Unfortunately, this is a car that I won't buy. I'm really looking for an alternative to a gas powered car but this car is design for the "Look at me" crowd. And not for the professional-family-looking-to-do-our-part kind of client. To bad for GM at least Toyota understand something about meeting customers needs. Geez this really is the Decline of the American Empire!
Sorry Sasserdave, I have to disagree and I don't want to make that a company car war. You say "At least GM..." but Toyota has been making changes since 1997 with the Prius! More than 10 years that customers can at least have a different choice. What did GM do other then crush their most innovative project??

the Volt is an Overpriced Prius. GM deceived[lied] the public about this being an Electric car its an overpriced hybrid thats 11 years behind the Prius.
if gas were $2 a gallon today the VOLT will NOT EXIST !!
