  • that hurts

  • Is there no danger that this procedure itself could damage a woman's fertility? Injecting a dye could set up an infection scarring the fallopian tubes leaving a previously fertlle woman sterile.

  • That procedure is called an HSG! Every woman is different as we all know and the pain differs. I had the test done a month ago and it hurted. I just foung out that both my tubes were blocked.

  • @Sweet1Lilmomma28: Did the dr tell you what caused the tubes to get blocked?

  • @Sweet1Lilmomma28 me too :(

  • I'm having this test done in a week... I'm scare to death... }=

  • Isn't it called a Hycosy. If so... Been there done that, gives you regular cramping afterward.

  • I can see the ovary and the fallopian tubes and the red dye but can I ask you what is that yellow stuff behind it?

  • is it painful and expensive test ?

  • It is expansive. Testing tubal patency is only one part of the laparoscopic investigation into the causes of infertility. Endometriosis , structural deformaties etc can also be diagnosed. It is done in a operting theatre under anesthstic.

The costs will differ in different countries abd the type of medcal insurance available

  • One lady said it hurt, bad.
