lahti L-39.

  • well is a good battery if you live in a war zone

  • wow. now that was acutally impressive. ;)

  • umm yeah....

MY BATTERY ISNT GOING TO GET SHOT WITH A RIFLE...

    This is plain silly...

  • Will It Blend vs DieHard Battery

  • @DustinDolby FTW

  • This would be awesome if i lived in Detroit and got shot at everyday. Thanks for nothing diehard

  • yeah i really need a battery that works after being shot...

  • i call shenanigans.

  • try a desert eagle or a ump 45

  • @chamil796 Since thats a .45 caliber sub machine gun, lower velocity, lower caliber. Quit bringing modern warfare 2 "knowledge" into real world applications.

  • @Si13ntKi11 lol I bet the kid never even touched a real firearm.

  • Comment removed

  • Now im guna go home and shoot my battery!

    jk

    lol

  • bout time they put some good comercial on. I'm sick of the axe comercial showing ugly men taking showers and shit

  • rocket launchar?flame trowa?MACHINE GUN?!?!A SEE ONE THIRTAY?!?!?!??!

  • Now how do we get home?

  • i dout it

  • i have a die hard platinum with an 1800watt sound system in my truck.... ive had it for 2 years, what in incredible battery

  • WTF WOAH

  • damn that shit just wont fucking die lmao

  • well no shit it would still start the two halvs are fine were the posts are

  • ya bcuz a battery thats shot n half is totally gunna work

  • The Bullet Is Know Diamonds!

  • @OGST33L What?

  • BULLSHIT!!!

  • even when this is a agm battery; the battery was blown in two - no electrical connection and the truck starts like a fresh battery BS.

Even if ther was still a connection at the top the most you would get is a click with over fifty percent of the battery gone..

  • these videos are bull shit

  • Lol, but you could only do this with an AGM battery (contains the electrolyte in the fluffy white glass mat, no extra acid to spill out). If this were done with an average acid / water filled car battery, sulfuric acid would be everywhere and there would be no way to get that truck to start.

  • @sirmasterpimp Sears Diehard Platinum is a Absorbed Glass Mat battery. Lol

  • I was like at first....ok...so they wanna show me that this battery can wistand a hit from a bullet....then it split in two....i then was like...ok...now what?...wait...no way....

  • now thats a dam bat. guess thay dont call it a diehard for nutying. he he

  • that would work with any battery as long as the connection between positive and negative posts stayed intact, cut the battery completely in half and it wouldn't work. But even then you could probably attach the 2 halves in the right place with a wire and make it work. probably wouldn't hold charge for very long though if all the fluid leaked out. Just my theory

  • @RyanUnplugged The battery still needs to produce close to 12 volts to run the starter. The leads that connect the cells are at the top of the battery so they weren't damaged but I'm still surprised it could produce the necessary voltage...

  • @BuffaloWarrior7 yeah, that's what I figured, kinda obvious that if it was completely in half it wouldn't work. I wonder if my theory of using a wire to connect the two halves would even work in the case of complete separation. The leaked fluid has gotta give the battery a short life span also. Can a battery even work at all for a little while if it is totally drained of fluid?

  • @RyanUnplugged It looks like these don't use conventional acidic fluids to strip lead from the plates. Seams more of a powder or paste or something like that. Don't completely know how the batts work but if the lead had been stripped of enough electrons before the truck was started then it wouldn't really matter. I'm sure if they let the battery sit overnight it would be dead. Either way Die Hard batteries are the way to go.

  • @RyanUnplugged you know what you are talking about.

a battery will still start a vehicle even when torn up like that. as long as the plates are not shorting out and it used soon. if it is left for too long it wouldn't hold a charge.

its nice to see that people are using brains here. my battery is the walmart everstart maxx brand, it is 6 years old and holds a charge. even when i run the battery down to 8 volts it will still start my truck. and remember sometimes you just need to add water!

  • @idontrunntoofast I use everstart maxx also and have had pretty good luck with it. Although the last one I bought for my truck died 1 month after the 3 year warranty. bad timing. I topped it off with water and tried to trickle charge and fast charge it, didn't worked. Might try a die hard next time.

  • @RyanUnplugged thats too bad. isn't it surprising how many things die just after the warranty is gone? its like the ford taurus third generation i believe it was had one of fords popular transmissions AXOD, AXOD-E or AX4S well one of those or all of those had a part in it that was designed to go out at around 60000 to 100000 miles! which would be just after the warranty went out! well you cant go wrong with a diehard they are really good batteries that is all my uncle will ever put in anything!

  • @idontrunntoofast the"designed to fail"thing is ridiculous but I believe it.I'm not sure if it was true but on old friend of mine had a dodge truck and said he had to change out a regular 9 volt battery ever once in a while in the dash that would set off the"check engine" light when it would go dead, making you take it to the shop if you didn't know how to just change the battery.Sounds ridiculous, but I guess it is a good reminder, but I doubt that is the true intention, just too skeptical I guess.

  • @RyanUnplugged there are some things that seem to be set up to simply make you have a hard time and waste your money on some fix for it. the nine volt battery setting off a check engine light is surprising. but i guess thats like you said it might not be the true intention, maybe it was there to keep idle settings in the ecu even when the car battery was removed? i guess thats why it pays to find out for yourself if you can fix a problem before you bring it to a mechanic and waste money.

