  • maybe a good cardiovascular workout, but terrible for muscles joints and bones, easily a way to get injured

  • maybe if you undestood the purpose of the kipping it would make sense..they are strickly done in a work capacity manner meaning that is the most time efficient way to complete the exercise.... if you were to do standard strick pullups, you would be doing it for stregnth and it would completely remove any cardiovascular conditioning which is the purpose of this workout above.... understand the workout and the purpose and maybe then you can make an educated statement

  • lol kipping

  • Doin work!

  • for God sakes people those are how the pull ups are suppose to be done. the people that are doing the pullups know the difference between kipping pullups and regular.

  • bad pullups. Using your body movement for pulling up - damage the spine.

As they finish the weight lifting, they throw it to the ground carelessly.

Fast very hard, but not a clean work.

  • this seems like an extremely catabolic way to train, also those are the worst fucking pullups i've ever seen, were the back muscles used at all? Looked like strict momentum

  • Comment removed

  • i Bench over 9000

  • @dubspell WHAT 9000??!?!??!?!??!

  • great workout

  • great! however those pull ups hurt to watch...I doubt I could do with back problems so I will have to stay doing them slower...amazing workout!

  • crossfit is a bullshit program. dont bother.

  • @sk8r9871 that's not true :/ ?

  • THE WORKOUT CALLED FOR KIPPED PULLUPS. Several workouts in crossfit involve strict pullups. The programming for this WOD is great. 400m run right into a kipped pullups into hang power cleans. The run tires you for the next two movements, the kipped pullups work your core and grip which makes the hang power cleans a bitch. If the workout called for strict pullups, the other exercises would be different. GPP, general physical preparedness.

  • Dont hate on the kipping pullups. When you have to do that many the swinging gives you momentum to do more. Im not a crossfitter but my friend is and I tried doing this doing straight pullups and I was gassin out by the second set too

  • like there crossfit routine, but, what the hell kind of pullups are those? looks like there dry humping the air, hahahaha

  • Kipping is a build-up to do whats called a muscle-up which are traditionally done on olympic rings. So before you talk trash about kips not being orthodox pull ups i suggest you look up "Crossfit Muscle Up x30" and tell me you'd love to do 30 of those in one sitting. If you can, i bow down to you, Because you my friend are a badass.Crossfit Athletes = Powerlifting Sprinting Gymnasts , among the best athletes in the world.

  • I will say that the work is tense, but I have notice that proper pull up form is always lost, and EXTREME kipping is shown in 80% of videos I watch. I've heard countless times that quality is better than quantity. My comment is in no way hating or bashing cross-fit or cross-fit athletes, simply constructive criticism.

  • kipping..

    `everyone has there own approach

  • While strict dead-hang pull-ups are better for stimulating upper-back muscle growth, Kipping pull-ups have several advantages over dead-hang. For example kipping pull-ups improve whole-body co-ordination and improve hip drive which carries over to activities like Olympic Lifting, e.g. the powerclean. Kipping pull-ups are cool.

  • those aren't pullups

  • Just tried doing this in nearby gym. By the 2nd set I could only manage 11 pullups. This shit kills!

  • Why would anyone listen to this so called music. It's the worst crap I've ever heard. I had to mute it just to watch the video.

  • And not one pull up was done that day.

    Not one.

  • @xlvisser Haters gonna hate. Go fist fuck yourself, douchebag.

  • @xlvisser Yeah i was going to say the same thing exactly!!!!

WTF is that swinging shit? when i do pull ups i do 15 streight up none of this swinging bs

  • Comment removed

  • @xlvisser You are a moron...get off your computer and do a WOD at a real crossfit gym and then tell me how you feel about crossfit.

  • @xlvisser and all the CROSSFIT pull ups done

  • hey haters, quit bein pussys and try it. instead of thinking you know what you're saying.

  • @21ismonster

Can you ATG squat 3 plate?

    No?

    Shut up.

  • @LongSchlong9000 i don't think very many juniors in high school do that...

  • @21ismonster

    ...I'm a sophomore!

  • are they doing their pull up's right?

  • I am dumbfounded by the amount of people that bash these crossfit workouts. Especially those saying that it doesn't build functional strength. It is the most 'functional' workout I can think of. You really need look no further than the physiques in this video to let you know crossfit is for real.

