I will admit I could go without the 2d notes but this game has something the others don't. Why didn't rockband and guitar hero make all the songs covers like this game? That would be the ideal thing to do when you are playing as a band covering a song. Can't say I'm heavily stoked about how the game is full of covers, but it at least looks like a good rental. The notes going straight down are just odd as hell, but livable, and the one good thing about covers is it basically opens them to do whatever music they want.

I'm pretty sure they have a damn good reason to use covers. So they can actually create key sounded charts and not those lazy "just-mute-the-music-when-they­-miss" bullshit in GH/RB. Konami has been able to license many master tracks. Just look at the DDR series.

Every interview I've seen says, "We're really foucusing on the drums." First off, they need to focus on everything! Not just drums. Look at Rock Band and Guitar Hero. The focus is on every instrument. Even bass has the crowd going at times.

Konami tries to conform to american gamers too much when they import stuff over. DDR sucks ass over here (no offense to anybody that likes the american ports).
