@katysct She is awesome--100% sound, a much-improved angle to her coffin bone in the right front, and jumping again. Please check out my more recent videos to see her in action. :)
How nice of her that she taped for you. Its been a while since her last video cross fingers shell have an update of them both soon. As for clue well i think you know my feelings on her by now. Such a star and a little warrior. Keep it up you girls make us all proud .
o wow both of your horses a pretty i like the buckskin lol wish i had one like that i cant seem to find a buckskin for jumping over 3 foot to 4 2 or 4 6 lol
Thank you! I've always had a soft spot for buckskins myself. :) There's a couple really awesome buckskin jumpers on YT--I highly recommend you check out xxchloentoffeexx's channel, b/c she's doing the height range you mentioned. There's lots of buckskin talent out there! :)
I was wondering, what determines the succession of her work load. Does she still have lingering effects that are preventing a harder ride. Or does she lack the muscle tone and strength to do so?
Her tone and stamina have come back--with a vengeance, haha--but we've been taking the slow and cautious route. Clue has been trying to push the envelope the whole time, really, and it's been me who's wanted to vie on the side of caution with how I bring her back. Her farrier has given her clearance to return to canter work, and we had our first canter since 2007 yesterday! I'll have it up soon! :) The big thing is, she does still try to guard that right front sometimes, but it's habit.
btw - i love the footage @ the end of her in her pasture!! she looks like she is enjoying the new weather :D does she wear bell boots 24/7?( <---- random question!)
Thanks! Yeah, she's in bell boots to protect her Epona shoes--in addition to being rather costly, since she overreaches, she can clip them and pull them off. They are glued/nailed, but as you've seen, she's not the quietest horse in the paddock or during work, lol. :)
Hah i know what you mean - I always have bell boots on my boy, and he is just in regular shoes. But it's such a hassle to have then throw/damage a show and to get the farrier out, plus stop work until then! So I could see why in Clue's case you would always have them on. Does she wear them even in her stall? Because i've heard of horses in similar situations that NEVER take them off. Heh yeah she was so cute in the paddock!
Yeah, her and her bell boots are soul mates, lol. :) They are on even in her stall. They of course get diligent cleanings to ensure they're not too icky and that they're not rubbing on her. She seems happy enough in them, but it's probably about time I get her some additional colors... :)
Hah that's probably a good thing that she wears them all the time - i'd hate to see something happen to her that could be easily prevented by bell boots! Lol i like the lime green. But i'm sure she would appreciate a new "bell boot wardrobe". What girl doesn't like new clothes??
she's looking a lotttt more comfortable at the trot - you can barely notice she's guarding it :D hah it's glad that she hasn't lost how forward she was before her accident! you can tell she's just dying to canter!!! but at least she's trying to keep herself composed hahah
Heh, she certainly was more composed than that ride outside! I have footage from yesterday I am going to compile and get on here of her first canter under saddle since 2007! ;)
Thank you so much for filming and for visiting! :) It was nice to have you around! I'm excited to bring our act on the road and hit up the local PA scene. ;)