  • you guys need to try measuring your 400m more accurately. If that was really 400 meters then all 4 of them set a world record (Michael Johnson, 43.18) other than that way work hard.

  • ...cont. Thirdly these workouts are scaled to the individual for there personal fitness levels and goals so each person can have the choice of how each exercise is performed as long as a full range of movement is used for each of the variations.

  • To the person that says that these pull ups are 'wrong'. First off training methods can only be classed as wrong if you are not doing the correct exercises/training methods for your particular goals. Secondly crossfit is about all round total functional fitness and if you ever had to pull your self up in a real situation for any reason you certainly would not do a dead hang strict pull up!!! You would get your self up there in the easiest, quickest way possible! TBC

  • The kipping pull up is way less intense than a real pull up, you don't have to pull half as hard when you just swing your legs and hips to get lots of momentum. It's like leaning back when doing bicep curls, makes it way easier and you don't feel it as much in your arms.

  • Crossfit rocks!

  • sometimes i wanna slap the guy who told all these people to do pull ups that way

  • @MrStocktonian The kipping is done to get a higher intensity. In crossfit you also do proper muscle up pull ups, so shush.

  • @MrStocktonian thats kipping pullup: While a kipping pullup is easier on your direct pulling muscles, it's much harder on your grip and it's much more cardiovascular. It's a full body movement where you generate power at your hips - a similar use of the legs and hips to a kettlebell swing or a barbell snatch - just the opposite direction.

  • @MrStocktonian They are Kip ups tell that to the actors of 300 seems to work...

  • Holy shit that was a lot harder than I expected, I thought I'd be some what close. I was wrong, 11:58 was my time. But I will improve.

  • ok for the people who want to know what they doing its called CIRCUIT WORKOUT.

  • If you don't like crossfit, you should check the science behind the concept, learn more about you're body's energy systems, how your body's hormones work, and try a blessed workout. I'm an exercise science major and my professors can't shut up about how great crossfit is for your health as a whole.

  • Crossfit will kick my ass? maybe! but so would running 20 miles. would running 20 miles make me a better athlete and more ready for any dangerous situations? If I was in danger and needed to run 20 miles straight with no breaks then sure, but otherwise not at all.

  • Alot of people think that the exercise routines that makes you the most exhausted is also the best one. This is only true if your goal is to lose weight and endurance. If you want to be stronger, faster, more explosive, more agile, better coordination, then crossfit is not the best option. Crossfitters think they are "elite" because they spend half an hour 5 times a week on exercise. The best athletes train strength, speed, agility and coordination seperately.

  • whats sad is half the people hating on crossfit are people who have never done it... do one crossfit circuit and you'll convert. ;)

  • Music is terrible but other than that nice vid

  • crossfit is a great way to get hurt and cause long term damage to joints and muscles, forms for lifting weights were put in place for a purpose, for safety and maximizing muscle growth, crossfit maybe exercise, but you will be spending a lot of time on that couch after you tear, pull or dislocate a muscle or joint

  • I am all for crossfit. but i will never ever again do workouts involving lots of olympic lifts whilst already near exhaustion. its just stupid. Crossfit coaches are taught decent lift standards, its the quality control when they go away and set up a gym that often falls away. these guys are pissing through those half arsed cleans, therefore why not just do them properly, or increase the weight so you have to do them properly to lift it. and i do a lot crossfit training and dont undertsand this.

  • @TheBoyupstairs What are you talking about the form was perfect. Those are called hangcleans and thats how you do them.

  • @beastmodetrevor I know what a hang clean is. the form is not perfect. my point is they really ARE half arsed hang cleans, where is the triple extension, where is the power? where is the shoulder elevation? Like i said, i love Crossfit, its the only training i do these days. but high rep Oly lifts in a state of near exhaustion? there is just no need for it at all. Hang cleans are great, but most of those reps brazenly ignore the point of hang cleans.

  • And before anyone calls me a crossfit hater, i am a crossfitter for the most part. I just diverge from and disagree with the accepted 'crossfit opinion' on these few points.

  • honestly everyone bashing on crossfit it kills me. look i was out of shape and couldnt do anything before i started crossfit. Its motivated me to go to gym every day and i love every workout. A 20 minute workout leaves me absolutely drenched in sweat and muscles so tired. Ive made so many friends and its changed my life from unhealthy fattass to healthy and strong.

ps. Lets see you do 20 strict pullups, and then see if you can do more kipping pullups.

