@Davehassoul AW Gosh Darn it. Isn't crazy. They heard rumors about The Stable and said I was too young, yet they didn't hear rumors about the VFW, and let me go there, after quite a run at Teen Town only, from 6th grade to...maybe 8th or 9th. And I guess there was drinking at the VFW but I never saw any. I was a bit young in 66, turned 13 that year 7th and 8th grade. I believe you know my older brother, if you are Dave. Everyone knew you, but I didn't, really.

@Davehassoul One more thing. After the Stable became Middle Earth, I was allowed to go there, and then there was drinking I'm sure. It's all so ironic, looking back. But I really don't remember seeing any drinking there when it was Middle Earth. But I do remember seeing Mudcrutch there! And do you know that Mudcrutch rebanded? Look for their nifty videos on youtube....
My God, can you imagine going down to the Derry Down and, well, it's Friday I guess I'll see th Starfires do I Never Loved Her and, oh, Saturday why not hop on by and see this band with the cool name too?
This a long, long time ago in a far away land. It was a good time in a good place... We didn't know at the time just how good it was... Glad I was there. Thanks for taking me back to 1966!
