  • this is a really hard song to learn

  • Perfeito! Perfeito! excelente!

  • This is such a unique piece. It's awesome!

  • Love his style

  • Where is Lechuck?

  • I think that some people go to random videos all day just to click the dislike button

  • A wonderful piece flawlessly executed. Bravo!

  • Beats Segovia.

  • HE'S BETTER THAN ZACK WYLDE!!!!

  • Wish I could play like that :L

  • sick

  • I think Andrew is the Chopin of classical guitar: the perfect marriage between technique and deep musical expression. I think that guitarists like Mckee, Dufour, etc. are truly amazing but they are below Andrew because of this: their music "weights" less than the technique; it is too determined by the "physics" of the guitar. Andrew´s music is thought for the guitar (like Chopin´s was for piano) but still would have a lot of entity and depht when performed in another instrument or arrange.

  • @PacoHRGuitar Agree 100%. McKee is good, but I once made the mistake of commenting on a video of one of his songs to the effect that the string tapping and percussion on the body are a little gimmicky - that in addition to the open tuning he was using. It, not unexpectedly, generated some nasty comments. York is an exceptional guitarist and composer. I don't need to see him playing to be wowed by it.

  • bravo! If you apply the sounds almost like me ...

Jokes aside, is one of the favorites of my repertoire, along with Introduction & Sunburst.

I really like your music so much, congratulations

  • Ive just found this guy.

    Its amazing.

    How he isnt famous ?

  • He's pretty well known... you ever heard of LAGQ

  • One word for this piece: MAGIC!!!

  • This guy, is very underrated, especially when everyone talks about andy mckee and antoine dufour, despite they can play their own style flawlessly. This stuff is way more in-depth to me atleast.

  • I definitely agree with you. Andrew York doesnt get enough recognition as he should. No disregard to andy, antoine, or don ross...they are brilliant guitarists and make amazing music but York is way more in depth and deserves the same amount possibly more recognition than todays acoustic guitar icons

  • @thatswhatshesaidtome Haha another add on to your point. Even if not all of the biggest guitar players in the world play Yorks pieces, they certainly still teach them to their students. This is important music!

  • @thatswhatshesaidtome alot deeper but you gotta admit antoine is pretty awesome

  • @thatswhatshesaidtome I agree, and in my opinion this stuff is much more difficult to preform.

  • @thatswhatshesaidtome In my opinion, he's not underrated, he comes from another generation (I didn't write "belong"). I may be wrong, but what brought Andy and Antoine to "our" attention was Youtube. I first discovered them thanks to it anyway, and I went deeper: and I found Andrew York.

If I hadn't seen Andy's videos, I would have never discovered Andrew's marvelous pieces.

  • So much better than Dragonforce.

  • lol wow i dont think that comparison has ever been made before lol

  • It's two totally different genres, uncomparable.

  • @sslfsociety

OH i see what u did there.

you're basicly saying that even if this was a video of food being digested and expelled as a way of excrement, it still would be better than eurodancemetal dragon force.

    yes sir. i agree

btw this dude cant eally play the guitar.. lots of feeling

  • @sslfsociety Agreed!

  • genial

  • Aghh that bass line is just perfect! It annoys me how well the whole piece flows!

  • annoy? lol nice

  • i feel EXACTLY the same... lol

  • merly????? entonces sta muy chida

no ya en serio esta muy chida

  • love the bass ;3

  • does anyone know where I can get the score for this? anyone?..... please

  • well if you're willing to pay you can order any of his works from his website i think

  • Comment removed

  • he's style fingerstyle or classical ???

  • Umm, classical. That's a classical guitar. However, all classical guitar is fingerstyle ... unless you play it with a pick Iike I did when I was a kid ... and it pissed off my dad because I was wrecking it.

  • yeah i got into fingerstyle when i payed in mariachi, and when i went i got my new regular steel string guitar i nearly killed my nails from using em like i would lol, BTW i was the only white guy in mariachi class in my highschool, and im still the only white guy that ever took it LOL and i loved it!

  • the bass almost all in stacatto....

  • Wow, it inspires me too practice more, I never heard this particular piece before - nice:)

  • Outstanding!

  • this song is too much good,i can't stop to listen to it

  • Incredible. That's York himself, right?

  • No, my friend, that is God manifest in human form. There is no other excuse for music like this.

  • 2:09 GREAT

  • Fuuuuck, this is goooood

  • He makes it look so easy... lol

  • I want tabs for this!!!!!

  • The passage that starts at 2:09 is INCREDIBLE

  • To have something coming out of your mind sounding like this is amazing, and very intresting. how does it feel to be andrew york composing? must be awesome

  • Jah Bless!

  • sounds like there's 3 guitarist playing, but it's only two hand and one mind :)

  • Superb playing.

  • andrew you are the freaking mannnnn!!!!!

  • Simply amazing! Andrew IMHO is the best contemporary classical guitar composer and performer.

  • I just gotta agree, this man is both an amazing player and a truly talented composer. Bravo!!!

  • I loveeeeeeee it!! =]

  • Very veru good! Is fantastic!! The music is my fevorite wich subrust.

Bye Bye. Stefano Marchetto by Italia...

  • I heard this song on NPR and went home and Bought it.

  • Andrew York is success!

  • Just finished learning this song yesterday. Andrew York is amazing.

  • bollocks

  • Mind-blowing.

  • fantastic!!!!

  • I can play this up to about the 16th bar...after that it's all over with. This guy is fuckin' amazing.

  • Because he is the composer

  • where can i buy this note.

  • Sound great in the rhytm part at the end seems difficult move of left hand.

  • Andrew York he is famous contemporary classical gtr composer and this seems for regaae legend Bob Marley? Right

  • Actually, I think that the title has something to do with a character from a Christmas Carol. I don't know. According to my guitar instructor, Andy york can be a bit enigmatic when it comes to his titles. My instructor's guitar orchestra commissioned Ask The Sphinx and my instructor was unable to get the meaning of the title out of him. Haha

  • I bought this in gsp and i think he mean both....

  • well judging by the obvious reggae influence and title i say it's a double reference to bob marley and marley's ghost from a christmas carol

  • That fretboard is HAPPENIN'!

  • me encanta la forma de tocar de andrew, escuchen tambien la de sunburst!!!!!!!!!

  • lol im only 13 and i only go on here to watch lesbians but i saw that guy on a field trip!

  • olha só quem anda postando videos aki... achei na cagada zat!!

    hahahaa