  • @TrippleThreat15 Exactly. It's probably mostly bodybuilders tbh. I have followed a bodybuilding routine ever since I've been out of high school. It's just what I've always been used to. Well, I've always been into motocross and that sort of routine just kills your endurance. Crossfit gives you the best of everything IF YOU DO IT RIGHT. That's the problem. So many people have terrible form and is usually why these videos are hated on

  • @TrippleThreat15 20 strict dead hang pullups is an incredible feat. 20 kipping pullups isn't, what does that say about kipping? Fuck you

  • @bzeljn its funny because im 15, and i can do 25 unbroken kipping pullups and 17 dead hang. yet my kipping is 10x faster than my dead hang and its what i use to beast up WODS. if i trained my dead hang i could easily get it up to 25 soon

  • If CF concentrates on Olympic lifting, why is their forms so wrong and why is no one correcting them? Injuries will happen to this whole group. Just saying.

  • 0:57 tie your shoes babe.

  • The name of their third exercise?

  • i just hate those fucking kipping pull ups, omg. the only downside

  • is this a video of how not to perform exercises? seriously, you Can do fast and explosive workouts With proper form ... but not like this

  • WTF is with dropping the weights hard as shit?

  • @Taligreen80 because they are exhausted as hell and placing them down gently isnt really an option

  • Thanks for the name calling. It just proves you're scared. It's okay, though, maybe one day you'll man up and try it.

  • Great Video,But the music horrible!

  • @Robert317able

AGREED! the workout and video is done nice..

but I had to turn off the horrible music.

  • looks like a great wod! im def gonna work that in sometime in the next week! love it!

  • HAHAHAHA!!! What was that? Hanging cleans? Whaaat? Hanging cleans? HAHAHA! Where are so called Professional CF coaches? Why don't they correct their outstandingly pathetic technique? And why they are running shirtless? To impress? SOOO Gay!!! May be they are faggots??!! HAHAHA!!!

  • pretty sure those are hang cleans, not power cleans. I thought power cleans were from the floor not above the knee... still badass

  • i think it's important to note that doing hang cleans (if you could call the things in the video that) in running shoes is really, really stupid.

  • @dirtrail Why do you say that?

  • @jazzguyman for pulls and squats, your average running shoes are incredibly unstable and - more importantly - increase the risk of knee and ankle injury

  • @dirtrail Okay, thanks for that info. :) I'll take that on board when I work on those movements specifically. Could you suggest, however, a compromise for this type of workout, where running is involved also? Would be happy to hear some good ideas. Ta.

  • @jazzguyman well I guess any exercise which isn't dependant on ankle stability can be done safely in running shoes. Of course if you pick up your bodyweight (or more) stood on squishy unstable soles, you're not going to be firmly planted on the ground. This is not optimal while you're trying to move the weight maintaining good form, coordination and balance. Basically, I would say avoid deadlifting, cleaning, snatching and squatting. However all of these movements can be done safely barefoot.

  • Weak

  • Crazy, the guy with the nicest body came in last. Shows it aint about time.

  • @Taligreen80 He was away for a while on his faggot business,

  • @valgez1 He works with you? :)

  • @Taligreen80 Nope, I don't work with faggots

  • why does crosfit use all rubber weights when you have a rubber floor and rubber coatd iron weights can be droppen too??

B/C it makes people look stronger. 10lb rubber weightis same size as 45lb iron.

MARKETING. Best idea in a while but not very strong atheletes.

  • @02Crimson They're called bumper plates, idiot. Most olympic lifters use them because you can dump them. If you dump metal plates all the time, even with rubber matting, you will crack the concrete underneath. They are designed to be dropped. You obviously don't do any over head pressing or explosive lifting. Metal plates are for wusses who only do slow lifts or can completely control the weight they use. Bumper plates or for people who use weight that is uncontrollable...

  • @DementedMind Most lifters use the ones that are rubber coated and a 25 lb is much closer to the size of a 25 lb iron weight.

IF YOU THEORY WAS TRUE then there is not enough room on an olympic bar b/c the 25 lb solid rubber ones take up as much room as 300 lbs of iron. I do not think they are using the same bumber plates.

