C' on Her stuffs are being sold at Kohl's.. so she is targeting low end or mass public market(so called commoners). Those customers usually tend to go for nothing dramatic or challenging but simple and what you guys call "H&Mish". How many "The Hills" watcher( which is her main target market) can afford or pull off Probal Gurung's dress at Barney's? She's just being smart. (not as smart as Vera Wang who can both pull off at Mass public level like her collections at Kohl's)

@Mathewbitch maybe she will later, she is still young and still new, Vera has been at it for much longer, I work at kohls and I actually like her stuff because I can dress it up more if I want to, a lot of stuff that comes out with "imagination" and what not I would never buy because it is too out there just for me but not bad. we'll see what happens! :)

I didn't like the cinematographer. Moving the camera around was disjointing and focusing more on the people in the audience, the models faces than the actual clothes.

The clothes were amazing, you could see Lauren behind the clothes. They looked like her. That´s the thing, the clothes are something what people actually use. The huge dresses with everything in them and the weirdest things on the models doesn´t maybe look boring but they are only used in fashion shows. No one uses that kind of clothes. There´s clothes what someone who is not so brave can use and feel good.

she did go to school. she has a degree in fashion desgin and product development from the fashion institute of design and merchandising. ;o)

and i highly doubt you know your brush pens from your layout paper. Just because your scope on the fashion industry is minimal and you probably believe that everything needs to be ostentatious to stand out, doesn't make it true. everything you use in your life is designed. simple and effective is just as strong and powerful as over the top and artistic.
