  • This setup is awesome bro, my ranger is in the shop right now, but I've been looking for a nice sounding exhaust to stick on my ranger, I think I've found it.

  • Amazing

  • Hey man love the exhaust! I plan to do this to my ranger. What kind of gas mileage do you get with all the mods on your truck though?

  • hey man im interested in finding out the type of v6 you have is it a ohv or a sohc? if sohc how did you remove the rev limiter i need help thanx man i really would a appreciate it man

  • @ikaikaboy88 My ranger has a sohc engine in it as well. I don't think you can acutally remove the rev limiter, but you can increase it to a speed you want it to be at with a performance programmer. At least thats what I did. Off the top of my head, companies like Jet and Superchips sell them; I know there are others that sell them as well.

  • @xJx3g3xHx yeah my superchips unfortunately didn't raise it any take on why? Just wondering

  • My exhaust are really i have glasspack duals on 3.0 and they rusted off lol its loud as shit but it sounds mean

  • Just to set some things straight. Ford hasn't sold the most trucks 34 years straight. The Ford f-series is the best selling truck name plate because all ford trucks minus the ranger have an f-series designation. That is the f-1,2,3,4,5,6, and 750. Gm on the other hand, divides its trucks between two brands,( that way they can open a GMC dealership in small farming towns and not waist money on stocking cars that will not be bought.) And medium and heavy duty designations.

  • @Coyote575 Ummm.....I guess thats good information to know....?

  • @Coyote575 Chevys and GMs on the other hand, don't fair very well with age. Fresh off the lot, they are awesome trucks. Great ride, very comfortable, good looking, powerful.

I've driven quite a few that have extremely soft suspensions, are very loose, and have severe problems with their brakes being too sensitive. This isn't the case with all Chevy and GM trucks, but I've seen and experienced it enough times that I would never buy a Silverado if I didn't plan on getting rid of it.

  • @Coyote575 You shouldnt comment on shit you obviously know nothing about... Ford HAS BEEN the best selling truck for 34 years straight in EVERY class meaning 1/2, 3/4, 1 ton and 1 ton plus, learn how to read and state facts not some stupid bullshit you just made up. FYI the F150 alone comes close to Chevy's total truck sales, and Ford trucks out sell GMC and Chevy combined by a large amount. Thats fact not opinion, theres a reason why Ford didnt go bankrupt... because they build the best shit

  • @okmsfootball81 and it sells. Just remember one thing... everytime you look at a new Chevy/Dodge truck its being built with your tax dollars because they can only build shit. hence the reason they had to take the bailout. I do love that exhaust, i have the same setup on my 99 Ranger 3.slow

  • do you got the muffler on becauz i want to do that with mine but last time i had to remove the muffler to make it sounds nice and got shit from the police

  • @Jr72 I dont have the muffler on. I have had it off for nearly two years now, and the cops have not seemed to mined it at all.

  • hey do you know what size piping you got for the y pipe? i know for sure my 03 is 2" inch stock pipe, im looking for a y pipe that got a 2 inch inlet but im not sure what size to make the outlet...

  • It only cost me 40 dollars for my lightning style exhaust on my 4.0. ha ha you paid 215 buck I feel really bad for you man

  • @GoGoggansGo You paid $40?? You would of had to made you own exhaust system and put it on yourself for it to be that cheap. Any exhaust system thats premade online or at a custom exhuast shop will run over $100. Plus labor if you dont put it on yourself, and that will run about $100 dollar as well. But I applaud you saving money on your own lightning style exhaust system. Would like to see some vids of it.

  • @xJx3g3xHx I have the receipt dude 40 dollars on the dot and it got an tip. I went to Ford Heights in Chicago and I live in Indiana So I went to an cheap o mexican place nothing against mexicans. They did a really good job and they even weilded it.

  • @xJx3g3xHx I did pay 40 dollars for the exhaust weilded and everything. I have the recipt and it sounds sweet. I upload an video soon after I get my MSD ignition with pulstar irdium plugs

  • @GoGoggansGo Nice. You got a sweet deal on you exhaust system then. Ha! I totally got ripped off then. Oh well, I still enjoy it either way. Look'n forward to seeing some vids of your ranger!

  • @xJx3g3xHx Thanks man

  • @xJx3g3xHx Yeah, there's a local exhaust shop around here too that does this for around $60.

  • how much did the exhuast set up cost?

  • @TheApeLord1 The grand total was $215, and thats including the labor installing it as well.

  • i got a 95. took the flange from the header wacked all the OE stuff off. ran 3in into a side dump. sounds bad ass. soon ill be swappin pistons and eatin 5.0s with myine

  • sounds good man

  • i like the sound of your truck i got a 99 ranger with the 3.0l i got jba headers and a single stage flowmaster race muffler with a 3" exhost runnin out the side in front of the right rear tire its loud im just lookin for a supercharger then im done

  • ahhhh! its a 6!!!!!1

i thought it was an 8!? booooooooring!

  • can you vid more of the whole system? My '04 4.0L has a custom off road Y-pipe to a resonator to a flowmaster then out the side.

  • Well You sold me, I did almost the same thing with my truck, Think later on when I have the money Im going to have the cats cut off and have a high flow cat put on and then run 3 inch pipeback and run similer tips to yours......mine sounds alot like this but im using the stock 2 inch pipe on mine and its not quite as deep but sounds alot like this.

  • @AllAlaskan907 Thats awesome! Hope to see some vids of it!

  • @xJx3g3xHx Dont have a Camera atm :( but When I can I will try to get a video of it. Mine is a 94 4.0L so its not as "Pretty" as your truck lol but has over 200k miles on it and still has LOTs of power to it. But when I can get my hands on one I will try to get a video and post it on youtube.

  • The more and more I see these clips on You tube of Strait piped 4L rangers the more I want to do mine. Yours sounds very good.

  • what kind of rims are those?

  • @THESGROCKS The rims are stock ford rims. They used to be a shinny gray, but I sanded, primed and painted them my self.