  • Someone come up with an argument against crossfit other than "kipping pullups"

That's the argument I hear time and time again, what about WODs like "Power clean 1-1-1-1-1-1-1" or "Thruster 2-2-2-2-2-2-2" or "Back squat 1 rep, Shoulder Press 1 rep, Deadlift 1 rep"

Those are some of the WODs just in the past month. the only thing in there that could be "cheating" is Thrusters.

Everytime someone has shit to talk about crossfit, its on a video with pullups, never the heavy weight workouts.

  • I wonder how many CFers will question Bruce Lee's physical conditioning ???

Do the CFers know that Bruce Lee incorporated Bench Press, Biceps curls, good-mornings, standing press in his workouts? No, i don't think that means anything to them. Great Guru, Reverend Glassman told them they are the best, "The Elite". Who the fuck is Bruce Lee after all? :-))))

  • @valgez1 Does Valgez know that CFers incorporate Bench Press, Back Squats, Standing Press and Deadlifts into their workouts, and in some cases they are the workout of the day.

Who the fuck is Valgez after all?

  • @Septiformus Hahaha! Well said, well said! I didn't mention deadlifts and backsquats because these are the basic, OBVIOUS exercises, any bodybuilder, powerlifter, sportsman does them as part of the basic conditioning, so it's not part of the "Elite" :-) routine. I mentioned biceps curls, because these are mocked at by CF community as "Bodybuilding exercises". Anyway, good to hear CFers do benching! What happened to you?

  • damn this is beast

  • Theres no real way to go about saying this without sounding like i'm talking smack so lets just get that out the way. I'm sorry. the kipping thing still boggles my mind. use your entire body? Correct me here if I'm wrong but couldn't I use my entire body doing curls? If I were I'd be cheating and not getting the workout in my biceps. Othere than the kippnig the workouts look good. They don't look fun but I'm sure they're good for ya.

  • @MARIONDSTAN Even "Ahnuld" did cheat curls after he could do any more strict curls

  • @MARIONDSTAN Why are you working out your biceps. How is that beneficial? Nobody cares how big your biceps are? The only thing they care about is your work capacity. If all you care about is the size of your muscles, then by all means, do only isolation exercises. The point of Crossfit is to maximize GPP - General Physical Preparedness. The point being not to try to be the best at one thing, but to be the best you can be at everything.

  • @DementedMind

There must have been a misunderstaning. I was trying to say when you're doing a pull up and using "momentum" to get up cross fit calls that "total body" ur not getting the workout in the desired muscles. So it would be the same if i were doing curls and swinging my back. I call that momentum too and cheating much like the kipping. I'm a firm believer like you in work capacity and I hate isolation exercises. Check my webpage out and look at my videos urbangymhouston, com

  • CF is ok because it has motivated people actually do exercise, but it has totally perverted the concept of a pull-up, just so more people can 'do the workout' and become paying members....

  • All bullshit aside. Any exercise is is better than no exercise. Who cares if this is labelled crossfit, or that is labelled something else its only a routine. The important thing is that YOU DO THE WORK.

  • @pac0re this is true. I do like the idea of really figuring out the most efficient form of exercise for that person and their goals. We know so little about the body but if people had your attitude we would all be much better off and probably figure out things a lot faster because there would be more collaboration.

  • great work out . I am prepping myself I love the intensity!!!!

  • Wow, what a bodies.. And love the workouts..

Think I 'm going crossfit too!

Any one knows a good site with a lot of crossfit workouts like this?

  • @urhunted crossfit.com

  • Did someone say crossfit is a joke? A post professional athlete and special forces member? Doesn't apply to sports? Crossfit is one of the few gym workouts that focus on overall, practical strength and endurance. Running or any other long distance cardio routines doesn't. Neither does isometric weight lifting. Special forces have been doing it for years, just haven't called it crossfit. If ur ruck sack running, then dragging casulties, then up-hill climbing, all for time, ur doing crossfit.

  • @skeelo977 You are right, the same applies to serious athletes: boxers, UFC fighters, basketball players and so on... But none of them does these pathetic so called "kipping" or "butterfly pull-ups", and also, as a rule, their hanging clean from is just terrible.

  • @valgez1 Yeah that's why 4.5 million people around the world are conducting crossfit daily. The no. crossfit qualified coaches grow daily into hundreds of thousands. The worlds most elite soldiers, law enforcements and SES use it as a method of training and 70% of NFL, 90% college level of teams are incorporating it in their regime. Yeah these definetly have no clue about what they are doing.

