  • WHY DID I NOT FUCKING KNOW ABOUT THIS SOONER!?!?!?!?!

  • Sound like there singing about Uncle Stephen (King) and Shia LaBouf

  • bonita cancion ,te transmite tantas cosas, ,sentimientos y respiro tu perfume,tu aroma de tu cuerpo tanrapido que nADA SE ME ESCAPA,SALUDOS DESDE TIERRA AZTECA.

  • for someone who doesnt speak icelandic, i think its a pretty solid effort!

  • request and pray ---every human every soul either good or bad ,angle or evil ,sinner, demon , god or devil every one want to live as a good humanbeing --please save

  • Just pure Brilliance. Ive watched this so many times. its the best cover ever made the effort is amazing!!!! all the people saying this is terrible lol make me laugh you do better ??? :)

  • Of course not as great as the original, but still pretty damn good.

  • press 1 for cats

  • Regardless of how his accent sounds, it is only a cover... a lovely one, of that

  • its sung in hopelandic . its a language made up by Jonsi from Sigur Ros.

  • @acrav11 Most of his other songs are, yes, but not this one.

  • @acrav11 its icelandic

  • @acrav11 this song is just regular old icelandic :)

  • @Modulasjon they used phonetic spelling of the original song hoppipolla by sigur ros

  • To everyone who is bashing them for not being able to pronounce the Icelandic properly, I think you are being a tad negative. This song is about bliss and love and you are calling each other cunts while discussing it? Perhaps they did not want to remake the song just as Sigur Rós had done. The beauty of the world we have now is that multiple cultures can blend themselves to make everyone more diverse. Appreciate the emotions you feel while you listen to this cover, as well as the original song.

  • He is singing Icelandic like he is the lead singer of a pop punk band.

    This is terrible.

  • @hugom027 Given that you didn't know anything about it, perhaps you should hold back a little next time you feel the need to tell others "It's not not fucking icelandic. it's a made up fucking language. You cunt."

Although the funny thing is, cursing like that, you'd fit right in in Iceland ;) For example, google the terms "listasafn" (art museum) and the phrase "so fucking peaceful", then click the first link. Icelanders may not be big on conventional bombs, but they love the F-bomb ;)

  • @hugom027 You are incorrect. Let me start off with the lyrics for you:

Brosandi (from brosa," to smile"): "Smiling"

Hendumst í hringi (Hendumst, reflx. from henda, "to rush"; í, "in, at, into.." (etc); hringi, dat. from hringur, "circle"): "Racing in circles"

Holdumst í hendur (Holdumst, reflx. from halda, "to have/hold"; í (like above); hendur, nom. pl. from hönd, "hand"): "Holding hands"

And so on. The name of the song is from hoppa ("jump/skip") and pollur ("pool/puddle").

  • you dont really have to, just like learning lyrics, you dont have to understand them, I wish i could speak icelandic though, beautiful language :)

  • To be honest, I think the singer should work on articulating notes, not particularly pronunciation. I still think this is a pretty good cover, and I especially liked the instrumental and the harmonies. :)

  • @Modulasjon

they didn't the singer learned the song by sounding it out one word at a time.

  • wow, this is better than I expected. Great coming from an American rock band.

  • brillient cover!!

  • Wow. I am impressed. I thought there was no way they could pull this off but it is actually very well done.

  • im from iceland and this sounds like a person from the fareo islands! :´)

  • @ommza EPIC LOL

  • This is actually a lot better than I thought it would be.

  • I prefer the original, but this sounds interesting :]

  • Didn't think any band would cover this beautiful song, but that was a good cover.

  • Where can I find a download for this?

  • @NotDanMartineau Philistine. This may not be the best icelandic, but it's a very beautiful cover. I love Sigur Rós, but this is still great.

  • @Modulasjon Keith didn't learn Icelandic, he was hanging around an Icelandic woman that wrote down all of the words for him. He learned the song phonetically.

  • they're dong a great job in re-arranging the song..

  • quality song :) but you should of clipped the mp3 down to 4 minutes! 5*

  • @TrancetasticWilza I think that's to prevent the music labels from finding this on youtube ;)