  • @idontrunntoofast you must have an old vehicle because if you knew3 anything about new cars a battery has to have 12 volts stored to start the car or the computers wont run!!

  • @pmoses88 yes i know that the computer must have enough voltage to turn the ecu on in electronic ignition and fuel injected cars. yes i have an old toyota 82 pickup that i restored myself. yes it is a 22r with a stock carburetor and has no ecu. BUT i didn't say my battery would start a new car at 8 volts i said it would start my truck. my battery has a high cca. you seem to blow up really easy over nothing. and don't hound me about new cars i know enough enough about them to suit my needs.

  • Get an interstate!!!!!

  • Nice battery. Really though, I just want to know the name of the song in the background.

  • These batteries would be PERFECT For any Late model GM Vehicles Equipped with OnStar! that way, even if the Battery compartment IS Compromised, the OnStar Will still Work and get you help!

  • @digitalrailroader, unless its done like I've seen in many cases and in fact, Died Hard.

My only issue with Die Hards is they just plain die without warning. Normally I get a weak crank out of a battery, but after 5 years of service my Die Hard DIED HARD. I know it was getting close, but i'd rather get some warning if anything. Not dying in the middle of a severe thunderstorm.

Just keep an eye on your batteries guys. Just cause its a die hard don't mean its gonna be there when you need it.

  • I handled the weapons on this commercial. The rifle is a Ruger M77 in .458 Winchester Magnum caliber. The Bullet is a 500 Grain Soft Point. The loading sound is real, the test is real. We tested several of these batteries during prep and with varying calibers. This was the most dramatic result. I went out and bought a Die Hard Platinum the next day.

  • I think im gonna start taking all of my old car batteries and start shooting them. Whats the worst that could happen shooting a lead acid battery? This video proves it is safe to do!!!

  • Yea, I'd agree it's possible too - they've obviously been very clever about where they shoot it though.....

Suprised it still puts out enough volts to do anything useful but hey....

  • LOL the beeping at the end was the battery's self-destruct sequence starting XD

  • lol what a small world i do that with my AA batteries.

  • damn

  • did ... they use sound effects when he loaded the gun lol ?

  • notice the camera come up just enough to not be able to see the batter for just a split second but right their they switched batteries

  • @calcifer643 everything ALWAYS has to be a conspiracy....gosh.. you people..

anyways, the REAL problem with this commercial is... how will they get home?obviously putting that battery back in might do something bad...

  • @fightingfist18 it just proves quaility.

  • @calcifer643 not sure what your talking about but watch the headlights while he is connecting the cables they clearly flicker on, so what i notice is a battery with a hole in it clearly giveing power lol

  • i wanna see a DieHard Battery against a .50 caliber Bullet !!!

  • @MoSxyxnr24 it almost was it was .458

  • @MoSxyxnr24 and i bet it will still run damn shit will not die

  • @MoSxyxnr24 It'd probably be a little less spectacular, as most .50 BMG bullets aren't designed to expand in something as soft as a battery. Now, I have a .500 AHR on a CZ-550 that, when loaded with some of the 535 grain Hawk RNSPs, and pushing 2600 fps, probably wouldn't leave much behind.

  • wow

  • Their is just Still enough juice to have the truck start.

  • wtf

  • now try that with a acid filled diehard battery

  • does anyone know what the song playing in the background is?

  • @username4589 ballata per un pistolero... dont ask how i know. lol

  • I've been buying Die Hard batteries exclusively for years. They're the best, bar none.

  • O_o now try hitting the left or right side of it.

  • The lead in the bullet added lead power to the battery and supercharged it.

  • now just get someone to hold the stand while you're driving

  • desert schmesert...

will it start the truck in green bay, WI, in february?

  • @inerlogic lol rite or Chicago in January

  • another video for the mythbusters :)

  • @draur LOL I was thinking this same thing before I read your comment indeed a video for mythbusters lol

  • it looks to me like it is a single cell, not multiple cells...

  • you can do that with any battery as long as you dont break the buss bar on top that conects the cells.....do they realy think they are fooling people......

  • Comment removed

  • @dabigjokeoftheday well they r not fooling anybody they already exist. btw not everybody know as much as u and i about batteries even tho there is not much into them but hey ppl still dont know how to use their cellphones even tho they have to use them everyday thats how dumb ppl are and yes its sad

  • @dabigjokeoftheday Not everybody knows how a battery is designed...

  • Christ, I know what my next battery is...

  • it's real.

  • You Win DieHard. My next battery is from Sears.

  • I think I'd like to try this. Anyone got a rifle?

  • @fredciba If you have the battery I have the Rifle.

  • Believe it.

  • diehard platinum can do it....but NO other battery can.

    way cool and REAL.

  • Don't believe it try it with your own Die Hard battery ,I use Interstate so if I put on the road and a semi hits it will it still work.

  • bull shit lmao imposible

  • Wow.....just wow. How is that even friggin' possible? I guess there's still some juice still left in the battery even after shooting it?

  • @LVGshultz My theory is that the cells all connect at the top and that the bullet only hit some of them at the bottom. You shouldn't need 100% of the battery's capacity to start a car, so it started.