  • @abhijeet1989 Crossfit is a kind of training humans have done for all their history, this is what i did as a pupil at school: running, jumping, swimming, games with a ball, soccer, pull-ups, etc... This is what ANY competitive sport athlete did and does. But, then, bodybuilding has become the prime way of training, however NOT for sportsmen and NOT for the military. And now, those Crossfit idiots come and claim their "invention" and other idiots pay money for their "services".

  • @valgez1 ppl go to crossfit gyms to get motivated, learn form, get stronger, & have ppl their supporting them to finish the workout as fast as possible with good form. Thats why workout videos dont work for ppl, because no one is there helping them out. and struggling with ppl to finish a workout makes you not want to stop because they are going through the same thing as you. and they aren't claiming anything, they just created an environment where ppl can do those types of excercises freely

  • @gaberiellar Frankly, i didn't quite understand your idea, you mean it's OK to do smth weird and call it hanging cleans at the same time? So, it's not about getting benefits from doing exercises, but doing it fast at whatever price ?

  • @abhijeet1989 What i mean is "world elite soldiers" and other serious men are not incorporating Crossfit in their training, - what for? That's what they've always been doing! Only, the ignorant "wannabies" are saying : Yeah, theis is it! New fashion! Crossfit! We're gonna try it! The rumors are it's worth! And so on, and so on...

  • The only thing good about this video is the music, the song gets you jacked. As for the ppl doing the crossfit, good job, better than most of the ppl in our obese country of ours. As for crossfit, it's a joke really and to the ppl who apply it to sports, good luck. There is no regard to the body, proper form, or mechanics. Having played 6years professionally and going on four years in the special forces, crossfit is laughed at and has become a common joke to the elite athletes of today.

  • @MrShmeegan The problem is that with how fast CrossFit is picking up, there are a lot of crap trainers out there. Greg Glassman (creator) even stated that CrossFit is to be a "broad, general, and inclusive fitness." Nothing about that statement tells me that it's designed to apply it specifically to anything. It's the people within CrossFit that have developed this false idea. As for body, form and mechanics. My trainers are anal about all of these...yet some are not.

  • @MrShmeegan 10 years as a TACP says your comment about anyone in SF laughing at Crossfit is a load of shit bud. Sure there may be some but you will have those guys with everything.Over the last few years I've seen crossfit explode through the Special Ops community like a raging wildfire... The Air Force is paying for there TACP, CCT, and PJ intrsuctors to get there Crossfit Cert in some occasions... You going to tell me those guys aren't elite atheletes?

  • great video! just wondering how much weight was used for the hang cleans, does it break down further for male or female doing the hang clean?

  • Awesome training!!! keep pushing!!!

  • kipping pull up suck but they still wrk your butt off

  • lol cheat chin ups

  • A girl in Kansas was featured in a CrossFit video on the journal site a little while ago. She's a freshman in high school. She runs Track. She went to state for the 100meter, 200m, 400m, and 800m and WON ALL 4 EVENTS at state. She trains using CrossFit. Look it up if you wish, its an amazing story. As far as I am concerned, being a half-decent Track runner myself, she is elite. I don't know anyone who can do what she can, and she trains strictly using CrossFit.

  • that was beast

  • @ everyone arguing about which is better....whether you go to a gym and isolate muscle groups or you do crossfit or even P90X, at least you're exercising and give a damn about your health and appearance. Instead of arguing about what's better, appreciate that you're both doing something to better yourselves instead being lazy and overweight or whatever the case may be. Clearly the individuals in this video are in shape and deserve some recognition. Congrats on the hard work...Thank a Veteran.

  • @kane8787 Fucking A Respose!! great point

  • @kane8787 Hey, quick question: when someone replies to something I have said under a video, is there an easier way to reply back without going to 'see all comments'? I don't seem to see a place to reply right from my inbox. Is there? Thanks.

  • @nyclear I don't frequent youtube or comment on things too often so I'm really not too sure. The only reason I knew that you replied was the email that was sent to me saying that you'd commented on my post. Other than that I'm not too sure.

  • I've never seen a crossfitter do 20 pull ups, I have however seen people post on crossfit forums that said they could do 25-30 kipping pull ups but only 5 real pull ups. And I've seen lots of youtube videos of people doing kipping pull ups that still don't get their chin above the bar. I never workout at a gym or do bicep curls, but I have strapped 50 pounds to my waist for multiple pull up and chin up reps. I don't know if that's "elite" but it's harder than flopping up the bar.

