I remember the game always stopped at 3:30. The music wouls start up...then nothing else would happen, and i couldn't get out of it.

If he doesn't tell his dad about the mail, he finds out anyway because this is the day report cards were handed out, so common sense dictates Willy would have received his grades by now.

So if you don't tell him Willy's grades, not only is it useless to hide it but you ALSO get Willy's dad mad at him, which isn't something you need in a game that has a "parents meter" that gets you sent to military school if it fills up.

The better choice is to face the music and give him the card.

man... I saw the dad's news coming a mile away... I knew he'd get laid off instead of getting a promotion, with the exception of everyone being greedy jerks, this exact thing played out at my dinner table once.

this game reminds me of a more modern version of King's Quest, it's a point n' click puzzle game and I love these kinds of games, they can be pretty quarky and I like that. thanks for posting these

I know it's been two years, but since I know the answer and no one else has answered you, I'll answer.

If you don't give Willy's father, Gordon Beamish, the report card, he "pulls rank" or rather asserts his parental authority to make Willy give him the report card.

Of course, if you don't sneak out of school and steal the card in the first place, Gordon finds out anyway because the school lets him know.
