We dont need to have health insurance. No hmos. No one has to give me approval to see a doctor. No one searches through my past unless I allow it(theoretically!lol!).
I'm free to walk into any doctors office I want anytime,,and I pay nothing ever out of pocket. Suck on that john wayne.
All this talk of "big brother" , seems to me like your government has done an excellent job telling you what to think.
Its turned you into a reactionary where any talk of "public" this or "nationalist" that has got you running head first into the commie fears and myths. You got yer head up your big brothers ass.
Nationalized goverment healthcare systems they deny treatment to smokers, drinkers, obese people in UK, or Canada. The grass is not greener with goverment healthcare because the goverment will limit access to technological breakthrus. Nationalized healthcare like UK, or Canada sucks. Nertherlands, Switizelands are moving away from nationalized systems because they drain goverment budgets. No to NHS American service for healthcare
I'm from canada. I smoke, and I know some obese people. None of us have ever been turned away from a doctor.
Youve been bullshitted by your hmos, your pharmaceutical industry , medical establishment and your governments. So they can continue to exploit you all and make billions.
why would i need to ask anybody??? i live here and experience it first hand. people from all over the world still come to the United States to get the best qualily health care. you want to trade your rights and freedoms to be taken care of by a nanny state dictatorship, go to cuba, or north korea.
HAHAHAHAHAHA better quality BULL we our like 6th in the world the USA is ranked 36 behind Cuba ok you quality SUCKS ok I know people from the USA who left there because the SYSTEM SUCKS sure you can have private property just not health care Cooperations do not have your well being in mind ok I refuse to talk to you any more you Mouth Piece
In the USA the middleclass already pays for everyone elses healthcare mistakes. We pay for free medical for the poor and goverment workers they recieve though our tax dollars better healthcare then working families can afford. Nationized healthcare would finally give the working poor and the middleclass the healthcare we pay for for everyone else.
Honestly the Canadian system does provide better health care then the U.S. -if you can think outside of ideology you have to acknowledge that. You should be more afraid of corporations then goverment - wake up and smell the corporate welfare state.
I trust corporations more. If I got bad service from a commercial health care provider, I could switch. If I got bad service from the state and wanted faster/better treatment, I would have to pay out of pocket.
And why do you distrust corporations anyway? They want to make money, but so do politicians and everyone else. You could say that they're "profiting from sickness". But you have to pay for healthcare anyway, and it makes little difference to me whether it ends up in a CEO's pocket or a politician's pocket. At least, with a private system, I get to choose which CEO gets it.
Your logic is not right - Canada has universal health care and they don't push the ads you talk about. Also I would be more worried about the big brother of corporations (private healthcare) then government. Corporations are generally more powerful then governments. 51 of the largest 100 economies are corporations now countries.
Private healthcare sucks that way too. On your first appointment, they make you fill out a "survey" to assess your risk of getting sick. Actually, I'm of the opinion that insurance is a bad idea in general, but there you have it.
And, yes, Canada is more intrusive about that sort of thing. They've got those "graphic" cigarette warning labels, while we just have a little note.
yes they do have more ads, but not much more then the U.S. and those warning labels are a good thing. Again they do not have the sort of ads you suggest in your video, I would rather have the odd public service ad then an inefficient corporate system. I wonder if you have a problem with all the corporate insurance ads in America - or I guess your ok as long is it's corporate propaganda and not state.
How is that intrusive. They're just telling you the facts. They don't care whether or not you look at it. Or do you just enjoy being ignorant about what can hurt you? Dude, it's not like they are coming into your house and taking the cigarette out of your mouth. That would be intrusive.
But they also pay for a broken system. We have many who come to America just to get the care they can't get at home. And even if they pay less and get better I would still prefer to have private. Give me freedom from government.
freedom from government is an ideology the corporate media and corporations push on you because it means more profits for them. The fact is that the U.S. system is more broken then Canada's - U.S. citizens pay more for less that's a fact.
Well, if you stop with this 'me, me, me' attitude, you might realize that helping other people is what we're supposed to do, and that is the real role of government.
But letting government help people is no help at all. It gives no reason for innovation or no incentive to do a good job, your going to get paid either way.
Are you kidding? So, you think if the government gives us what we need and takes care of us we'll just sit there like lumps until we die? We were around before money and we got to it, through it and now here we are. Incentive by cash is not the way to go. We have to want to better ourselves.
Why would anyone "want to better themselves"? It's fine to advocate socialism, but I have to ask: if we don't have money, then what is there to live for? As Ayn Rand would say, if you don't get paid; if there is no "cash incentive", then how is that different from slavery?
The only difference is that socialism is supposedly well-intended. And we all know what the road to hell is paved with.
Slavery would be being forced to do things. With socialism you do what you want to do, and the government supports you. Thing is, when the government has no money, they have no incentive to cause a person harm. Rules are made more to protect the citizen than to keep him in line. Man can advance further without the price tag on everything. Can you imagine what our advances would be with no money?
You can throw out money, but power and resources will remain an issue. If you have a government without money, then they own all the resources, and there is a massive incentive to gain power to exploit those resources. Without money, power becomes the only currency, as the state decides who gets what.
And, no, with socialism, you don't get to do what you want to. You have to work to feed yourself, just like with capitalism. However, since the state is your only employer, you are forced to take whatever job it gives you. Don't want to work in Siberia? You're out of luck.
Im not saying every one will set around. But i am saying very few will have any reason to aspire to greatness giving us innovative things. Rather you like it or not money drives people. And not so much money as resources. Want a better life work harder and smarter, that is the message of capitalism.
be abble and understand each others needs, understand that marginalisation brings crime and that not everyone has the same oportunities, smart and hardworking or not, is called civilization. capitalism alone does not create civilized men, im sorry
That's where capitalism is wrong. I know it's a hard concept to fathom, but most people would like to do what they want. If they were allowed to do what they want as a "career" they would be more driven to do better. If they already had everything they want or need, they could do their job with less stress, and only to do it well, not just to get it done. Capitalism is the problem.
Yeah. But if your problems become my problems and my problems become your problems, then neither of us is going to have any freedom to hurt ourselves, or do things that are perceived to be harmful. And maybe it's better to be sick than to give up that freedom. Just thinking.
im sorry i dont think you realize what freedom is... im really sorry but it has absolutely nothing to do with socialism, its about social responsability, its about human rights, cristian values and trying to live in peace. its just no wonder that americans have huge crime rates im sorry this is well known

National health service is not a problem. What is a problem is a government that doesn't run it properly.
Infact I'm not going to get on to the subject of my government as it is embarrassing (Britain).
But back to the topic at hand. Big Brother!!!ONE! Dont be stupid. I swear to god some people give their governments way to much credit.