  • @biggamejames79 there is a difference between strength training and fitness training. obviously it is much harder to strap that much weight to yourself and do pull ups and chin ups but thats the kind of training you do. crossfit is focused around the concept of being "fit", meaning they have the ability to do common daily tasks without due fatigue. its made for the common person who may not always have the time to do 1 hour exercises. also it teaches you how to use ur body right and prevent

  • @biggamejames79 injury. for example...picking up a bag from the ground = deadlift. putting a box on your shoulders = clean. putting somthing overhead = snatch. sitting down in a chair = squat. most of these olympic lifts are taught at crossfit gyms by certified teachers who are more than willing to teach. But all of the moves are "functional" and are found in common tasks done the average person. oh and i know many people who do over 20 strict pull ups that are on crossfit. me including.

  • Makes me laugh every time I see someone do a kipping pull up and they STILL don't get their chin above the bar! crossfit is a decent exercise method for people who want to be in better shape, it's not hardcore, it does not make elite athletes, that's just marketing hype. 20 strict dead hang pull ups is hardcore and probably more intense, especially if you start from 0.

  • @biggamejames79 Well have you tried it? You're an ignorant prick. Crossfit is fucking hardcore. Bring one of your so-called hardcore bodybuilders or what else you got to the crossfit gym, and you'll see em fall to the ground grasping for air within a 10-minute workout, I promise you.

  • @tfelbo Circuit training is NOT hardcore, it's been around since the 50's as a way to build endurance, but as for maximal strength it's lacking. It makes a person good at many things but great at nothing. As the crossfit slogan goes, "jack of all trades, master of none." And anyone can do cf workouts if they train for them, it's nothing magical or elite, just circuit training. People like you who act like it's something it's not give it a bad name.

  • @biggamejames79 a lot of crossfitters can do more than 20 strict pullups, i dont see how this is so hardcore to you but hey whatever atleast im not a bodybuilding fag doing bicep curls at your globo gym

  • I LOVE WOMEN WHO DO CROSSFIT! I am on deployment right now and since we are in port right now, i think i will be doing this WOD tomorrow morning. keep it up!

  • i'm addicted to crossfit workouts!!!

I recently won our company talent contest doing my take on Judson Laipply's evolution of dance. I won first place. If you get a chance please check it out.

    It's called " Randy's Evolution of Dance "

I hope everyone checks it out and leaves me some comments.

  • Is There actually people out there trying to bash on this? Two words for you all. Step Up. Let's see how you buffoons do.... Probably wont even be able to finish the pull ups alone.

I just got finished a class of this and I can barely walk up the stairs to my bedroom because every step burns.... Talking about some real jelly legs here guys and gals ahah. But honestly, this is an Amazing work out and I can't wait to continue.

  • bottom line they are prolly in better shape than the 500 lbs greasy cheeseburger eating swamp donkey that made the comment and if they want to show them "perfect form" make your own clip and put in on here till then good work and tough sledding

  • And for anyone who thinks that there pullups are bad form or some other crap.. there called Kipping pullups.. look it up! And if any of you are looking to inprove your pullups try a workout called death by pullups its killer!

  • Just go to Crossfit.com dude... all there workouts and training videos are there!

  • Any1 can help me about this trening? I need more info, plans etc.... In my country i cant find informations about CrossFit....

Please contact me to mail: cameleon88@interia.pl

    Thanks a lot! :)

  • damn, now these people are fuckinG STRONG

  • Good video, shit music.

  • Okay you get a like because of the girls straight up! I was impressed by everything except... I know its controversial with the pullups about if they are right or wrong but bottom line they hardly make you stronger regardless if anything your core might get more explosive strength but thats about it.. the injury isnt worth the benefits... also the Iike how even though they were getting tired they were doing their hang cleans with pretty good form! but dont drop them... hope you break a tibia! ha

  • @beautyblind1 agreed...the injury isnt worth the marginal benefits...at best this can be done once in a while to shake things up...

  • @pacman211 true Ill give you that.. I have some friends that like to do parkour, they suck at it but they are trying at least and they do alot of crossfit stuff... so I can see the benefits but if you really want to gain some muscle its just not the best way

  • wow hats off to these ladies.

