Woah, I have some questions: How long do you already play guitar and how long did you need to master sweep picking? I'm 3rd year and trying hard, but I'm still beginner =/
asians are like im better then the whiteys Lol. But he is rele pro better then id prob ever be but dont thrash the song intro :/ that is the best part
oh jesus, excelent, all covers are the same, but your cover amazick, i'm trying to get the keyboard solo on guitar, when i'll have a good guitar, i'll record it,
hey. i'm using a pre-amp/tube overdrive pedal; tube amplification generally gives a fatter sound than solid state. i'm actually running it through a solid state amp (the fender champion 30 dsp; discontinued as far as i know), but i keep the natural gain really low and boost the signal with a dod 308. my eq settings are bass: 8, mid: 5, treble: 6.5
your out of tune..and really sloppy...but i can´t not deny that the idea was PERFECT!..because i always wanted to know how malmsteen would sound playing castlevania...
Check out LastFM. There were two albums released in the 90´s. One of the guitarist of the Naoto´s project was Katsu Ohta (chekhim out hee on youtube), a very inspired by Yngwie guitar player. The albums were called "Dracula Battle" Vloume 1 and 2.
Dude, I have like ZERO (0) knowledge on guitars (literally because my main instrument is the Piano) and even _I_, a person with no idea on guitars, can tell you're an absolute PRO.
well, just like how guthrie govan keeps his distance from "guitar" music. he's "wary" of it for very valid and self-evident reasons
listening to music by genre is stupid. genres are horrible paraphrases of an artist's identity and really, primarily for those less musically inclined who have to rely on arbitrary commercially decided terms rather than their own sense to navigate.
at the end of the day, what "genre" an artist falls into doesn't deepen your understanding of their music
WHAT THE FUCK! YOU ARE LEGEND! I also want to say your tate in game music is fucking amazing! So far all the game tunes you picked are like my favourite ones, do you do requests by chance? Peace brah
I got a question man, How come people with a lil more weight can play the guitar so easy? Its beyond me! im as skinny as hell and still learnin the guitar, but im a major fan of many kinds of music involving the lead. Oh! and this was fantastic! musta taken ya some time to get this good :D keep up the good work man! Rock On! \m/
I don't really get how you say you don't like any metal at all, but you are obviously very influenced by Yngwie, and a fan of Michiru Yamane's performances of these songs.
theoretically he could be left handed in things other than the guitar (i know more people who are lefties hat play right handed guitar than i know lefties who play a left handed guitar) , which would make his right hand his watch hand
For all those knockin this vid, which seems to be turnin into a trend, you obviously aren't experiencing the raw energy and improvisation here. When I hear it, I can't help but feel energised, and yes it is tastefully played, one of by fave bits is from 0.44 to 0.50, in which the notes just fit there perfectly - it's not out of key. Something doesn't have to be slow to have feel. Other emotions such as fury and vigour can be found here.
It's weird, "emotion" in a blues player's dictionary is so one-dimensionally defined. It's weird because this so-called emotion is what advocates pride the entirety of the genre's worth on.
There are millions upon millions of different emotions- most of which CAN'T be expressed with elementary whole notes and rests. Demonknight, keep in mind that in a context such as raw fury and battle, slow phrases are JUST as (if not more) out of place as.. Yngwie is in the blues? ;)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
yeah sorry but that wasn't musical in the slightest. I agree with the comment that alot of it sounded off key. The improvising was pretty awful sorry, there's more to it than just running arpeggios and scales up and down at insane speeds. A couple of notes played with good feel and phrasing would have sounded better than the whole thing. But then again I hate shredding and players like Yngwie. You've got awesome technique though
I'll remind you that 99.9% of classical music is scalar. What's the 3rd Movement of Moonlight Sonata? Just an Eb triad played in stacks of inversions- it's not good phrasing because Beethoven doesn't hop around the piano as stupidly erraticly as Frank Gamable does on a guitar? Please.
Ascending scalar runs are just as tasteful as a syncopated jazz lick; it's the context (i.e. chords and style) that makes a melody tasteful. The former sounds fierce at 1:00.
What is wrong with you noir666666666, all you do is knock his video. just enjoy it or criticise helpfully, all you seem to do is insult every aspect of it. 'practicing with a metronome' does not improve your vibrato, it is more likely to kill it.

Wow, it's rare I see such a pretentious boob on Youtube. Actually, wait, retract that...
Exactly what's sloppy about it? His picking is smooth, he doesn't overuse the T-bar, his playing matches the music, there are hardly any missed notes (if any at all,) and the arrangement captures everything in the song that needs to be captured.
As I don't have a video of myself yet I won't tell you to start posting, but I would suggest you leave "srsly" out of future comments, because it just looks shit
dude i love it very yngwie-ish i just dont like that part starting at 2:05 maybe ur tapping was a little off but this is good chit. oh and a little less whammy buddy... nice improv at the end
Yeah. I mean, I love this song. I must've played it over two thousand times on iPod, iTunes, etc. It never gets old. Now, I have a old 1GB nano, so I can't fit that much on it. However, your version of this song I would give up songs just to listen to it on the go.

fuck dude , I've already commented on this vid but I keep coming back to it. Hey man , do you think it's possible for you to pull off "Dance of the Pales" on guitar , I know it seems like it belongs on the piano but I'm pretty sure you could pull it off , plus it's my fav Castlevania song:)

I don't often comment on videos, but this demanded it. You're brilliant here. Imo, you frequently manage to combine technical playing with good melody, which to be frank is more than I can say for Yngwie himself, who has truckloads of the former but (from what I've heard) is lacking in the latter.
18? I've seen lots of talented guitarists as well around your age, but your improvising skills and shredding are beyond excellent. Reminds me of Randy Rhoads...heh. You shouldn't put that to waste y'know ;)
Read your blog by the way. Quite interesting, albeit I disagree with some of the things you said. Kudos :D
This is probably one of the most underrated Bloody Tears covers on Youtube =/
Sounds like you messed up the intro and the tapping a bit, but other than that, it's my favorite cover of the song here. The bends and shredding are superb, keep it up man. How old are you again?

How old are you again?

are there any band guitar players that can last this long in live performance?
