@blanchetteify c'est la version du livre qui dit vrai. De plus ici sur National Geographic Channel il y a une émission intitulée "Banged up abroad" et ce soir c'était justement le vrai James Hayes qui raconte comment il s'est enfuit, à bord d'une petite barque pour rejoindre la côte puis ensuite franchir la frontière entre la Gréce et la Turquie. Les Grecs l'ont ensuite extradé vers les USA

Racism will never go away it's always been part of this world and will always be there because we're human and there's good and evil in this world along with free/self will. I don't like it either! but that's life and that's reality. By Giorgio Moroder - Soundtrack to Midnight Express (in UK distributed by EMI films - not sure re Europe). The original soundtrack has been deleted but you can find it easily - Ebay and such. Someone will make you a burn , no problem. I recommend - it is genius. BUT DO NOT GET A REMIX VERSION.

the UK version have a instrumental version of the movie???i have a original soundtrack (i'm italian) but the two version of the "midnight express theme"are different...the mix have a drum and the second version have a drum and female voice...

Saddest ending ever even if it's a "happy" one!

2:22 makes my eyes water because you completely feel the relief of the character!

And at 2:50 you and the character think he's just going back to the hellhole....incredibly moving.