  • haters! these girls are beautiful! keep up the good work and thanks for the motivation

  • After seeing these workouts when introduced to Crossfit by a friend I'm ready to change my whole workout and reach my goals with these guys.

  • these pussies swing their weight around on their pull ups to make it easier. they are dochebags that think they are hot shit

  • @spartinbob69 If you actually look up the pull ups they're doing, you'd realize that it's a legit form. There aren't only one kind of pull ups. I'm definitely sure you wouldn't be able to do one round of what they do anyway which is the reason why you're down playing what they're doing in the first place. Don't knock it until you try it.

  • @DirtyMekanic learn how to use regular grammar stupid shit hahah. i can do all that little pussy shit they are doing and more. i do cross fit all the time and they are doing pussy pull ups.

  • @spartinbob69 For real? You're going to shoot insults? How old are you, 11? You really need to grow up kid. Got no more words for you.

  • @DirtyMekanic Vicrory is mine

  • @spartinbob69 Yeah, really mature kid.

  • so gay, buy a t shirt fags

  • At every oly lift competition event I have viewed and video displayed isn't the point of the power clean to lift yourself off the ground on the jump?

I personally am a crossfitter and just asking for insight as I plan on doing this workout today lets see how well I do. 400m and pull ups are win for me :)

  • @pathogenicentity I'm not a crossfitter, but I am a kinesiology major and a track coach - no, the point of doing a power clean isn't to get off of the ground, it's to be explosive. Granted, people do raise off of the ground when power cleaning, but it's not wholly necessary. Also, they're not doing power cleans in this video, those are hang cleans.

  • @4given490x Wouldn't it only be a hang clean if they pulled it into a full squat? That is labeled a hang power clean just saying.

  • @pathogenicentity... *smh, Lol, yes sir, you are correct, it is a hang power clean

  • um....those aren't pull ups.

  • why is it that every single crossfit video ive ever seen - is never anything new, interesting, or remotely functional...?

IT just seems that crossfit does the same 12 or 15 exercises in every single workout.

  • @chrismurphy333 You are a total idiot.

You evidently have fuck all knowledge of fitness or exercise.

  • @danfrost313 Why is it that you think I know "fuck all knowledge of fitness or exercise" ? What is it about cross fit that is Functional or sport specific? Do you understand what Functional training is or do you need me to explain it to you - because a kippling pullup is anything but functional. In real life - there is no need to violently swing your whole body in order to achieve the goal of getting your chin over a bar. I bet you think that "CORE" means abs and a plank right? Read A Book.

  • @chrismurphy333 It *is* functional. I have been doing Parkour fully for about 4 years, and I've just learnt how the easiest way to climb on top of a horizontal pole...the kipping chin-up.

OH MY IT HAS A FUNCTION.

  • @chrismurphy333 If you were getting chased by a tiger and had to get over a fence would you make sure you do perfect form for your pullup, or would you use your momentum and do a kipping pullup to get over the fence faster?

  • @chrismurphy333 theres no funtion in doing any form of dead hang pull upp in life....

  • @rnlmc23para - if the function is to work the back and rear delts.... and not rip your joints apart with that silly swing shit - then yes... there is function in Traditional pull ups - of any kind.

  • @chrismurphy333 CrossFitters can clearly do normal pull ups, they choose not to. Why? Beacuse normal pull ups are for pussys

  • @chrismurphy333 Do you want them to come up with new movements or something? I suppose you want them to add in some bicep curls, cause thats going to benefit a human being really well. They use these movements because they are used all over and are some of the best movements you can do to get fit. Unless your saying that there is an entire sport that is pointless but im 100% sure that olympic weightlifting gold medalists will disagree with you

  • @aarnsafag can I ask what ur profession is and your background in wellness... As for the tiger - the human body will do whatever it needs to in order to defend its self/run away/etc... In your own words...can you please explain the term functional training and how crossfit is influenced by it. If you want to see what we do - then just take a look at my page if you get a moment. We dont do the "golds gym bicep curl workouts." Try my 3 min bodyweight workout. Id like to see other peoples #'s

  • the point of crossfit is to go for least time. kipping pullups and butterfly pullups are insanely fast compared to dead hang. and if you go for high reps you will definitely be feeling it no matter what form you use.

  • You all are amazing!!! Time to get it done!

  • nicely done love crossfit...

  • how many sets do you do?
